2 out of 5 eggsWorst v card

Pros: When working, I'd get decent fps on most games

Cons: Overheating and faulty memory. It would overheat/shutdown my computer every single day. I thought it was my CPU so I spent over a month waiting for different heatsinks and liquid coolers to arrive. Threw in a old geforce vid card and computer had no problems. As a professional gamer, this card cost me many matches by shutting down my comp and refusing to come back on.

Other Thoughts: Card cost me a lot of frustration.

5 out of 5 eggsEvga GeForce 9800GT

Pros: This GPU has to be one of the best bangs for the buck out there. I ended up getting it for just over $100CAD with the rebates and sale price taken into effect. I currently run Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and my Vista Index score in the GPU section is 5.9 which is the highest possible as of now. I have been able to throw every program I own at it on full settings including Call Of Duty World at War and it has no problems at all. It is a single slot vid card so it doesn't take up extra space like a lot of the other cards on the market right now. Another great add on is the software that it came with. It instantly allows you to overclock your GPU settings and save up to 5 profiles as well. You can change the frequency the shader frequency and the memory as well as the fan/cooler settings. Very easy to use and well laid out program to complement the video card. All in all I would have to give the card a 10/10 for cards in the same price range. Evga has never let me down.

Cons: Can't think of any cons. I have had the card installed for just over 3 months now and have not had a problem yet and I don't anticipate to have one.

Other Thoughts: Awesome product. Evga did it again.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card.

Pros: First time building a computer for myself, and I am not disappointed with this buy. Will run Oblivion and Fallout 3 on the highest setting with 60fps on Oblivion, and 40-60 on Fallout. Good stuff, plan to get another for sli.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsgood stuff

Pros: single slot video card with good speccs. Doesnt take up two expansion slots like the other behemoths like it's kin.

Cons: lengthey, about this long -->| |<-- (note: not to scale)

Other Thoughts: if you are strapped for space and you want room for other expansion cards this is the way to go. again, beware how long this little sucker is though...

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: On paper, the specs for this card look too good to be true. A 9800 GTX+ card that only requires a PCIe 6-pin power connector? When this card works, I'd like to imagine that it performs as advertised.

Cons: The problem is that the card doesn't work. I've experienced the artifacting issue in " Left 4 Dead"that has been discussed in earlier reviews. I'm going to RMA the card and hope the replacement makes the cut.

Other Thoughts: I've had nothing but good experiences with EVGA. (I'm currently running 2x EVGA 8800s) I'm not going to let one bad card ruin a good relationship. On the otherhand, should the second card prove not up to snuff, I'm going to try a ZOTAC.
