A good card for a fair price

Pros: Runs Borderlands maxed out, Fallout 3 looks great on Ultra, I run everything at 1680x1050. No stuttering or choppy frames so far. I haven't tested it on every game I have, but those are some of the ones that pushed my old system (AMD Athlon 3300+ 64 bit single core processor, EVGA 7800GS 256 mb AGP video card, now running an AMD Phenom 2 X4 955 3.2 ghz quad core and this card).

Cons: This card is big and heavy. It isn't the same one that is pictured, but that's not a big deal to me. I have the ASUS M4A77TD Pro mobo and this card blocks two PCI ports instead of just one. It only takes up two spots on the back, but uses the PCI Express slot, completely blocks one PCI slot, and hangs over part of another PCI slot, rendering it useless. I wish I had known this before buying.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't come with the CrossFire bridge, and only has one 6 pin adaptor. Wasn't a big deal to me since my power supply has enough 6 pin plugs and I'm not in CrossFire, but is something to keep in mind.

Good card!

Pros: This card has no problem running anything I throw at it, even with the settings turned up. The card I received was as pictured and have not had any problems with it, although when I got it, ATI's website didn't have the correct driver for it. Nothing that Newegg can control. I would recommend this card. I am thinking about getting a second one to run Crossfire. Card temp stays fairly low around 50 C at idle, jumps up some under load, nothing to really worry about though.

Cons: Loud fan. At 40%, the fan sounds like you are running several large fans on the case at about 2000+ rpms. Turn the fan up to 100%, it sounds like the card is about to take off out of the case. That's about the only problem I have found so far though.

Other Thoughts: Good card for the price.

Pros: If you buy a video card for its looks, then you buy a video card for the wrong reasons. This card may not be pictured as what you get. The picture shows a plastic enclosure. I have a medal plate on top of my card and inside my Antec case, heat is no issue!! This card consumes everything I throw at it on hightest settings!!

Cons: Card is heavy and sits akward from the PCI-express slot. The DVI ports dont line up perfectly for slots on back of the case. Makes fastening the dvi connectors from the monitor a bit difficult - minus one egg.

Other Thoughts: My previous card was a VisionTek x1650pro 512mb 256bit. I owned this card for three years. Was a good card and wanted to crossfire it with this build. But the price point wasn't there because not many left on the market and from what I seen only Visiontek made the 256bit for this model. I decided Visiontek again from having a good experience. I am glad I did...recommended buy.
