5 out of 5 eggsStill chewing bubble gum and taking names

Pros: Bought this 4 years ago and still playing all the AAA Game titles released this year! Does good with physX enabled titles to boot.

Cons: If you smell something burning, that's just the hair on my toe's.... ie: it can get warm. I didn't really notice it till last year when I bought a second one off that "Craig" fella to SLI them (I like all my graphic settings MAXed out because I'm a PC guy). Winter time it was nice in here, but it's starting to get a little to warm in my room so I knocked the A/C down 2 notches and all is good again.

Other Thoughts: I have a 850watt PS from 2008 that powers these babies with no hiccups what-so-ever (CoolerMaster Pro) but it looks like I'll be going the 8800 route this Christmas just because the newer games are requiring more memory, and some of todays games are VERY poorly optimized (looking at you WD). There better be 4GBs RAM on these 8800's or I'll be going to the dark side because of it.

4 out of 5 eggsloud fan, but cool

Pros: Had for over 3 years now and still running like a champ.

Cons: Lost an egg because the fan gets REALLY loud during some games when the fan kicks in. Rather have it loud and cool than quiet and hot

5 out of 5 eggsGreat and reliable Card

Pros: Ive had it for almost 3 years now and no issues at all. Invested well at the beginning and it looks like I won't have to upgrade any soon. After 3 years still keeps up with all new video games, and most of them on ultra settings.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsmy rating: avoid this card

Pros: Was fast for it's time and when it ran, it ran well

Cons: unreliable, artifacts, runs too hot, consumes too much power

Other Thoughts: I went thru THREE of these under warranty with EVGA. (GREAT COMPANY - EVGA took care of me under warranty). Finally, they shipped me a GTX 660 instead.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked fine for a while.

Cons: Nvidia recently updated the drivers to my 470 card. Shortly thereafter I started having troubles with it. Got blue screen of death over and over. Tried about everything to fix it, but the card was already broken, likely from overheating, caused by the Nvidia driver. I will never buy another Nvidia card ever again. Breaking because of an 'update' is completely and totally unacceptable. No one should have to deal with this level of complete and total nonsense. I'd use much harsher language but newegg has guidelines for this sort of thing.

3 out of 5 eggsSigh

Pros: Great when they worked

Cons: First one died due to overheating. There is nothing fancy or wrong or dirty or mistreated about my setup. Huge full sized case with plenty of air flow in the right places. Card would over heat and crash. I have two of these. First one went few months ago. Just shrugged it off. Now the second one is starting to do the same thing. I'm not one for writing reviews, especially bad reviews, but this is either really bad luck, or unacceptable sigh. Sent EVGA an email. We'll see how they respond.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud.

Pros: Good value at this point. Probably one of the best performance/price cards out there.

Cons: Loud. And I mean obscenely loud. This product should never have been released with such awful cooling. 90c under load and it gets louder than my window air conditioner. If you care about noise, avoid this card altogether or get an aftermarket cooler for it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, loud fan

Pros: -Good card, is keeping up with the latest games even in 2013.
-Shroud is nice looking

Cons: -Very loud fan, especially when under load!!!
-Nvidia drivers suck.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card overall aside from the fact that the fan boosts the overall dBA of my computer. Even just simple web browsing will boost the fan.

Other than that, it plays Far Cry 3 on ultra settings with AA turned off as well as a few other new, major titles. Some settings will have to be turned down as this is a dated card in 2013.

The reason I'm disgruntled with Nvidia's drivers is because I'm constantly having driver crashes, drivers are not being correctly optimized for games, etc.

I've been a Radeon person since I had an ATI Radeon 7500 back in the day and figured I'd give Nvidia a try. Don't think I'll be using Nvidia again for the simple fact that their drivers aren't treating me well.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a single issue

Pros: I've had this card since 2010 and I've yet to have a single issue with it. I've played Skyrim, Crysis 2, Dishonored, Planetside 2, and a dozen other games maxed out and haven't dropped below 50fps.

Cons: Without EVGA precision, or some other fan controller, it can run pretty hot. Gets loud when the fan kicks on, too, but nothing too bad.

4 out of 5 eggsA good card

Pros: For a dated card this thing runs like a beast. Short of the newest games I can usually run things at or very near the highest settings with good framerates.

Cons: The fan on this thing is LOUD. It sounds like my tower is trying to start ingnition and take off sometimes.

Other Thoughts: Keeping my computer in a smallish room means in the colder months I don't need to turn the heat up so much!
