Nice card for the money.
- Pros: This is far better then my Laptop graphics. Getting 60fps on most games I play on high settings. WoW, Call of Duty 4, Sins of a Solar Empire. Easy to install and don't need to hook it up to power supply is nice.
- Cons: None as of right now.
- Other Thoughts: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 2.9GHz
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel
BIOSTAR TForce TF720 A2+ AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 720a ATX AMD Motherboard
EVGA 512-P3-N956-TR GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
BFG Tech LS-450 450W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Power Supply
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders - OEM
- Pros: This card is amazing. But anything would be when you do an upgrade from a GForce 6800. This card plows through games like its nothing. Just got Bioshock and was blown away. I can finally play the games that I wanted to years ago, for cheap! Even played some unreal tournament 3 with amazing graphics.
- Cons: None. I knew what this thing could handle when i bought it.
- Other Thoughts: Thinking of buying another just to run in SLI. The price is good enough. Plus I really only play TF2 when it comes to online play, and boy does this card deliver.
- Pros: cheep... not a bad card for someone that needs a replacement for a 8600Gt or older. you'll get about the same performance, and they work fine. run pretty stable even at 61 celcius for long periods of time. the Evga Precision OC program is easy to use (as long as you go to the website and download the newest version... the one on the disk gave me an error saying "no compatible hardware found")
- Cons: pretty bad FPS for me... im getting 14Fps average in FurMark at 1440x900(although i would expect them to perform better in lower rez), and in SLI about 34Fps... plus they dont seem to like more than 2Gb of Ram in SLI mode... they run ok in WoW or something, up untill you pass the 2Gb mark(flying high, veiw distance maxed)... then they crash. plus there not powered, but what do you expect for a budget card with only 32 processors. sure wish i would have had the money to buy 3 dualgoldfinger cards for my M3N-ht deluxe.... so... 3eggs for the Fps, but otherwise i would buy them again if i needed a non, or casual graphics/gaming GPU.
- Other Thoughts: had a heck of a time getting them to work in SLI... had to re-seat them probably 5 times before the second one would even show up in my hardware monitor. maybe its just me but thought i would mention it. my 8600Gt's worked fine on the same board till there goldfingers started to wack out... (screen would flicker with the SLI bridge on, and not when it was off)
