4 out of 5 eggsFor the extreme budget gamer

Pros: Doesn't require an extra power connector
Slightly overclocked out of the box
Can fit into small cases

Cons: One of the hottest and loudest running non-reference cards

Other Thoughts: I picked up this card for my extremely low-budget gaming build (sub $450). Compared to other 750 Ti cards offered by various manufacturers, this version runs a tad hotter and louder. The reason I bought this card was simply because it was on sale and fit into my budget. At the time, I simply could not afford a more powerful GPU. However, that's not to say the 750 Ti is a BAD card by any stretch of the imagination. Paired with a decent CPU, it should be able to run most modern games on medium-high settings at 60 FPS. From my own tests, it was able to easily handle Battlefield 3 on high settings with max temps hovering around 65 C.

Recommendation: If you have a mid-range budget, there are better performing cards for just ~$30 more. However, if you are on a really tight budget like I was and need a decent GPU for gaming (and don't mind playing on medium-high settings), then this card isn't a bad choice.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away

Pros: Easy install, no issues with updating to latest drivers.

Cons: Video starting crashing when playing ESO and other games. Video would just quit. I checked to see if the card was seated properly first, no issues. I went back to my old card to ensure it wasn't another hardware issue. I have yet to have a crash at all with the old card installed. Not the first time I have had issues with MSI gear...won't buy any again!

Other Thoughts: I have had multiple MSI hardware failures and would not recommend buying anything from them.

5 out of 5 eggs-20W comparing to 650Ti

Pros: Same or higher performance as 650Ti depending on application
20W power saving in both idle and busy cycle
No need for PCI-e power cable

Cons: No documentation for BIOS/UEFI switch

Other Thoughts: I got the card as a replacement of my 650Ti 1GB. I did power measures before and after the upgrade. The difference is about 20W for both busy and idle states (busy was created by SETI@Home GPU computing). I expected much more from the TDP numbers but I should have known better that 650Ti does not come close to the limit.
I did not run performance tests but I assume up to 20% increase.

1 out of 5 eggsNice idea, but poor QC for MSI.

Pros: I have to say this card gave me a very positive impression in the first couple hours.
1) Really low TPD. Full-load at 60W with highest temp of 68 C.
2) No external power supply needed. I used Cooler Master's 350W PSU and the whole set works perfect.

It performances very well on my Mini-ITX setting. For the first time I feel the power of technology----such a strong card with such little power consuming and such strong performance. I hope Nvidia can go further on this path.

Cons: Really poor QC and this is the reason why i give it 1 star.
After hours of gaming, i got several black-outs and freezes----totally ruined my happy day. So I conducted an overall check from CPU to Ram to Graphic by using Aida 64, MemTest64, 3DMArk and Furmark but no error reported. Then I took this card to my friend's and same issue happened. My guess is there is something wrong with certain GPU ram, when you play games under ultra-settings it will be unstable.
I have to RMA, but i'm getting another GTX 750.
Hope i'm the only one giving 1 star---------since I really like the idea behind it.

5 out of 5 eggsmsi gtx 750 ti

Pros: -got it cheap
-low power
-no PCI-E connector
-high clock speeds

Cons: if i had to say anything it would be that the cooler goes beyond the PCI bracket, but its not by much, and it shouldn't matter unless your case is really really small

4 out of 5 eggsUNDOCUMENTED SWITCH for Legacy BIOS

Pros: Fast card with low power (around 85 watts max consumption) it says it requires 400 W PS but if your rig does not have a lot of accessories and you have a 300 W PS you'll should be ok. (although, as they say, your mileage may vary)

Cons: IMPORTANT- If you have a HP or other PC with an BIOS older than 3 years old this card WILL work but ONLY if you do the following: there is an UNDOCUMENTED SWITCH on the upper left hand side (closest to the ports) numbered 1-2 the default setting is 2 to work with UEFI compatible BIOS. If you switch this to 1 it WILL WORK with in Legacy BIOS mode! Of course it will be slightly slower but not much.

Other Thoughts: I have no idea why this is not mention in any of the docs but I found it on the web and it saved me sending this awesome card back! Seems a lot of people are running into this and sending back cards that are fine. MSI needs to add this to their docs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat gpu, great price, great power

Pros: Great power for mid-level build. I can run most games suck as borderlands, skyrim, goat simulator, TF2 on the highest settings, and only hit a max of 60º C. The fan is ultra quiet up until about 68º C, but you can customize the curve. MSi software included allows you to adjust the fan speed, and also manual overclocking. Also its powered through the pci express slot, so no fiddling around with 6+2 or 8 pin connectors.
This was also able to run GTA on a PS2 emulator at 6x native resolution, and didn't even blink.

Cons: It is currently covering up either a pci slot or a pci express x4 slot, not that I would need it, though.
it does however, provide a challenge when trying to create an efficient airflow, but then again, I do have a 12 year old case with only 2 80mm fans which are not currently installed.

Linux support is spotty. the nouveau driver currently does not work for NVIDIA's Maxwell gpu, so you must enter 'nomodeset' in the boot config.

5 out of 5 eggsPerformance Injection 1920x1080

Pros: Low power consumption coupled with high performance. Brings life back to old systems that are capable of feeding it with enough cpu power. I have used it in two systems and could tell a difference in both - A8N32SLI Deluxe with an Opteron 185 A 3.2GHz and 2Gigs of RAM / Gigabyte X48-DQ6 with a Q6600 Core 2 Quad @ 3.2 / fsb@1600, 4 Gigs ddr2.
The card is stable on both systems out of the box without attempting to overclock. After playing the original Crysis game and some Starcraft 2 I would say that the card is being held back by the older processors. Starcraft 2 bogs the processors down quite a bit during times in the game when there are lots of units running about. Even the Q6600 was brought to its knees in Starcraft on high/ultra (10-15fps). The video card it seems would be perfect with a little more cpu muscle. On both platforms I at least doubled my fps at the medium settings I had been using and the q6600 fps scaled with the level of overclock. Windows XP also is holding the performance back a bit. In general I was able to turn up the eye candy 1-2 levels and be in the game so to speak. Performance is linked to the type of game engine.

Cons: None. Great boost.

Other Thoughts: First person shooters may benefit more in the framerate department with respect to older machines. If you play games like Starcraft 2 where there could be several hundred units in need of your processor then even the q6600@3.2 was experiencing some lag in the big battles on high/ultra settings. I think this would be a great card for any modern or last generation processor with a high clock rate. I have retired the Opty system and will use the card in the q6600 system. The dual core Opteron running at 3.2 was plenty fast for Crysis on high settings and 2AA getting 32-56 fps. In Starcraft 2 this processor just doesn't have enough computing power. The Q6600 does.
Cannot even hear the card. It blows the exhaust back into the case and not out of a vent by the header. Not an issue for my Mozart Tx case with Ultrakaze fans. hehe
