5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card For The Price!

Pros: This card is a great choice for games such as Age Of Empires 3. I play all my games at a screen resolution of 1680x1050 and am impressed by the speed at which it runs. I am able to play Flight Simulator X with all the graphics turned up to medium high. Definately worth every penny I put in to it!

Cons: Um...

Other Thoughts: Works great with Windows Vista.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Card

Pros: Solid performer in its class. The prices have dropped a good deal since i have bought the card - but i was happy with it. But....

Cons: ...it wassnt a 8800 GT - and with the prices dropping the way they did, i had to buy one. So - if you want above average performance - you will not be happy.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get to 8053 3dmark score with this card (With a Phenom 9500 getting a cpu score of 3400) What the prices are now (120 or less for these) you cant beat it. But if you really are wanting the next lvl - your going to have to pay a tad more. People who want an upgrade - but dont want to break the bank - not a bad option.

5 out of 5 eggsEggxellent Card

Pros: I got this card to upgrade from on board NVIDIA 6150 SE graphics and man it was huge difference! The card is super quiet also. Now I can run all games maxed out (execept for Crysis) which I can run on medium settings at 1024x768 resolution and it still looks amazing in DX 10. The card is fast (not 8800 fast) but it's fast enough for me. I'm still trying to tweak the settings on Flight Sim X, but I think you need a NASA computer to run that and make it look the way you want it to and get playable frame rates.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Get this card. You won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsRunning SLI'd

Pros: I've got two of these cards SLI'd. The install was easy. Performance with one card was very good but with two it's great. Most games out there won't require more than what this card will deliver.

The card is shorter than the 8800's and makes install a snap in cases where space is an issue.

Using N-tune, this card overclocks to 800mhz without any problems.

Cons: My first card came with a game. The 2nd did not. The price will probably come down on these as the next gen cards come out.

Other Thoughts: Running UT3 at 1650 x 1050 at full detail. Occasionally the framerate drops off a little during intense game play. This could be due to the processor or other system limitation. ETQW and Supreme Commander played great on one card without SLI. Vista Experience Index Score was 5.6 on one card. I OC'd it to 800mhz and the index went up to 5.7.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price vs performance

Pros: Great card for the price, allows for smooth transition to Vista and DX10 games.

Cons: Not in the performance catagory of the 8800 cards. Also outperformed by the better 79xx cards.

Other Thoughts: Any card that out performs this one will most likely be more costly. I performs at least as good framerate wise as the 7800gt I have in a different unit with the same hardware otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA 8600 GTS

Pros: Easy install. Works great. No problems.

Cons: None so far. Don't expect any.

Other Thoughts: Don't ever bother with the drivers that come with any Video Card. Just Download them from the NVIDIA website.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet and Fast.

Pros: Works pretty well in most games. I got two of these in SLI, so right now, I'm always above 60fps or more all the time. No hint of slowdown in HL2, CS:S, Live for Speed. It's awesome. Crysis runs it on med settings at 30-40 fps...very playable.

Cons: I think the 8800GT is my next stop...I'll probably upgrade in the near future for better performance in Crysis and future games like Starcraft 2.

Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, ThermalTake CL-P0401 110mm CPU Fan, 2 x EVGA 8600GTs, 2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800Mhz, XFX 680i LT Motherboard, Apevia 680 Watt PSU, 500GB and 250 GB Western Digital HD

5 out of 5 eggsNASTY VIDEO CARD!

Pros: FEAR looks awesome with this card! Graphics and physics are incredible.

Cons: nothing really. It's not the best graphics card out there, but it's a pretty sweet deal considering it's performance and specifications.

Other Thoughts: I plan on SLI-ing in the future . . .
