Darn
- Pros: Well shazbot, looks like I posted the last review on the wrong product. I meant to put it on the 3870. My bad =/
Not sure how to have a review removed.
- Cons: Whoops.
- Other Thoughts: Gotta pay more attention.
Great Card and Cheap too
- Pros: Got this card for myself as a little christmas present last year. Got two, actually. Running them in Crossfire, and for the minor price, it's a great deal and they scale pretty well in CF.
I hate using this as a benchmark, but it's practically the industry standard now: I can run Crysis at Max detail at 1280x1024 without AA at around 30fps, if I remember correctly. Handles Oblivion very well, around 60fps constantly with everything maxed out and several texture enhancement packs applied. Fallout 3 runs perfectly smooth at max, but it does stutter a bit when I add texture enhancements to it.
- Cons: It's not the 5870 :( (but I might be getting one of those soon! Maybe two!)
- Other Thoughts: Bought these for first computer I've built from scratch with new parts. I usually get hand-me-down parts from my father's old workplace, but with a little saving, I was able to get these, an E8400, and 4gb of RAM. Mid-to-high rig, able to handle everything I throw at it and more.
Incredible card for the price. Bought two when it was $100 and it was a great deal then, and now that it's cheaper, it's a great budget card that packs quite a punch. Don't expect it to run all the newest games at max settings, but it should last you a few years at mid-level quality in most games.
Anything pre-2009 can EASILY be run at max settings with Crossfire.
Amazing card
- Pros: Great Card, I've had it for about 7 months now, and I love it. Before i had a old, AGP machine, and I used Newegg to completely redo my gaming setup, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
I'm looking into buying another one soon and crossfiring it with the one I have now.
- Cons: None really, fans loud, but you get used to it.
- Other Thoughts: Powercolor is a good company.
