The EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST graphics card is designed for gaming. It comes with GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost which is an improved version of GTX 650 Ti equipped with a faster memory interface and GPU Boost technology. The GPU boost technology which is not included on the reference GTX 650 Ti GPU offers extra performance on tap. The faster 192-bit GDDR5 interface provides a much needed performance boost to the GPU.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

3 out of 5 eggsModerate Card for a Moderate Build

Pros: The card runs fantastically without any modifications, before it hit's 70 degrees Celsius. After fixing the issue I'll mention in the Cons, it runs amazingly until it hits about 80-90 Celsius (Which is dangerous for any card).

Cons: By default, only the actual GPU is shipped with thermal paste. All other ICs and memory chips touching the heatsink use thermal tape. A very poor design flaw that can be quickly fixed by removing the tape strips and applying thermal paste. I got my average temps under 75% load from 80+C to under 65C.

Other Thoughts: This card is not going to run many games at Ultra/Max graphics (or even High for that matter) fresh out of the box. You might have to do some modifications to it, such as adding an aftermarket heatsink. My card gets warm running just about any game at Medium graphical settings, and I just don't even bother trying my luck going any higher. But hey, that may just be me.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card that meets quality with budget.

Pros: +Super fast card with high performance.
+Fits in my mid tower (seriously, it's huge).
+Software is slick and easy to use.
+Updates are frequent.

Cons: -Fan is extra loud when running games at max settings.
-Card does in fact get very hot (and emits hot air from exhaust fans). Moderate to moderate high cooling recommended.
-After owning this card now for almost a year, it now idles at a higher fan setting than before, and I'm not entirely sure why.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, I don't think I could have picked a better card that stays in the affordable range while giving me the performance I need to stream my games online WHILE playing at max settings. It's a very nice card. I still don't understand why the fan is idling louder than it has before, but I assume it's with age? This is under minimal load, as well.

4 out of 5 eggsGood to Go

Pros: Great card at a good price.

Cons: Not as overclockable as it could be. It doesn't even get warm.

Other Thoughts: I will not be buying anymore EVGA products due to poor customer service on another of their video cards.

2 out of 5 eggsIts Hot.

Pros: I own two cards running in a nice SLI setup. Its nice slick borders of the GPU is so stylish and clean, metal grey finish and the title “boost” to make it even more awesome. Even at 74% fan speed, it’s quiet enough to not get in the way of my live Skype chats nor is a bother when I watch very short videos on YouTube. Sexy looking card.

Cons: I own two of these in SLI with an EVGA Z68 SLI Micro Motherboard and it OVERHEATS excessively within 10 min of a game such as Metro Last Light or Bioshock Infinite. My desktop is a custom built with the NZXT Vulcan with plenty of airflow. Even running the EVGA Precision to max out the fans at 74% speed, it’s not enough to keep the cards cool under an NVidia labeled game. Of course there are problems with other games of a similar nature. All it has ever done when I want to game, is overheat and reboot. Now since I can’t afford a different card, I sadly have to game on my laptop. Do more research on your GPUs before you buy anything.

Other Thoughts: It might of been better to just buy a single GTX 700 series GPU. Already a headache to try out two cards in SLI no matter how easy it is or may be.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: Plays everything I throw at it on ultra
Is very quiet and still working after 4 months of almost constant gaming.
Comes with a case badge, which I like.
The value! I thought i was going to have to pay $400+ to get a card like this!

Cons: It doesn't spit money at me so I can buy more of them.

Other Thoughts: My wife and I bought two of these so we could built a PC for each of us. We have had no problem playing any game we've tried to play on ultra. We do a lot of gaming. I would recommend this to anybody.
