3 out of 5 eggsA Little Card with A Little Umph

Pros: It still works well and can play older games well and newer games all on low.

Cons: Too pricey

Other Thoughts: I bought this card years ago before I had a well rounded knowledge on hardware and hardware components. If I was smarter, I would have thrown my $100 elsewhere. All-in-all, this little card is still not useless by any means and I still plan on putting it through its rounds until the day it dies.

5 out of 5 eggsYes, Win 8 support!

Pros: Great for video watching. Smooth, clear graphics. Uses only 35 watts. Quality of build is better than newer cards.

Cons: Too old and slow for the newest games. Needs a DVI to HDMI splitter to hook up to today`s flat screens.

Other Thoughts: Mostly wanted to comment on the fact that it IS Win 8 compatible. You must use Catalyst 13.1 from the AMD website. Yes, it`s in legacy status (along with the 3000, and 4000 series cards), but works flawlessly with my Win 8.1 system.

1 out of 5 eggsCrashed System

Pros: Arrived quickly without damage

Cons: Crashed my system so completely that I can't boot. Swapped in my old video card back in but the system is so completely hosed that I can't even access the BIOS screen.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to get another few miles out of an older system, so when my video card started to fail, I purchased a VisionTek 900181 to replace it. Bad idea. Crashed my system so thoroughly I can't even see BIOS info, much less boot into Win 7. Fan on card runs, so lack of power connection isn't the culprit. No additional power couplings on the board, so nothing missing there. I love Newegg, but this card is going back.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money.

Pros: Very awesome for the price and I could play virtually any game I Wanted to on it. Its well worth the money. I am very pleased with the product.

Cons: Its DVI but the adapter works fine. Everything I own is VGA so it was just a personal annoyance. But dont worry if you have VGA then there is an adapter that comes with it to make it work.

1 out of 5 eggsRUN AWAY!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I am seeing the same problem reported by Cuddles: screen goes to powersave after "Starting Windows" is displayed. I have Win7Pro.SP1 on a new Intel DP67BG with I5-2550 and 8GB RAM.

Other Thoughts: Someone told me once that video cards were like oats. If you want good oats then you must pay the price for good oats. Or you can buy oats that were through the horse once already. Of course, that kind comes a little cheaper...

5 out of 5 eggshave to let people know ...

Pros: Anyone buying this card now is wasting money big time, This card was only a mid level card back in 2007. If you have a computer from 06 or 07 then maybe you should get a new computer, because the onboard is likely to be much better then this card. And as for buying this for compatibility with older PCIe 1.1 x16 slots Almost all new cards will run just fine in them, you wont have problems with it unless you try to run an ATI 6900 series or Nvidia 560 or higher.

Cons: Really none , it was a good card but now for the money you can get much better like this 6670
