1 out of 5 eggsBuilt-in Overclocks never worked

Pros: -6970s are good
-cool copper piping
-big fans to dissipate heat

Cons: -Factory overclock didn't work, always crashed or gave graphical errors
-Expensive
-Aftermarket fans gobble up free pci slots

Other Thoughts: My main point of contention was that I paid a premium for the factory overclock from powercolor, and they never worked. I bought two of these cards but neither of them could do the 940mhz and 1425 mhz as advertised. I had to put both of the cards to stock settings and voila, no more crashing, no more bsods. I paid more and got nothing out of it.

I recently got a new mobo and was hoping maybe the switch in hardware would allow the factory overclocks to work, but no. 15 minutes into battlefield 3, skyrim, and planetside 2, bsods and graphical errors. I put them back down to stock settings and no more problem. I am a very frustrated consumer.

Would never buy from powercolor again.

3 out of 5 eggssoso

Pros: Runs well in I-mode with Intel 3000 HD graphics. I can only assume this is better as a support card?

Cons: Dead after 10 months. Board is now sagging from immense weight. Does not come with string to support said weight...crashed often playing Civ V, skyrim, on settings less than auto detect recommended. Always used updated drivers, situation above was using card in discrete mode. Specifically states ATI driver failed. Didn't even bother with second card; lists being crossfire compatible, this is not the case, pipes get in the way.

Other Thoughts: The Intel drivers built better than the AMD, much more compatible. Contacted power color today, let's see how their customer service works. Fourth card from AMD in 8 years. Seriously considering NVidia from all the previous dismal failures to meet expectations

5 out of 5 eggsAwe inspiring

Pros: I've thrown everything I've got at this thing and it just winks at me and keeps rollin'.

Looks great beside the Noctua NH-D14.

My system recognized it at full manufacturer settings from the moment I installed it and powered up

Cons: None...unless it stays 'Out Of Stock' and I have to search for another.

Other Thoughts: COOLER MASTER HAF 932
AMD FX-8150 Zambezi
Noctua NH-D14
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
16Gb Patriot Viper Xtreme 1866 (PC3 15000)
Corsair Force Series GT 90GB SATA III
PowerColor PCS+ RADEON HD 6970
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850W 80 PLUS GOLD

My system recognized it at full manufacturer settings from the moment I installed it and powered up. In the middle of a monster gaming session the fans were quiet and running at 50% @ 42 deg.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm impressed!

Pros: Bought two of these card and both worked out of the box.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've always bought Nvidia cards. This was my first purchase with PowerColor. So far, I'm impressed

These card are factory overclocked so I had to overclock my CPU (AMD-8150) to make the cards happy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Single Card runs Eyefinity setup w/ AMD Phenom II X4 CPU. Runs Dirt 3, Crysis, Battlefield 2, Race 07, rFactor, iRacing, F1 2010, NFS Shift & Shift 2 great in 6056 x 1080 resolution. Temp during gaming never gets over 65-70*C.

Cons: 1st Card bit the dust after a couple months. Was gaming and screens just went black. Sent back to PowerColor and they sent me a new card. Replacement card is a great one and has performed flawlessly ever since.

Other Thoughts: PowerColor's support was great. I have had the replacement card for at least 7 months now. Every time I sit in my Obutto Cockpit w/ triple 23" screens to edit video, surf the web, or fire up a racing title or FPS, I'm still impressed with this single card's performance at such a high resolution.
I use an Accell B087B-006B Mini DisplayPort Adapter ($28) to hook my 3rd DVI screen up to this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGood powerful card

Pros: Runs all my games at max settings!
No lag.
Super quiet, even under load.
Runs cool compared to the reference design.
Looks nice.
Plenty of connectivity.

Cons: When playing Grand Theft Auto 4 I get green sparkly artifacts when it rains. But I have no other problems, and it doesn't happen on any other game.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Hands down one of the best cards i have owned. I bought 2 of them and have them running in crossfire. They can handle any game and they run command and conquer fine, so dont be mistaken by the previous reviews.

Cons: Since the cards are huge , you'll need to utilize those power jacks. If you dont , they will come close to each other and break a fan blade. This happened to me.

Other Thoughts: I used these cards to replace my 3xsli gtx 285 setup. They go beyond those 3 cards.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful Card

Pros: Plays anything at ultimate settings. Very fast and powerful card.

Came with a Card Jack that stabilizes the card, the way my motherboard is built it holds my card upside down so the card jack was interfering with the cards fans i fixed that by repositioning the jack.

Cons: Huge card, but not really a con. Just make sure you have a big case with a lot of air circulation.

Other Thoughts: make sure your computer has the correct power supply wattage for this card. I have 900w I would use at lease 6-700w

1 out of 5 eggsISSUES,HAD TO RMA.

Pros: very well built, solid constrution
windows rated it 7.9
No driver issues
Worked right out of the box

RMA was SO easy, i didn't even have to pay shipping!
this is why i only buy from newegg!

Cons: More than half of my games were not compatible with this card, to list a few, Far Cry 1-2, GTA San Andreas & GTA IV, Doom 3, Fallout, Fallout New Vegas & all 12 of my command an conquer games and so on. Games would start up for 10-20 seconds and then it would kick me to desktop. I made sure all drivers were installed correctly and the offical AMD website said i had all the most recent updates and drivers. When i happened to find a game it worked with, it was laggy, bumpy and un-playable.

I tested The Speed of the Graphics card on Passmark, turns out my 160$ GTX 460 is faster -_- the score went down by several hundred when i tested the Radeon 6970. WTH?! The free card supporter was also a joke -_-maybe if it was twice the length it would have worked, it didn't even reach my card when i mounted it on my psu. This is the first time i was ever let down by AMD, My ENTIRE computer is all AMD products and i am a huge fan, but i would not buy aother AMD card if this is their higher end.

Other Thoughts: My Setup
Processor- AMD 1100T 6-Core HEXA CORE, OC 3.8 GHz

Processor Heatsink- COOLER MASTER V8

Video Card- Nvidia GTX 460

RAM- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

5 out of 5 eggsPowerColor delivered

Pros: Fast
Quiet
Runs cool (relatively speaking)

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I just ran this card through Furmark 1.9.2 burn-in for 15 minutes @ 1920x1200. The card peaked at 73C with the fans running 50%. I couldn't hear the card over ambient noise in the room. Immediately after this run I ran the 15-minute burn-in benchmark. The card finally hit 74C. Final burn-in benchmark score: 2633.
