5 out of 5 eggsRunning Strong For 1 Year+

Pros: -Super powerful, runs the majority of my games at max settings.
-I am able to run triple monitors without slowdown (2 1080p, one 1440p)

I was able to get a 15898 running 2 of these GPU's in SLI on Firestrike. On Firestrike extreme I got 8700.

On one GPU I got 10,012 on Firestrike. My CPu is an i7 4770k clocked at 4.0Ghz.

This card was so powerful that I had to upgrade to a 2560x1440 monitor just to be able to meet its power.

I am able to play Skyrim with intense graphics mods as well as other demanding games such as Metro: LL, and Borderlands 2 with PhysX at max.

If you want to be able to max out all your games at 1080p, getting one of these GPU's will achieve that with no problem.

Cons: The price isn't really cost efficient. Better bang for you buck cards would be the GTX 770 or the GTx 660.

I had to shell out another $300 just to get the 1440p monitor since I couldn't maximize my GPU's potential with a 1080p monitor.

Other Thoughts: My Computer Specs.

16GB 1600Mhz RAM (8x2)
Intel i7 4770k at 4.0GHz
2x EVGA ACX Cooler Superlocked GTX 780s in SLI
240GB m500 Crucial SSD
500 GB Samsung 840 SSD
1 TB WD Black HDD
500 GB WD Blue HDD

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Everything

Cons: Instructions are generic and don't specify PCIE power connectors required. You need 1x 8 pin and 1x 6 pin.
The instructions say "May require one or more 6 or 8 pin."

5 out of 5 eggsGaming Beastmode

Pros: Runs quiet, runs fast, treats ultra-high graphic settings as if they were a joke to handle. The sheer power of this thing is ridiculous.

Cons: I've yet to find a single problem with this monster.

Other Thoughts: The price was comparable to one of the next-gen consoles all by itself. After using it, I can't say there was even an ounce of buyer's remorse.

5 out of 5 eggsHit my sweet spot

Pros: Sits perfectly in the best price/performance vs temperature/noise balance slot (within the high end range). The numbers do not lie, and neither does its top performance in all of those categories.

Comparable performance to Titan while maintaining sub-70c temps and sub 50db noise? Psh...done. This old man was never expecting to get such performance without having to get a screaming heat beast of a card (sorry R9 290 owners, maybe next time AMD)

Cons: I'm struggling to find any.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the card you're looking for

Pros: If you've got the money, this is exactly what you want. Seriously, this card hasn't ceased to amaze me with its performance. It hasn't stuttered once. It hasn't had issues with max settings on EVERYTHING. I'm running Skyrim with max settings, 96 mods at once, and the majority of those making the graphics extreme HD. Stays nice and cool. Best investment ever.

Cons: Nothing. It's worth it's price.

2 out of 5 eggsmine blew up

Pros: it is a very pretty card. it didn't destroy anything else when it went.

Cons: ummm... it blew up 9 months in? i'm not like i'm using cheap components. my PSU is EVGA's top of the line Supernova 1000 Watt Platinum. and my computer sits behind an expensive APC Smart UPS. which is a server grade unit, not the cheap junk you pick up for a few bucks at your local "office" store.

as i was working on a document, i heard a popping noise and the computer immediately shut itself off. i smelt something electronic burning. looked inside and noticed that smell is coming from the GPU and nowhere else. tried turning it on again, everything spins up but no video. popped in a workstation GPU i had laying around, an nVidia K2000, and it fired right up.

Other Thoughts: i bought this thing to play BF4 back on November 1, 2013. i never got around to play a single video game on it. not even once. just had no time. never messed with clock speeds or voltage. the card literally did nothing for 9 months.

all i did with it this entire time was web browsing, watched some videos, and fixed up some spreadsheets. that's it...

RMA is pain in the rear! before having you RMA approved you MUST talk to their dumb tech support who make you do the dumbest things to "test" things. the computer works with a different card but it doesn't work with this one. plus it smells like it is burnt. what else do you need to know?!?

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 8 months of use

Pros: Its as fast as they claim. But it ends there. Also the colors seem a little washed out compared to my PNY 580ti.

Cons: I noticed the first day that my rig was running hot after installing. I am running 5 case fans and it was still hot to the touch.

Other Thoughts: I have always had great luck with PNY. My 580ti is still running strong. The quality of EVGA seems under par. I would recommend that you spend your hard earn money only another manufacture.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Carl S.,

I am very sorry to hear that you had a problem with your product after 8 months of use. I can confirm that if the colors were washed out then it would be recommended to check your color settings on the monitor and then the settings in your drivers. Please understand that there are many possible causes for a failure and we are here to help as you do have a 3 year warranty on this product. Please call our 24 hour technical support at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at Newegg@evga.com for assistance.

Sincerely,
EVGA Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsWorking great and fast

Pros: This has all the ports I need to run my 3 monitors including a cheap controller-less QEMU 2560x1440 and a 30" dell 2560x1600.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My games are running great. Although I don't play many games that would tax this card, Wolfenstein: New Order hasn't stuttered or slowed down that I can remember having played through it twice.

4 out of 5 eggsA comparison to the GTX480 and GTX560 series

Pros: I am a previous owner of GTX480 and 560 series graphics cards. I've decided to invest and up the anty to this GTX780 graphics card by EVGA. Quite remarkable in terms of speed, silence, and temperature control. The temperature of my CPU is more than 20 celsius less now compared to my GTX480 and about 5~10 in comparison to the GTX560. I've executed and played every game I own on ultra settings ever since buying this, even modding my games to go beyond what the game could offer in terms of graphics. This card has alse forced lag to become near non-existent in realtime environment games and I have not had any hiccups with any officially published games on any graphical setting. On a Windows OS, the drivers were automatically found by Windows Updated and installed promptly. This graphics card does support NVIDIA shadow play from the get go as of 08/08/14.

Cons: I am not overclocking this card passed what the manufactures have set it at, but EVGA Precision is a program I do use for temperature monitoring and fan speed control. I am able to hear the GTX780 work when it's running at full throttle. Even making small but noticeable ticking sounds. This is mentioned as a con, because those looking for a silent graphics card may search elsewhere if it will be used to it's limit.

Other Thoughts: Rounding this card up to a 4/5 from a 7/10 value. New Egg did a great shipping card arriving on time and the customer support from Nvidia was insightful and helpful (Thank you, Arun!). Overall a fairly pricey card in this time of age, and with one game I wish to frequent now still crashing, I am wondering what the cause of it could be. If you plan on playing intensive games, or perhaps doing graphical rendering the requires a good GPU, I've highly recommend this card and the GTX780 series in general. Even when maxed out, I have yet to have it go above 70 Celsius internally, and it idles around 30 Celsius in a house that's in the middle of a desert.

3 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card - But it broke...

Pros: -Ran EVERYTHING I threw at it at the highest settings. At least 60 FPS on eveything
-ACX Cooler kept it at reasonable temps

Cons: -On day 7 of owning it, I started getting Kernel Errors and deduced that the card was the issue

Other Thoughts: -I've already filed for a replacement with Newegg, and hopefully the replacement lasts longer, I love this card!
