Excellent Card
- Pros: This card rocks! Now that it is on sale, it only gets better. Lifetime warranty is sweet. Easy-to-install Bios upgrades and latest drivers from EVGA's web site make this card perform quite well. Idles at 46C. Loaded, it'll hit 65+ C. CoD4 and CS:S frames are through the roof.
Some benchies: 3dmark2k1se 59,446 AquaMark3 189,000 3dmark 2006 14,466
- Cons: You'll need a higher-end box to really lean on this card. The card's heat sink comes covered with a very thin plastic wrapper to prevent scratches. It doesn't look obvious if you don't notice the wrapper, but you should remove this plastic wrapper for better heat dissipation. The instructions/install guide don't mention this.

Blazing card today, solid hardware for years to come
- Pros: I waited a long time for a single-slot GeForce 8 and man was it worth it. As one of the first cards on the market with the cooler and faster G92 core, I'm confident this is going to be the best video card investment I've ever made. Haven't tried Crysis or any synthetic benches yet, but HL2:EP2, FEAR, Oblivion, all run butter smooth on max everything. This card is also a decent factory overclock, its great to see the G92 core is so flexible & powerful.
- Cons: If you can afford it, the 8800GTS 512 (G92) is a faster card, with a better cooling solution(others have reported heating issues with OC'ed 8800GTs such as this). If you need to save $$$ you could buy a 256mb version of this card, as most games today don't even use the full 512(with the exception of super-high res gaming or Crysis period). Not cons but reasons to buy other cards if you have a different budget.
- Other Thoughts: I bought the box with the free Quake Wars game(Model #: 512-P3-N802-A1), the card clocks & specs are identical.

Great card
- Pros: Absolutely a great buy. Very reasonable price when I bought it about 4-5 months ago. Ran all the games I had then perfectly, still runs games that come out today very well. Crysis, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, runs all these games well.
- Cons: Runs a little hot, but has never overheated on me.
- Other Thoughts: Must buy.
Had to RMA, otherwise great
- Pros: Ran BioShock fine with all the settings on high. Promptly received my rebate check ($35).
- Cons: Had to RMA once. RMA process was relatively painless.
NOTE: Make sure you don't send in the rebate form before heavily testing the card. If the card fails, you need the UPC to RMA (at least, that was my understanding).
- Other Thoughts: With my first card, even if I set the fan to 80%-100% speed with Nvidia's utility, their stability test would produce a lot of artifacts and lock up the computer after a couple minutes. Bioshock would lock up after 15 minutes of play, almost at the exact same spot in the game, every single time.
With the new card, I have the fan set to default, and I played all the way through Bioshock with a single hardware glitch.

Amazing Card
- Pros: Single slot design - amazing power for the buck - easy installation - runs alot of game at 1680*1050 @ 60fps and above! (Gears of War, HL2 series, Crysis [at high settings @ 1680*1050 close to 45fps], BioShock)
- Cons: got one too late... there are others out there that easily outperform this one... but the price was right for me.
- Other Thoughts: System - Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Mobo, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (oc'ed to 3.2GHz), Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro HSF, 4GB (4 x 1GB) G.Skill F2-6400CL5D Memory, e-GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB, Antec NeoPower 550w Modular PSU, CoolerMaster RC-690-KKN1-GP Case, Plextor DVD +/- R/RW DL burner
