Question 1

The video card has to DVI - can I have a 2-monitor configuration with this card? I have an older Dell Optiplex 380, but it is only for office use. No high graphics required. I just want the 2-monitor configuration.

As far as I can tell it shouldn't be a problem. I don't have a dual monitor setup but the amd catalyst control center which I am currently looking at provides a pretty straight forward setup. Automatic display detection and configuration settings for each monitor.

If you have the funds I would maybe opt for a better video card. After installing this one I've had some issues like Gpu crashing and graphic glitches on some games. Just my 2 cents

Question 3

Is this card really supporting CrossfireX?  It doesn't look like it has a bridge connector and all the SLI/Crossfire cards have the enclosed casing on 1 side of the card?  I just bought a "new" Asus mobo and it only has 2.0 x16 slots and I am learning that the mobo's claim to support quad SLI or CrossfireX may be useless as there are NO SLI or CrossfireX cards with 2.0 x16 bus available to buy anymore!  I hoped this card might save this mobo, but more bad claims, I think....

This card supports Crossfire via the motherboard instead of a bridge cable.  You will need to make sure the motherboard supports the feature.  My brother is currently using 2 of these in Crossfire on the M4A79XTD_EVO board by ASUS

The memory of the graphics card is GDDR2 does that need to be the same as the RAM? Also if i get a DDR3 graphics card will that not work with DDR2 RAM?

The memory does not need to be the same. Yes a DDR3 will work just fine in DDR2 system.

I guess im not understanding the question. There are regular AND low profile cards out there. There is a VisionTek Radeon 2600XT Low profile. But this cards form factor is not low profile. Hope that helps
