Nice SOHO AGP Card
- Pros: Low cost, compatible with my older AsRock P4 motherboard, ease of installation, and of course Newegg one day super service.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: AGP technology is obsolete and I wanted to get a dual DVI card before they disappeared entirely from the market.
Following the installation guide, I first uninstalled the old driver software from the computer. Then removed the old video card and installed this one. Then installed the new driver software directly from the supplied CD without any updating.
The software installed correctly the first time and I finished setting up the displays using the new software. The total installation and configuration time from opening the delivery box to in service operation was less than 30 minutes.
This hardware/software works perfectly in my home office computer. I am not using this for games or DVD playback.
ASRock P4VM800 mobo, 3 GHz 487 CPU, XPSP3, Dual 1280 by 1084 monitors.
Not compatible with many older AGP motherboards
- Pros: It's probably a decent card on AGP motherboards which work with it.
- Cons: It doesn't work at all with many AGP motherboards due to an incompatibility with many chipsets.
- Other Thoughts: Avoid ATI like the plague if possible, but if you insist on learning the hard way, give it a go.
works well for gaming after right driver
- Pros: worked vary well for me after i instaled the right drivers greet grafics abilitys on games such as halo and fable runs both my high resolution monitors with little lag and works well for video runs cooler and faster that my old ati radon 3000 series card the vison teck card runs from 27 C to 32 C greet gard for the price another greet ati product
