5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: same

Still running on the Dell and it's chincy 225Watt power supply.

Cons: I ended up commandeering my Arctic Cooling Accelero cooler off my old 6670 with an artcic cooling 120mm fan that I wire-tied onto it.

I didn't take off an egg as fans are usually hit or miss on video cards.

Other Thoughts: To guy below me. I have the HP Pavilion a6242n and tried to put a HD 5450 in and it would display anything, but booted up. I then realized that the AMD 5xxx series or newer use the PCIe 2.1 and you'll need a motherboard that supports it. Usually boards 2009 or newer.

I just put in my nvidia GT 430 and off I went. Not as good as this card, but you can get the gt 640 which will do pretty good.

Pros: Very Quiet

Low Power

Good Performance

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Seen a lot of people complain about the fan noise. When running at load they can be loud but with MSI's Afterburner you have total control of how loud they get.

Comes standard running at about 40% power which is a bit much. In the basic settings you can drop it down to 25% and going into custom profiles I've dropped it down as far as 10% at idle while keeping the temperature between 35-40c.

At 10% the thing can get quiet enough I had to open the case just to be sure the fan hadn't stalled.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!!!

Pros: HD 7750 is best card without extra power connectors!

Extremely low powered.

Runs cool even stock overclock.

Cons: Fans are a little noisy, but aren't all stock ones? Put on an Arctic Cooling Accelero fanless and heat stays below 70C at all times under extreme loads. Afterburner/Krombuster (ie Furmark)

Other Thoughts: I have this on my workstation with a xeon 1220l V2 17w dual core processor and a SuperMicro X9SAE motherboard (C216) with 8GB ECC/Unbuffered ram and it is awesome! I use window 8 with ALL of the Microsoft drivers from windows update.

Very low powered card, My headless (no graphics at all) 1220l V2 low power state was 21watts, now 35watts. This card pulls less than 15watts at idle.

1220l v2 normal power mode is 40watts, 7750 Under load 86Watts
which comes out to about 46watts max for this card under load.

1 out of 5 eggsNot sure : /

Pros: Good price, seems to be a good working card, if I could get it to register in my cpu.

Cons: Not sure

Other Thoughts: Hello everyone, I just bought a

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127665

under the impression it would work in my current machine.

I own a

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c01050235

Well, anyways, I received the video card today ready to go install it, and when I powered up my computer, my cpu wouldnt recognize the graphics card, did I get a bad card or is my current computer unable to run the card?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
This computer uses 250W power supply and the video card requires 400W to work.
Additionally, you need to connect the 6-pin PCIE power connector onto the video card.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the product, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will be more than happy to assist you, thank you.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: On paper it seems to be very impressive.

I like the DisplayPort connection, which means I can connect all three of my TFT's.

Cons: A few things:

1. When my monitors go into standby, and I have to move the mouse to get them working again I have noticed that sometimes there are areas of the screens that have missing pixels etc.

2. When waking my PC from standby I have noticed that the monitor connected via the VGA cable will sometimes not come on at all, or that my desktop configuration across all 3 screens has changed (for example, my middle TFT has the main desktop, But when waking from standby it changes to the left TFT). To resolve this I have to go into the Engine Control Centre and re-configure. Very annoying.

3. Sometimes when waking the PC from standby none of the screens come on at all, I can just see the mouse arrow on screen. For this I have to hard reboot. Not impressed.

4. I have noticed in the last few days that the fans are very loud, much louder than the CPU fan. Again I find this also very annoying. I am not a heavy gamer, and most of my time is spent multi-tasking.

Other Thoughts: All in all I haven't been too impressed by this graphics card. For the price I paid I expected much more. All of the problems aren't major issues, however they severely let this graphics card down.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
From what you are describing, there are a few things you to try.
1. Do a clean OS installation, as it can help to resolve many software-related issues
2. Update to the latest AMD Catalyst 12.8 driver
3. Use all digital connectivity and drop analog connectivity for best result.

However, if you are still having problems, then please do not hesitate to contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will be more than happy to assist you, thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: This card offers great performance for the price. I am using a low end computer that I bought about a year ago. It has a AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.0GHz. I put this card in and it runs flawlessly. I have only played a few games, but MW3 playes on max with 1920x1080 and get 40+ FPS. Dirt 3 runs Maxed out too!

I read a few reviews on NewEgg.com about the card being loud. I don't know if they got a faulty one or something, but this card at 100% fan speed is quieter than my CPU Fan. I barely hear it.

Cons: Non!

Other Thoughts: This card is great. Don't expect it to run BF3 on Ultra Settings, but it gets the job done. And for the price, yes, you can get other cards for only $50 more, but this was perfect for my budget.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Power draw is low enough that it does not need any PCIE power connections directly from the power supply. Idle temps are under 30C. Bought this for my wife who games casually. (L4D2, CSS) All games run above 60FPS. Pretty amazing, considering price and power requirements.

Love the size of the heatsink and the fact the card mounts uses two slots at the rear of the case.

Cons: My only complaint: The fans are LOUD.

Even when using the AMD CCC and setting fans to 25% it was still louder than anything I had inside the case while idling at the Windows 7 desktop. Drives me bonkers, and I hope a manufacturer releases an after-market cooler for this card.

Other Thoughts: Runs with a Core2Duo E6850, 4GB G.Skill DDR2, Enermax Liberty 500w PSU and Windows 7.
