Crush your enemies and see them driven before you, that is what’s best. The factory over-clocked GeForce 8800GTS from EVGA helps make it happen. The core clock is boosted from 500MHz to 580MHz and the memory clock now runs at 850MHz (1.7GHz effective) instead of 800MHz. DirectX 10 support lets you crush your enemies in even the most modern games. When they start getting faster and more powerful, grab another card and watch SLI mode almost double your video power!

2 dual-link DVI-I ports let you hook up to 2 monitors, or a monitor and a TV. If you haven’t made the jump to flat panel monitors, or if they don’t have DVI ports, you’re still okay, since there are two DVI to VGA adapters. There is also an S-Video port that can transmit HDTV/component video as well as S-Video signals. The DVI ports are HDCP capable so you can watch HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs in full HD mode.

NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology combines high-definition video technology to deliver astounding clarity, smooth video, accurate color and precise image scaling. Built on its own discrete programmable core, you see great pictures and smooth movies with minimal CPU use and power. The advanced shader processors deliver a new level of physics effects rendered on the GPU. These combine to allow the CPU to focus on the game engine and AI. Think you can handle it? How about two?

  • newegg NVIDIA Unified Architecture with GigaThread Technology The fully-unified shader core dynamically allocates processing power to geometry, vertex, physics and pixel shading operations, delivering incredibly true-to-life 3D graphics. In addition, the massively multi-threaded architecture supports thousands of independent, simultaneous threads, providing extreme processing efficiency in advanced, next generation shader programs.
  • newegg Full Microsoft DirectX 10 Support The DirectX 10 GPU with full Shader Model 4.0 support delivers unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects.
  • newegg NVIDIA Lumenex Engine The NVIDIA Lumenex Engine supports 128-bit and 64-bit floating point HDR with up to 16X anti-aliasing, delivering vividly realistic lighting effects while obliterating “jaggies”.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Technology Delivers up to 2X the performance of a single GPU configuration for unmatchable gaming experiences. The must-have feature for PCI Express graphics, NVIDIA SLI technology allows two graphics cards to run in parallel and dramatically scales performance on today's hottest games.
  • newegg NVIDIA PureVideo HD Technology The combination of high-definition video decoding acceleration and post-processing delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color and precise image scaling for all video content, especially movies.
  • newegg Built for Microsoft Windows Vista Built for Windows Vista, NVIDIA's fourth-generation GPU architecture offers users the best possible experience using the Windows Aero 3D graphical user interface available in Microsoft latest operating system.

3 out of 5 eggs$45 dollar more for 4mhz!

Pros: Good card that can still over clock a little bit more.

Cons: Price, I would have saved me 45 dollars if I would of went with the 8800gts 640mb super clocked which only has 4 less mhz than the KO. The cooling is the same they just changed the top to make it look cooler

Other Thoughts: All in all I am happy but If I would of know better the 8800gts 640mb super clocked version is hands down over this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGaming Monster

Pros: Excellnet graphics, easy install, quiet fan and instant satisfaction.

Cons: Heavy weight(minor), requires high amp output from power supply. Takes up 2 slots (cooling fan uses up one of my PCI slots or makes it unusable). Had to go to view sonic and download the Un-Signed drivers for my monitor and XP. Had to go to EVGA and get the latest drivers for proper resolution settings.

Other Thoughts: Just got this card along with a Viewsonic N3751W widescreen 37" LCD and it is awesome. Be sure to buy the DVI to HDMI cable for this. True HD graphics. Plays MOH Airborne with NO problems. I'm using an ASUS mother board and AMD 3800+ Dual Core. Totally blows me and my friends away. Great purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card(s)

Pros: Great card, it was easy to install you just had to make sure it was seated correctly. Once that was done I had no errors. I am currently running the latest beta drivers with no problems.

Cons: I wish a card for this price came with a better software bundle.

Other Thoughts: The card cools well but I am running 2 in SLI so I added the optional fan to the side panel of my Antec 900 cases for insurance.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Black Video Bricks

Pros: Nice black metal fan guard for cooling. Fan is a good design that has a high CFM. Backplate is black instead of silver. Card doesn't overheat easily, even in overclocking situations. I have gotten excellent Video scores on 3dmark06 and other video testers.

Cons: These bricks are LARGE and HEAVY. Beware cases that don't have good MB support, strain may occur.

Other Thoughts: I've never held a video card that weighed as much as a brick...until now. I have 2 of these in my new machine and they are quite frankly awesome. They are HUGE, the pictures do not do them justice. They are quite heavy, but they are heavy hitters. In SLI mode, these cards crank it out. I can take any game I play, including the latest Bioshock and crank up the graphics all the way with no problem. They are very quiet and work very well. If you got the cash, these cards will make a great addition to your system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy!

Pros: Very fast card, one of the higher overclocked GTS's. Run quiet and not hot at all under full load I'm getting higher 70's. Running everything maxed out beautifully. Buy this unless you got the fastest processor out, it can take anything any processor can throw at it with ease.

Cons: Not much could use the price to be lower but you get what you pay for, for the most part.

Other Thoughts: Antec p160 case x2 120mm fans an FX-60 and 2 gigs of pc3200.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat videocard...sketchy drivers

Pros: This card is actually a noticeable improvement over my X1900 Crossfire Edition. The specs don't seem too much higher than my old card, but I am happily surprised with the gameplay results. It shows.

It runs cooler and is so quiet compared to the X1900. I think the "armor plate" cooling solution does make a difference. It's actually the reason I bought this version over a regular 8800GTS. Concerned about the heat generation of such a massive card.

I bought this videocard as a compromise between cost versus performance. I know from previous experience that trying to save some money by buying a slightly cheaper videocard would leave me "wanting" with regards to videogame visuals.

I considered the 320mb version of this card, but figured it's better to have more/too much video memory than less.

Cons: It's a great card, but I tried probably ten different series of Nvidia drivers over the last few days. Finally found out that 160.02 Quadro drivers work well with Lost Planet. No more freezing and this is after some intense battles.

Other Thoughts: You'll be happy with the performance boost (if playing with a card with specs similar to an X1900), but be prepared to experiment with different drivers. Oh, my X1900 is the 512mb version, so my next purchase is always has more memory and is more powerful than the previous. (Had a 7800GT CO Edition - 256mb before the X1900.) Otherwise, I'm using it and having much fun with Lost Planet and replaying Doom 3 in ultra.

Yeah, it'll take a "grip" of money from you. But, I'm thoroughly enjoying it which makes it a worthy purchase to me.

3 out of 5 eggsSeems like a waste

Pros: It's fast and I personally like the way it looks more than a regular GTS.

Cons: But it's $30 more for the only perceptible performance increase of 4Mhz on the core clock over the superclocked version.

Other Thoughts: save some money and buy a superclocked version.

5 out of 5 eggsTalonJade

Pros: The thing Screams! It runs everything I can toss at it. (I can toss a lot of things) Its quiet, stays relatively cool, and is factory overclocked.

Cons: DO not give to Axe murderer its dangerous in the wrong hands. Bigger then XBOX.

Other Thoughts: If you wanna save money but keep performance this is your ticket

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 8800GTS

Pros: One of the greatest VGA card on market. Very quiet and fast imagines transfer.

Cons: Big likes a brick. Hot! Needs to install cooling fan otherwise get more fans possible.

Other Thoughts: My 24" Gateway monitor software (EzTune) conflict with Nvidia driver. I have to uninstall EzTune to get Nvidia control panel going.
