EVGA Video Care
- Pros: It is an excellent video card that I highly recommend. The graphics are excellent.
- Cons: I had to do a little readjusting to cet it to fit inside the case.
Great card after rebate!
- Pros: G92 core with great overclocking potential; good cooling solution, the fan is VERY silent with the card at stock speeds and can only hear it when it is at 75%+; got about 11000 in 3DMark 06 with the card runing at 650MHz and 850MHz memory... I had an 8600GTS and it wasn't runing Crysis very well with everything on medium (except Shader that was on High), and now I can play it with everything on High without any problems. Also, the price after rebate was great.
- Cons: The memory works at 192 bits, which is a little low these days. Other than that, nothing else.
- Other Thoughts: Some people say the card is very long, but I don't think so. As long as u are not trying to install the card in a microATX case, u should be fine. Also, I got the 768mb ($65 after rebate that came in about a month) version of this card, which in my understanding is only noticeably better at higher resolutions... other than that is basicaly the same card.
NewEgg is great!
System: Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.4GHz; Gygabite GA-EP35-DS3L; Wintech AmpX 2Gb @ 4-4-4-12 memory; 250Gb HD; EVGA 9600GSO 768Mb
The little card that could
- Pros: I absolutely love this card, especially because of the cost after the previous rebate! I have my card running Folding@home 24/7 and it does very well. I've also overclocked it up to 700 core, 1700 shader, and 1000 memory.
The fan in this guy is also very quiet. I run mine at 50% speed all the time and I can barely hear it over my case fans. It does get quite loud once you turn it up to full blast though.
- Cons: None that I can see so far.
