1 out of 5 eggsWorks for a year

Pros: Worked well in the comp I built for one year.

Cons: The GPU now causes computer crashes when I use it to play games that are older than it is.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing card. I upgraded from an 8800GT. Runs super cool and with no problems for the first 11 months.

Cons: Card died literally 9 days after my 1 yr warranty went up. I see it happening in other reviews too but if I had just registered my card with EVGA(2yr warranty) they would've replaced it no problem.

3 out of 5 eggsBeware of rebates!!!

Pros: Great card, especially in SLI -- when the card works properly.

Cons: BEWARE OF REBATES WITH EVGA! I bought two of these because of the rebate almost 6 months ago, and I still haven't gotten a rebate on the cards. EVGA is playing some kind of waiting game, hoping my interest in the money ($50) will just fold up and go away. I called Newegg to straighten the situation out and still nothing. This makes them worse than XFX; at least XFX fights you until you provide copies of everything; EVGA has all the proof, and still refuses to send rebates.

Other Thoughts: I'm mad as hell. One of the cards I bought had something wrong, and I sent it back. EVGA tells you that a replacement will be sent out in at most two business days -- Not! It took almost two weeks to get a stinking replacement. A friend of mine bought his on my recommendation, and his messed up also. It was very difficult to diagnose because he had a completely new system. Oh well. Newegg's got low shipping fees at least.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, Great service

Pros: This card met my needs for a quiet card with a size that would fit my motherboard. I am very pleased with its price and performance.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this card on a Sunday afternoon, received it on Thursday, (thanks Newegg) installed it on Saturday and on Sunday I filled out the rebate stuff on the EVGA site. I mailed my rebate claim on Monday and on Friday I received my rebate card. I was very surprised at the speed and efficiency EVGA showed in getting the rebate out so quick. they deserve a Kudos for that performance.

1 out of 5 eggs6 months

Pros: Good card. Kept stable temperatures, and ran exactly as I expected for a GTX 460. Also EVGA RMA dept is decent.

Cons: Card started exhibiting video corruption after 6 months. Went through RMA process to get replacement card. Replacement card caused hard crashes requiring hard reset every 5 minutes. Probably damaged during shipping. Now I have to RMA my RMA-replaced card, and pay for shipping *again* to get it replaced

Other Thoughts: I have always liked EVGA, and I'm not going to change my future opinion of them too much based on one bad experience (I did appreciate the efficiency of the RMA dept). But it is ridiculous to get a replacement card that is effectively DOA, and then have to pay for shipping to send it back.

So while I tend to like EVGA, I have to give this card 1-egg because it's reliability is terrible.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Slim and sleek design. Win 7 64bit rates it a 7.4 out of 7.9

Cons: Power supply must have two 6pin connectors. 2-year warrantee.

Other Thoughts: EVGA is one of my favorite companies for video cards. I've alway used their cards for gaming PCs and my customers say they love playing games on their computers.

The EVGA 9800GTX plus I bought two years ago had a lifetime warrantee and was $50 cheaper. Not sure why this card has a two year warrantee.

1 out of 5 eggsCompatability issues??

Pros: I bought a brand new system after being so upset by this. Both new video cards were Radeon HD 6970's btw. They seem to handle Mass Effect 2 and ANYTHING ELSE very well. I think I'll keep the EVGA's however for a windows server unit. They shouldn't have any problems running a GUI.

Cons: 1 card was DOA, had to troubleshoot to find out which one was bad. (Awful experience) Purchased 2 for an SLI config. One being bad set me back 2 weeks of it getting RMA'd. EVGA was cool about it. However if you read the fine print on the website, they take from their RMA stock and send you a refurbished one back. Or on occasion one that's better. I got the same back, however after putting it in my machine which is a EVGA motherboard, I still had all kinds of craziness happening. I left one day for 2 hours to find my monitor completely off when I came back--and no it wasn't the screen-saver. When I would play certain games like Mass Effect 2 the whole system would just go crazy. I decided to put in my old Radeon card. No problems other than being slow with less detail. 2 460's in SLI should eat that game alive...really? I don't get it, so I write EVGA and ask if they have a buy up program and see if I can just trade in and pay the difference. I get a "No, sorry for the inconvenience."

Other Thoughts: I'm sure many companies take from their RMA stock of refurbished items to send back to customers I just don't like the thought of buying something brand new to be replaced with something that was already RMA'd.

- Never overheats
- Easy overclock software

Other Thoughts: EVGA is a great company to buy from, they go the extra mile to make life easier for their customers. Good job guys :D

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable - Unspectacular

Pros: Moderate price.

Cons: My newly built system exhibited classic memory / graphics memory problems from the start. Dropped back on memory speed and processor speed. Replaced all 8GB of ram. Tested and burned in. Tested and burned in.

I suspected the graphics card all along but went through the standard checklist associated with system debugging.

Well, it was the graphics card all along. I have no experience returning items and hear nothing but horror stories in dealing with manufacturers, so this card will simply go in the trash as soon as a replacement arrives.

When it was working, there was nothing compelling about its performance. I write graphics software, BTW.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Please contact us directly at 888-880-3842, we have an excellent support staff who will resolve your issue immediately.

Thanks,
Jacob
