1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None. Could not get it to work at all on two different PCs.

Cons: This card was dead on arrival (DOA). Tried it on two different PCs with no video output. The fan runs but no video output whatsoever on either outputs. No help with tech support. Returned it immediately for refund.

5 out of 5 eggsVisionTek HD 3870

Pros: It is able to play most games I throw at it no problem on the highest settings at 1680x1050.

Cons: When I bought it it was about $220.

Other Thoughts: I was able to overclock it to 860 core and 2750 memory clock. With those settings with the fan at 100% it runs at about 56C idle and under 60C full load.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this Card

Pros: Great Card, i run 2 in Crossfire and never experienced Problems after almost a year. can play Crysis in max settings, Css, COD4, COD:WaW, Farcry2, all play fine with these cards. I'm really glad i bought these although, when i bought mine they were twice as much as this.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a really good video card that is going to let you play all the games you want, and not complain, and you're on a budget this is definetely the card for you, it brings the power to game, and doesnt let up til you turn off the system. Great Buy.

5 out of 5 eggsBest thing ive ever bought

Pros: This thing is the best bang for your buck you can get, not saying that its cheap at all, but for this price its the best. I havent had one problem with it except when my processor cut out when i was playing crysis maxed out and the display quit for about 1.5 seconds. but thats it

Cons: The only cons here are that i didnt have more money so i could but the x2 version of this :(

3 out of 5 eggsAverage at best

Pros: Price point, only one 6 pin power supply.

Cons: Huge form factor, picture not great on 1080p brand new montior.

Other Thoughts: Had a HD2600 Pro with GDDR2 512mb pci-e 2.0

Picture seems worse not better, have no idea why I bought this.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the one

Pros: Relatively inexpensive. Benchmarked this with 3DMark06 against HIS ATI 4850 and it was just about the same. Why pay more? With my system I ended up with a rating of a bit over 11,000. My son wanted to buy the 4850, so it ended up in his system. :o) Card is running between 46 degrees C and 49 C. Mobo monitor shows 37 degrees C.

Cons: Can't seem to get the Catalyst Overdrive utility to overclock this card much. It Auto set the GPU clock to 805MHz (from 800) and memory didn't change. Will keep trying...

3 out of 5 eggs4870 or bust! *shrugs*

Pros: Great card! Can kick the **** out of most games and puts out a good FPS ratio in games like Crysis and Farcry 2. Definately worth a lookever and consideration, plus; most are healthy on the wallet.

Cons: Don't waste your time or money on any 3800 series that's clocked over 700mhz on it's core, unless you intend to remove the fan and copper block and replace it with a much more viable heat dispersion solution. This card can take a beating but it gets VERY HOT, VERY EASILY, if you can't afford water or mineral based cooling solutions, my suggestion is to either a.) underclock to 700mhz core (if your card is over 700), b.) save up and buy water/min eventually, or do as I DO, c.) put your PC in your basement (my basement is COLD) and keep the side of your computer open a little bit for hot air to escape.

Other Thoughts: I bought the MSI model, good card, good stability, a lot of people complain that the Catalyst drivers are buggy, this is utter bull-**** of course, as a BIOS update on my mainboard made ALL the troubles go away... RESEARCH PEOPLE!!! It's called Google for a reason...

5 out of 5 eggsNo heat, stable and quite.....

Pros: runs all my games smooth with no issues whatsoever. it's not the 4850 or 4870 which i had before "read below." but i will say this if you want a card that does not heat up or make loud noise like an F-22 Raptor then this is you're card. the cooling system is great way better then the 4800 series. to bad i didn't look at this card before i would have saved myself the headaches i experienced for months.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: as i mentioned above i originally had the asus 4850 matched up w/the asus P5E3 Premium WiFi with 4 gigs of Platmium OZC 10666 w/a PSU 750+ watts XP PRO 32bit. whatever the case was i had major issues with this set-up for months. BSOD, crashes where i had to hard boot or straight hang ups making loud noises. after updating my bios 0606 and tweak the dram voltage to 1.76 and timing to 7-7-7-20 on my memory i finally go it somewhat stable. reading forums i came to the conclusion that the asus 4850 was the culprit the thing runs HOT. once i returned my card and got the 3870 my computer runs cooler and stable no crashes at all. IMO the card was effecting my north bridge with high heat. if the north bridge is to hot it will cause the computer to crash or hang. i'm not an over clocker so OC isn't the issue. i hope this helps someone make there decision in purchasing the 3870 plus Newegg is awesome. i will never shop somewhere else. :)

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: Everything about this card rocks. I have all my games on highest settings and there is no lag, no freezing, no artifacting, NOTHING! This card rocks on COD4, Left 4 Dead, TF2, Portal, HL2, BF2, BF2142. This card is worth every penny I paid for it and will be getting another one to put in my system to enable crossfire!!!!!!!

Thanks Newegg!!!!!

Cons: Heatsink is different than what is pictured. Its the same heatsink type as the arctic cooling and the ones on HIS graphics cards and is a really nice red color which actually goes good with my blue fans and blue corsair memory cooler.

Other Thoughts: Im running an Antec 900 case with Antec PSU and Abit AW9D Max mobo, 4gb DDR2 Kingston Hyperx Memory, 2 250 GB Seagate Hdd's, Logitech Illuminated KB, Logitech G7 wireless gaming mouse, and Lite On DVD Burner with Lightscribe. Pics of my computer can be seen at webshots. com, Just search for dalosiman.
