4 out of 5 eggsgood card for the price

Pros: this was a great card , i had bought at a local retailer and installed in my sons dell xps , with some gskill 8g mem. cards . this thing handled Diablo3 and WOW with no problems and had a better framerate in highly populated areas than my gtx550ti in the exact same computer .

Cons: none really it lasted until i sold computer and still runs great .

1 out of 5 eggsDude... Suck!

Pros: Its cheap. Can run dual monitors and most games on decent settings.

Cons: Had terrible system instability, and horizontal red lines on my monitors. Thought it was a driver issue, but it turned out to be this card. Hate to give a bad review but I'm frustrated with this card. Spend the money and go with a higher end card.

Other Thoughts: Maybe if I got a good unit it would be a good card but....

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize if your system is unstable with the card. Please contact our 24/7 technical support so we can help you with troubleshooting or to setup a replacement (888)-881-3842

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card on a true budget

Pros: So I read all the time about people buying $150+ gpus and saying GREAT card on a budget. Im thinking to myself in this economy who has 150$ laying around when your video card dies to just throw away. Heck it takes that any more to fill up on gas week. If you are truly in a pinch and need a good video card that can do anything from running 2 monitors, streaming TV/movies/dramas/sports online, to game play this is a great card for you.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I went from an ATI card to this one and the biggest think I liked was not having to deal with ATI's CCC. This interface is so easy to use and it remembers settings which the CCC never did.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy PEEZY

Pros: Had two ATI cards in my system running three monitors. These have worked just great for a few years now. Started to get some video mem errors win windows 7 while just running a web video. (Figure it is either a card or AMD drivers)

Found these card would fit what I was looking for, wanted multi monitor capability and somthing can run an ocassional video game here and there. I am not a hard core PC gamer, so these cards are working well for me.

Found removing old one and installin these were very easy when loading the drivers and EVGA had updated driver that were easy to find and download.

Cons: None So far!!!

5 out of 5 eggsActually a very good card!

Pros: I picked this card up from a local retailer on a whim and, surprisingly, this card games well! I specifically picked it up to upgrade from my motherboard's integrated graphics so I could play Diablo 3. I'm running D3 at 1920x1080 at max settings and I'm getting decent framerates! It's definitely very, very playable!

So kudos to EVGA and nvidia for a very good, affordable, entry-level video card.

Cons: I don't have anything bad to say about this card. However, just wanted to throw out that you can't run these in SLI, but if you are that hardcore of a gamer, you already know this. ;)

Other Thoughts: You won't have buyer's remorse. It's a HUGE upgrade from integrated graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card bad reviewer

Pros: i write this in response to someone who trashed this card and didn't have the courage to ID himself in any way. i don't need to do this because the manufacturer politely smacked him down. i have no need to be polite here. i am sick of kids experimenting on mom's computer with their allowance money and trashing a top shelf company like EVGA through pure ignorance. here is a kid who gave a 3 egg rating because he didn't know that ddr stands for double data rate or what it actually meant. he also believed he was knowledgeable enough to out guess EVGA as to the size fan required for the performance envelope of this cards design. he topped off his ignorance with arrogance believing he was in a position to warn off gamers "this card will not play today's games at decent frame rates".... oh really the 520 can't play mass effect 3 i'm shocked!!!!!

Cons: i like that newegg allows customers a chance to speak their minds about product they have purchased and had time to get to know something about them. i think that newegg owes it the customers and their suppliers to filter reviews that are obvious garbage. it will save us time looking for helpful reviews and end the need for companies that work hard to supply quality parts for all uses the need to respond to ignorant users

3 out of 5 eggsGood Cheap Everyday Card

Pros: This Card helped me get a use of my computer when my older card decided to die out 1 month after warranty. It is priced at what it should do. It makes a fast responsive system at a great price. Here and there a little simple gaming is fine. I absolutely love how quiet this card is under load. My older card would be louder than all my case fans and this one is just fine.

Cons: What really had me getting angry was the memory rating. It said 1000mhz on the box, but in the EVGA Provided GPU monitoring software it said it was only running at 500mhz. Also the cooling looks horrible. It has a heat-sink over the GPU Core and a tiny maybe 20mm fan over it. I can power up the fan all the way and it does next to nothing in terms of cooling.

Other Thoughts: The Card can be used for simpler games, but nothing special. DO NOT expect this to play any of the newer games at playable Framerates,

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize for any confusion as the 520 is not designed for gaming, it is intended to be used for a home theatre PC or for use in a dual monitor setup. If you are looking for a gaming card I would recommend a 550 or higher. In terms of the memory speed it is DDR or double data rate memory. The effective memory speed is correct at 500MHzx2 for an effective speed of 1000MHz. If you have any questions on which cards would be best suited for your gaming needs please feel free to call our 24/7 pre-sales (888)-881-3842
