5 out of 5 eggsGreat PCI Nvidia Card

Pros: Handled everything the server would throw at it. A little dated now for CUDA processing. Even tested it on games, ran Left 4 Dead 2 like a champ (Medium Quality).

Cons: Not a con of the card mostly my reading. I did not notice these until later.
1) Will only work with PCI-X (PCI-eXtended not PCI Express [PCI-E or PCIe]) or a PCI 2.0 or higher (266 MHz and higher bus speed).
2) Most likely to accommodate the Low Profile, the DVI port is the only output on Boot.

Other Thoughts: Great Card for the Price.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work with all motherboards. Will BSOD on XP and Windows 7 upon startup due to a possible IRQ conflict, as other users have reported.

EVGA support only issues identical replacements and refuses to give refunds or to give you a different model graphics card.

Other Thoughts: What a waste of my hard-earned money.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Im sorry you have had issues please contact me at srobb@evga.com and I will explore any possible options to assist you with replacement to a working card for your system.

Thank you
Shannon

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small
Ran cool
1GB of memory
HD

Cons: Gave me BSOD even with all the updates I could get for it and bios
I tried this on 2 computers, 1 Asus-A8V as a replacement for the Nvidia 6200, and a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L ran extremely slow on both, and gave the Gigabyte BSOD
Would not run even low graphic intensive game's with out extreme lag

Other Thoughts: Tried on:
Gigabyte EP35-DS3L
Intel P4 3.0GHz OC'd to 3.6GHz
4Gb of Ram at 800Mhz

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So Far it has handled every game I can find and has no difficulty. The advice from others helped me install with no problems, so read the other reviews.

Cons: The biggest con of all is the missing parts that newegg said would be in the box. There was no DVI-VGA converter, no HDTV cable. I was just irritated I had to run to a store to get the DVI converter.

5 out of 5 eggsOverall, a good buy

Pros: This isn't a bad card for the price. Now my old obsolete VAIO can run most every game from 2005 and before on highest settings. It even ran Modern Warfare on its lowest settings. It can overclock stably to 700 Mhz, and rarely goes above 70 degrees even after hours of playing (non-OC'd). I'd say it was a worthwhile upgrade from my old GeForce 6200.

Cons: PCI bus is slow. You get what you pay for though, and I don't really consider that much of a con since I knew what I was paying for.

Other Thoughts: I think I would've been better off getting a similar or better ATI card for my AGP slot. Newegg doesn't seem to have any decent Nvidia cards for AGP 4x though.

Sony VAIO Desktop (PCV-RX860)
3.06 Ghz Pentium 4
1.5 Gb DDR
EVGA GeForce 9400 GT

5 out of 5 eggsNOTICE

Pros: Below

Cons: Below

Other Thoughts: Notice: for the reviews/customers below that said the card does not work, you have to go into the BIOS settings and enable a PCI video card or it will not work.

1 out of 5 eggsEVGA and DELL computers do not play well together

Pros: Not one!

Cons: If you own a dell E310 do not buy this card it does not work. I have had 2 replacements shipped one from New Egg one from EVGA this card will not work with this computer and EVGA will not be able to help.24/7 tech support is great, but if the thing worked you wouldn't need it.This miserable excuse for a video card has cost me twenty dollars in return postage not counting the original postage, and in case you are wondering my power supply is brand new and well above specs. This is the first EVGA product I have ever purchased and it will be the last! If you own a DELL computer period I would move on, buy another card. Anything but EVGA trust me.

Other Thoughts: The only plus is, I have one cool looking, very expensive paper weight.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Card!!

Pros: NEWEGG ROCKS!! Relatively inexpensive, very easy to install and can display great vid quality on my Acer H233H. Not a con but I had to purchase a new psu for an older HP machine so watch the power requirements on the +12v rail closely. Fast shipping from Newegg, as always.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This card was purchased for an older (2002) HP pc and it performed flawlessly in that mach, I then moved it to a new build and it is still going strong. It has limits but if you work within them the card does it's job very well.

5 out of 5 eggsseems great

Pros: Seems fantastic so far....Was quick and easy to install (I sat on my bum while my brother installed it)... I use win7 and its fine.

Cons: ..am seeing some slow FPS at times on some programs but its only sporadic and I think its just some settings I need to adjust. all my games and programs seem to load twice as fast as my geforce 7300 did.

5 out of 5 eggsbrainless need not apply

Pros: flawless! very nice card, especially for the price. not one single problem installing on a DELL Dimension 2600 with a 200w power supply (below requirements) with not a single hitch. RECOMMENDED

Cons: none. but note* using the straight vga connector on the card as the main/only monitor will result in a blank screen until windows login screen appears. DVI port is the main port and only one to be used if only running one monitor.

Other Thoughts: all these reports of not booting right and seeing either a blank screen or a blue screen until windows actually starts are 100% user error. this card is designed for 2 monitors and the designated monitor 1 is the DVI port, not the dsub (vga). use the dvi to vga adapter provided or just the DVI connector and this card WILL BOOT PERFECT every time. grant it that a handfull of people don't realize its requirements (not posted) say a 300w power name brand power supply (on boxes lable). but i run a 200w (OE) power supply in my DELL with not even the slightest problem under the highest load. Win XP and MCE x86, Vista x86, Server 2003/2008 x86/x64, Win7 x86/x64 tested.
