Built from the same DNA as its bigger brothers, GTX 680, the GeForce GTX 670 brings the performance and features of 28nm Kepler architecture to a more affordable price point. The GTX 670 comes with 1344 CUDA cores and a base clock of 915 MHz, slightly lower than the GTX 680, but is essentially identical in all other aspects. It provides a great upgrade compared to its predecessor, GTX 570 with average 41% performance increase and runs over 50% faster in many demanding DirectX 11 games, while remaining extremely power efficient at 175w TDP with 28nm process. The breakthrough NVIDIA GPU Boost technology pushes the performance to the limit by intelligently increasing clock speed based on actual work load. An array of NVIDIA exclusive technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync for stuttering- and tearing-free gaming, NVIDIA Surround with up to four monitors, two new Anti-aliasing modes of FXAA and TXAA, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready, and NVIDIA PhysX Technology works in concert to ensure you get the most immersive and impressive gaming experience.

The EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 670 is factory overclocked to 967MHz to pump out more power from the Kepler architecture. The included EVGA Precision X-, designed from the ground up to support new GPU, redefines what overclocking software should be with easy and precise tuning for GPU Clock speed, GPU Voltage, Memory Clock speed and Fan speed.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card! Wish it weren't discontinued

Pros: Very fast, reliable card. I can max out all my games with no problem. The overclocking is great, gets kinda around 72 degrees C if I push the settings high.

Cons: This card is now discontinued, and I was looking forward to purchasing another 2gb for SLI.

Other Thoughts: None, just wish It weren't discontinued is all!

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Works like a champ, handles most stuff on high. Can overclock to match a 680.

Cons: Exhaust port on back gets hot (can throw off some heat sensors).

Other Thoughts: I got this as the 680 was a little out of reach for me. Figured I could always add another for SLI down the line.

It's a good card. Consider the FTW edition as the warranty is less restrictive on overclocking in those.

EVGA was very helpful and their service is great.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money

Pros: High resolution gaming without any problems! Running 1920x1080 never drop below 60FPS in games such as BF3 or Diablo3
If you are looking for a high quality gaming card without the 680 price tag you found your card.

Cons: No issues as of yet have had the card for several months.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't call this card "cheap" but is much more affordable then its counterparts.

3 out of 5 eggsHigh failure rate...

Pros: -Benchmarked just a hair under a stock GTX 680 on tomshardware.com.
-Factory overclocked with included monitoring/overclocking software.
-Ran through everything I could throw at it.
-EVGA has an excellent RMA process (see cons).
-Outstanding tech support team.
-Best looking case badge I've seen in while!

Cons: After the first day, had hard lock-ups to a red screen on a new build, regardless of driver version (machine ran fine with card removed). Higher end games would artifact/crash/flash black screen when accessing higher amounts of video memory. Lower end games would often hang. Most third-party monitoring software would fail and cause a driver crash.

Other Thoughts: As of this review, this card appears to have been discontinued for having such a high failure rate, as it's no longer listed in EVGA's product line-up. EVGA tech support was quick to blame the card when presented with the problems listed above, and offered an upgraded RMA option while still paying for shipping both ways. They answered any questions within 24 hours, excluding weekends/holidays. The ones I spoke to over the phone were based in California, for those who care what country tech support lives in.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you had issues with the card. If your RMA has not already been setup please contact our 24/7 technical support or me directly, Matth@evga.com

4 out of 5 eggsGood GPU!

Pros: Ran everything like a knife through butter @ highest settings 1920x1080 with 4xAA. Runs most games smoothly on highest settings with 3D Vision enabled.

Cons: Started crashing out of games after about a week of having it. Then began to get blue artifacts during simple browsing on my computer.

Other Thoughts: Will be RMAing soon seeing as a lot of people have had this problem. Looks as though EVGA is taking good care of their customers.

2 out of 5 eggsPerformance not as expected

Pros: It is somewhat stable.

Cons: Somewhat unsatisfied. Crashes a bit in every game I play. Not to mention even when it is working correctly, performance is not what it should be at. RMA'd.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

If you have not already been assisted with an RMA please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842 or email me directly, Matth@evga.com

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: My card works great.

Cons: I have not experienced any problems with this card.

Other Thoughts: I wrote this review primarily to offset the idiotic bad reviews. Per EVGA's support forum posting: if you received a card from the bad batch, they will replace it with 670 F'T'W (about $20 bucks more expensive). Its dishonest to say this card sucks just because you got a defective one, especially if they're willing to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsFast!

Pros: OC up to 1240mhz/7200mhz. BF3 maxed 50 - 80 fps. Temp at 1200/7000 at 69c with fan matching temp.

Cons: Kinda expensive but worth it!

Other Thoughts: Replaced xfire HD 5850 and runs much smoother. P9500 with 3dmark11 at oc settings and i5 2500 at 4.8ghz.
