1 out of 5 eggsBoo on you

Pros: Newest drivers make it work to it's fullest potential.

Cons: Fullest potential does not get off the ground. I got this card as a hand-me-down from my father who is a GAMER. Strange to hear that come out of my mouth but he's almost 70 and loves any kind of racing game out there. I know why he game it to me though. It doesn't perform at all. Tried playing BF2, COD4 and all I get is nasty lag and a pixeled picture. Also, the price is outrageous. Just got a Radeon 4830 for $ 40 cheaper.

Other Thoughts: I will say that this card might be good for older systems without PCIe, but save your dough if you are serious about playing games. Upgrade your motherboard or buy your dad a new game for his PC.

2 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: Not really any. didn't see any increase in performance over the onboard.

Cons: I had this thing for two years, a little better than onboard, was able to play CoD 2 and LoTR BFME2 with high settings. otherwise thats about it.

Other Thoughts: Scored a 611 with 3DMark06. a 611.....yeah.
had a celeron 2.53 Ghz processor and 2GB DDR RAM. just a piece of junk setup. I'm getting dual 9600 GT's and im sure that will bump up the score just a little bit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PCI Card

Pros: **This is the 2nd Best PCI Card**

I put this thing in an old computer that had 512 mb ram and a 1.8 ghz intel celeron that had integrated graphics and didnt have agp of pcie slot so i got this and im happy i did... ITS NOT A SUPER GAMING CARD!! i bought specifically for half life counter-strike 1.6 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.. Plays those games flawlessly and the dual monitors were great..

This is good for old rigs that u wanna play games on... not new rigs... like i tried it in my new pc and it didnt outpreform my integrated in my new pc i dont know why but it just didnt... so if u have a pc made in like arround 2000-2003 that dosnt have a agp or pcie slot.. buy this one..

Other Thoughts: Ive had this for over a year and is still working like i just bought it (my old computer is now my moms)

3 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: Works great for my dual monitor setup. I added this card to complement my AGP card so that I can have 3 monitors and 1 HDTV connected all at once. I'm using XP Pro 64 and Vista Ultimate 64 and it works fine in both.

Cons: DEFINITELY NOT FOR GAMING. Great for adding extra monitors to your desktop or running a basic workstation, but do not expect to be able to game with this thing.

Other Thoughts: Good card, WAAAAYYY overpriced but it does all that's expected of it.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat card, wish it worked for me.

Pros: Great technical specs. Not that expensive when you consider Visiontek had to create a PCIe to PCI bridge so this dual-DVI, Vista-compatible, card would work on older boards.

Cons: I couldn't get it to work on my Dimension 4550 desktop, but it did work on the Optiplex 745 small form factor. Although Windows detected the card, the Device Manager gave a Code 12 (could not allocate enough resources). I tried everything in the book and Visioneer thought the card was bad (I didn't tell them about the 745). Of course I only saw the error because I had AGP card installed simultaneously. My system would boot, but not display, if the PCI card were installed by itself, even after configuring the BIOS to use PCI video instead of AGP.

Other Thoughts: My guess is the Dimension 4550 doesn't correctly implement the 3.3V signaling of PCI 2.3.

3 out of 5 eggsRadeon X1300 PCI

Pros: Best PCI card around. Runs games from 2005 on Mid-High. Includes Shader Model 3.0.

Cons: Extremely Expensive. 4 Pixel Pipelines for this price is ridiculous.

Other Thoughts: This will run Windows Vista's interface just fine. In all honesty this card is way out of it's performance to price range. For this much money you can get something about 2-3 times better using another interface(AGP or PCIe). If you have money to spend I would suggest upgrading your motherboard and buying a more powerful video card. Shader Operations: 1800 Operations/sec
Pixel Fill Rate: 1800 MPixels/sec
Texture Fill Rate: 1800 MTexels/sec
Vertex Operations: 225 MVertices/sec

Good luck! :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card. Be careful with these reviews.

Pros: Excellent PCI standard card. Performs as it should, no issues under Windows XP or Vista Ultimate.

Cons: The only con might be if the buyer is ignorant and is wanting a cheap primary video card for high end gaming. As in all things, you get what you pay for. This is not meant to be a card for running many of the more recent games (like WoW) at full detail. Anyone expecting it to run full detail WoW at 1600x1200 is going to be disappointed with this card. Quality gaming costs money... and if you don't have it, then don't whine about it. Oh, and most of the time when you see "high understanding" associated with these ratings you're actually looking at the ramblings of some kid that opened up their pc and stuck a card in and now think they're technological experts.

Other Thoughts: I run this card as a secondary video card. I have three monitors that I wanted to connect via DVI. This card replaced my old 9250 board running my secondary and tertiary monitors. The 9250 isn't supported by the same Catalyst driver set as my primary video card (Radeon X1950) but this x1300 is.

1 out of 5 eggsUMMM.... NO

Pros: Um.... I guess the only think I can say good about this card is that it does well on its resolutions when running normal applications on windows. Solitare has never looked better with this card.

Cons: Where to begin... Definitely not built for gaming. Very expensive for what you get. Horrible tech support, better to call nVidia and let them help you with it than VisionTek. I bought this video card to upgrade from my previous ATI Radeon 9250 PCI. What a horrible mistake. Before I ran Call of Duty 2 Flawlessly, NOW... I cant play a single online game because I cant see anyone due to all of the glitching and constant screen refreshes. I bought it to play BF2, UMMM.... NO, didnt work and will never work with this card.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card for an upgrade and I have the feeling I'm not the only person. If you DONT play video games on your PC and want to spruce up your graphics, then BOOM, here is the card for you. If your a gamer on a budget and no PCI-E slot on your motherboard then please save your $xxx dollars and put it toward a new PC that has a PCI-E slot.

1 out of 5 eggsHORRIBLE!

Pros: None... I could not get the thing to work with more than 12 colors at lowest resolution.

Cons: I had an absolute horrible time with this card. I bought it so I could play BF2, but after spending 5 (yes, FIVE!) hours on the phone with my computer's tech support, we still couldn't get it to work. And VisionTek's "help" SUCKED! Their "tech support" consited of "Try this and call back if it doesn't work." Never again will I buy from them. NEVER!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card But Not Meant for Gaming

Pros: This card is the best of just a few cards that were able to meet my requirements for good graphics and speed considering the constraints that I had to work with (Low profile graphics card with dual monitor support). This is really an excellent product

Cons: Not meant for Gaming. The manufacturer's specifications state the following: This card's graphics processor and memory are not recommended for most games, but it will still be fine for office applications and other normal computing tasks.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if there were more low profile cards to choose from.
