Great Card
- Pros: Fast card, runs extremely quiet. I had just gone from a EVGA 640meg card to this, and I could tell quite a difference in sound level, even with my ear near the case i can't hear the fan going for this video card. It runs cool for a card of this size, and I've had no problems what so ever with it. Clean installation (once i got it to fit in my cooler master mid tower case). Running great on both windows XP as well as Windows 7, and displays excellent on dual monitors (both ACER LCD 23 inch ones, a AL2223W and a X223W).
- Cons: very large, make sure your case can fit this bad boy. I had to pull out all 3 of my hard drives in order to get this thing to fit, and it just had millimeters to spare before it hit the far slot brackets for my hard drives. The hard drives themselves, I had to rearrange in my mid tower case (my case = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119068 )
- Other Thoughts: Be sure you have enough power to run this, it requires both a 8 and a 6 pin connector, it does come with converter cables if need be if you don't have a 8 and a 6 right off of your power supply (i didn't). Lastly, be sure you register with EVGA within the first 30 days of purchase, in order to be eligible for the warrenty.
Very Nice!
- Pros: This video card really works well. It doesn't matter what I do to it, it likes it. I'm not an overclocker but it's there, just click the mouse and it goes. I don't have any tech numbers for you but I love the card and the video it puts out on a 32" monitor. Remember, it's a big card and uses a lot of power. I don't hear the fan, my cpu fan is much louder.
- Cons: Beware, you need a power supply that can use 1x6 pin and 1x8 pin. Sounds simple, I know and there are even adapters but I had to buy a new power supply. I had to put it in the bottom slot of my motherboard, it's a little close in the top slot for my hdd power connectors but I might be able to do it, no desire to try.
- Other Thoughts: Asus Crosshair III Formula
955 AMD quad Corsair XMS3 1600 4gb 2x32gb raptors Kingwin 436 aluminum case Thermaltake 850w Vista 64 Ultimate
Great
- Pros: Fast card. Includes COD 5 (meh...) and when registered with EVGA you can download cyrostasis for free.
- Cons: It can run a little hot after a while
- Other Thoughts: I was planning on buying the gtx 285, but I couldn't justify the price difference. Also, I plan on getting another one of these for dual sli.
