GTX 280 ROCKSSKSKSKSKSKSKKSKSKSKSKSKSSKKSKSSKSKKSSKSK
- Pros: Let me give you a few stats to show you what this baby can do:
Call of Duty: World at War, max detail, 4x AA, 1920x1440.... 90 FPS Left for Dead, x4 AA, x8 AF, 1920x1440, vsync capped at 60, never went below 59 Fallout 3, ultra settings, 1920x1440, vsync capped at 60, didn't go below 59
- Cons: Was difficult to install in my antec 300. 10.6 inches of pure awsome. I had to work it in backwards and then flip it. But that was just a little more work for the grand prize. I was thinking that it would have been much harder, but it wasn't that bad.
- Other Thoughts: My Specs:
E8400 @ 3.6 Ghz 2GB DDR2 800 160 HDD Antec 300 OCZ Sli-Ready 700 W power supply EVGA GTX 280 SSC
Bad choice for the asus crosshair
- Pros: Great card,Great price.
Gets to your door fast.
- Cons: Huge,Power hungry,Will not fit in the crosshair motherboard.
40 amp minimum requirement from the psu!!!
- Other Thoughts: I recently bought this card for a system with the crosshair at the heart of the system. There is a capacitor on the motherboard that keeps the card from seating in the pci-e slot.
If you do plan on getting this card be careful to watch out for this capacitor located to the rear of the slot next to the back of your case.Im sure its possible to physically damage the main board if it was forced into place.
I just didn't feel comfortable with bending the capacitor out of the way so i made a RMA.
(although it fits fine in the crosshair formula mobo.
Lol wut?
- Pros: Runs games great. Fun running Crysis with 60 FPS.
- Cons: It CAN cook my bacon and make my coffee. This thing is H-O-T
