Great product, great price.
- Pros: Plays games I want at a resolution nearly or totally max'ed, using a modest Antec 550 PS.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: WC'ed with MCW 60 and ramsinks. Removal of stock cooler and gpu block installation was a breeze. This makes 4 evga purchases in a row for me, and I have not been disappointed yet.
great
- Pros: Great for Rendering Cuda is supported wellw ith this card I have 12 GB of ram in my core I7 so the 512 is ok I run a 9800 gt 512 lower profile as well.
The stats for this card are fine for rendering but need to get into 100 gb sec cards.
75 gb will do for a bit.
126 processor cores
Works great!
- Cons: Less ram then my 8800 gto
- Other Thoughts: No 8 pin plugin have to use my 2 pci to power it leaving my 2nd and 3rd cards on dongle power losing 2%
Great Card - Especially for the price
- Pros: This card is cheap, fast, and POWERFUL. If you're a dork like me and really appreciate the finer details in games (like the dirty magazines in the bathroom on DOOM 3), and you work 40 hours a week making just enough over minimum wage to say that you don't make minimum wage, then this card is perfect for you. I have yet to play any games that this card won't run full blast with every knob cranked to eleven. I ran a video stress test on Counter Strike: Source, and the FPS rates were in the thousands... before i even ran the overclocking utility included. I doubt there is any reason to spend twice as much or more on a more powerful video card, because this one can handle anything you throw at it (if you do feel the need to compensate more however, this card is SLI capable). 5 eggs, hands down.
Also, included in the packaging are two nifty little EVGA stickers - PC bling.
- Cons: I have an older version of this card - bought it in December 08 - so mine is not as bulky as this one, but it is looong. In my brand new HP, it almost reaches the hard drive harness, so make sure you've got room. Also, she runs pretty hot, so make sure you have decent ventilation and a few fans around to keep the rest of the room cool =P
- Other Thoughts: I built an entire budget rig around this product - A 300 dollar HP Pavillion, 4 gigs of ram, a 2.30 GHz processor overclocked with voodoo cooling and a kilowatt power supply, and of course, this video card. I have thus proven that quality gaming IS possible for less than the cost of a PS3.
