5 out of 5 eggsMost excellent

Pros: Card was a tight fit but once in the coolermaster case it was a dream to hook up and get going. D/L the latest drivers and its off to some serious COD4. This card raised my framerates from 34fps with my old GTX8800 to 58fps!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: newegg rocks as per usual on delivery and price!

5 out of 5 eggsBest value for power gaming

Pros: Runs every game I've thrown at it on the highest settings with smooth framerates. Only Crysis with all settings on VERY high was slightly laggy. Still very playable though, and on high settings it's perfectly smooth. Pretty affordable for that level of gaming performance. Very highly recommended.

Cons: May become sentient and enslave humanity

Other Thoughts: Bought this with a new comp, Core 2 Duo E8500 w/4gb RAM and 650w Seasonic PSU. You will need a good PSU with 2 PCI-E connectors. Fits in Lian Li PC-K7B with plenty of room to spare.

5 out of 5 eggsFits in Dell Studio/Inspiron Desktop!!!

Pros: Runs very cool, 45-55C on average depend on what you are donig. Runs very very quiet, quieter than 8800GT and 9800GT and ATI 4850. I owned all 3 video card before and this GTX is the most quiet. I went from a 9800GT card to this GTX 260, and playing Call of duty world at war Beat. The gameplay is noticeably MORE FLUID and with faster frame rate. At 1680 x 1050 all setting ultra high and 8X AA, detail and water reflection is stunning. Red Alert 3 also run on all ultra high detail.

Cons: see below

Other Thoughts: This card measures 10.5 inches long bumper to bumper. Make sure your cars is big enough. This requires 2 X 6 Pin PCI E Adapter, and make sure you have power supply with enough wattage and combined AMP to run it. There is a miracle! I have dell studio desktop which has same case as Inspiron 530/531, and somehow this GTX 260 beast fit in that MINI ATX TOWER perfectly with room to spare!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: This GPU gave me a significant boost in quality and fps on all games: Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, and COD 4. Very good price for what you get. Way better than ATI's equivalent.

Cons: Takes a lot of power, had a 500W power supply and computer would turn off after 10 minutes of Crysis.

Other Thoughts: Great product, recommended. Newegg is the best.

5 out of 5 eggsPNY is #1

Pros: Great GPU! I've been using PNY video cards for years nd I have never been disappointed! PNY offers excellent quality, reliability and performance. Over the years I've upgraded from PNY FX5200 -> PNY 7300GT-> PNY7800GTX -> PNY 8800GT -> PNY GTX260. All have been great for their time and prove to me PNY's overall quality!

I use this card by itself - no SLI - in an Asus Maximus II Formula mobo and the performance is outstanding! It's almost not necessary to use SLI boards anymore since they're so glitchy. Go for stability and get this or the GTX280 and forget SLI for now - at least until Nvidia gets their chipsets stable.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsWHERE TO BEGIN

Pros: ok this thing is a beast! installed flawlessly no probs as of yet. i love the oversized fan setup this series of nvidia boasts. gotta love nvidia.

Cons: only wish the 280 wouldve been cheaper lol. but overall way better than most cards as cheap or slightly cheaper. oh and for those who dont believe, this card stomps the stuff out of the 9800 gx2!

Other Thoughts: just wonder when nvidia will produce a card as insane as the 4870 x2 with 2 gigs of onboard ram? granted im no ATI fan but lets be honest the specs along of their card is insane compared to nvidia but im an nvidia fan boy so.

5 out of 5 eggsMust Have for Linux Gaming!

Pros: Great ownership experience with the cool black box and gold writing. Mine came with DVI-HDMI, DVI-VGA, SPDIF Cable and Component Cable. nVidia Linux driver 177.80 officially supports this card. Works great in Ubuntu 8.04. All native mode games play extremely well: ETQW 1.5 at 1680x1050 is smooth as silk. So powerful I can play COD4 at 1680x1050 in emulation! nVidia Linux driver has lots of great features to tweak display settings. Image quality is incredible. Totally satisfied.

Cons: Draws so much power I had to up my NB and FSB voltages to maintain my CPU overclock. This threw me for a loop at first and makes me very glad I went to stock settings before installing the card. Size not really a con because I have a CM690 case. Also, everyone should realize this video card is about 25 times as powerful as the computer you are putting it in, so really it is quite small by comparison.

Other Thoughts: Did not buy this here because I had credit at another store. Got this to replace my 3870 because its Linux driver is not very mature. Computer is Foxconn X38A at 1600 FSB, Q6600 at 3.6GHz, 4x1GB Kingston HyperX DDR2-800 at 3-3-3-9 2.1 V. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on Maxtor 500GB.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card

Pros: Beats my old 8800 card I paid not too long ago twice as much for, by about 50%. Not hot at all even under stress, but I am not overclocking and using rather big case for this.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: 260 beats all the 8000 and 9000 I seen so far, of course there is 280 on market.. but too pricey.

5 out of 5 eggsALL YOU NEED

Pros: For today;s games it is all you need. Works great on Vista 64 and works best with a quad processor. Until DX 11 comes out I would buy this over the 4870 or GTX280. Should last in today's game enviroment for at least 18 months. Make sure you download the nVidia power packs from their web site. Also, I here that dirver version 1.80 when released will make it even a better card than it is!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a large case or expect to do some cutting. It is 10.5 inches long! That 1.5 inches longer than a 8800GT. A good power supply is a must. The TX750W fits the bill with room to spare. This single rail 60amp will SLI 2 of these guys at a fair price. These are not cons just things that you should know.
