4 out of 5 eggsNot recommended for Win 7

Pros: Well it's neat they still make these for older computers without a AGP or PCI-E Well im sure for Win Xp or Vista it would be fine, But i was disappointed because it can't keep up with video playback or anything on windows 7.

Cons: Wei score 2.1, 3.1 For Win 7

Other Thoughts: I only Recommend this card for XP, or Vista, If you need a pci card for Win 7 Get the 8400gs, Or the 210, Or radeon 5450, Just bought a 8400gs and that can handle windows 7 just fine, The wei on that is 3.0, 3.1

5 out of 5 eggsUpgrading Works!!

Pros: It's an EVGA! This makes a difference. Old systems running XP can be upgraded with parts like this and keeps on ticking. Now my pc with a celeron 2.8 is running video like never before.

Cons: You'll need to search for an updated version of drives to get the max out of the Direct X.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for an old PC

Pros: PCI bus for old PC's without a AGP or PCI-Express slot.
Refurbished by the original manufacturer, EVGA, with a warrantee.
It came in a sealed EVGA logo box in a padded antistatic bag.

Cons: Did not come with a software install CD or instructions.
Typical slow PCI graphic card limits.

Other Thoughts: On old Dell Dimension E310, got Vista-32 WEI of 2.0 & 2.7 and it also freed up some memory (4.6 to 4.8).
Pretested on a newer ECS P45T-A motherboard with Windows-7-32bit, displayed ok & played movies, but always crashed during WEI to a blue screen & power down.

Pros: It fits the tower.

Cons: Stops working...screen freezes and monitor goes blank. Not the tower but the card. Junk.

1 out of 5 eggsNot useful

Pros: Reasonable price for a GeForce PCI card

Cons: While this card works in text mode, attempting to run in graphical mode creates scrambled screens.

Other Thoughts: It would seem the refirb testing process only tested these cards to make sure they made it through POST

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: Perfect video card for those older computers with PCI slot.
Works beautifully
Brings life back to older computers

Cons: None that I can find thus far

Other Thoughts: I used this card to update a Dell Dimension 1100. I upgraded the Dimension with max 2G RAM, Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz processor, and this video card. I then installed Windows 7 Pro on the machine and it works perfectly without any problems, just disabled the onboard graphics chipset.

4 out of 5 eggsA Small Challenge

Pros: Took the pressure off the Intel Celeron processor - now able to watch video full screen. Frameloss/audio sync is minimal. Just what I expected. Glad to have made the purchase. Nice suite of nVidia tweaks after loading the drivers. Windows XP Machine. Dell B210. 2gb ram maxed out. Still not enough processor to use the HD Homerun to view HD channels though.

Cons: Challenging to find the correct driver. No instructions. Tinkered around a bit, and connected the monitor to the card's VGA instead of the computer's integrated VGA. Then the card and driver package were recognized. Was a little worried I had bought a boat anchor.

Other Thoughts: An inexpensive card for older PCI slot machines. Worth the money as long as you know what to expect.

5 out of 5 eggsSocket 478 build

Pros: Home build, fit my Gigabyte/ Intel mobo GA-8IG1000MK PCI slot perfectly, recognized on 1st boot. It's a Nvidia need I say anymore! Nice graphics/ video upgrade from the onboard Intel video card, DVI is a must for me. Downloaded Windows XP certified driver from Evga website without any issues. The price!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Package arrived on schedule and in good condition. No driver software or documentation included but this is all available at the Evga website. If need be as I did you can easily attach a fan to the heat sink for additional cooling.
