4 out of 5 eggsgood value

Pros: I actually got the rebate. Thus the end cost was around 20 bucks at the time. Bought 3 total. 1 went in an upgraded Dell and is working beautifully. It's not for gaming but it has no probkem with 1080 video. The 2nd went in a HTPC with an i3 2100 and 8GB Gskill 1333 ram. It's running Linux Mint and XBMC like a champ. 1080p and 5.1 audio work perfect. I really like that it doesn't need extra power. Its quite, cool, and small.

Cons: No real cons as I knew this was a low end card. You won't be playing any modern games on it.

Other Thoughts: When I got these it was a good deal. Now however I would get the 640 or 650 just because they've come down in price. Still great for a low power rig or htpc. I checked and they rank just below a 8800 GT.

4 out of 5 eggsupdated older server

Pros: locally available at a moments notice
capable
drivers easily and automatically updated

Cons: locally pricey
3 year old technology

Other Thoughts: The local computer shop was closed, and I got this in the electronic section of a variety dept. store. It seems if I went mail order, I could have gotten much newer technology with double the memory for less of a price, but I wanted to fix an install of both Win 7 and 8 which may have been prevented by faulty drivers with the then currently installed "old" nVidia card. This card allowed the restoration and upgrade at the time I had to do the fix, so basically I must be happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything looks absolutely stunning on the screen. I did not realize how much a different graphics card could make on the same screen. I was very pleasantly surprised by this.

Cons: Seems I got the dreaded “Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version xxx.xx stopped responding and has successfully recovered.” with this Nvidia cards. I won’t dock an egg because this seems to affect the entire spectrum of Nvidia cards and as far as I have found out, the cause is not known so I won’t blame the product.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price

Pros: Small, quiet, inexpensive, powerful enough to support full HD video playback, can handle two monitors.

Cons: None that come to mind

Other Thoughts: Now if I figure out how to remove my older review... Rebate was on its way after I contacted the customer service

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install. Runs quiet. Low power. Pretty much as advertised. Don't expect to run any games on High. But if you're struggling with low performance on-board graphics like my brother. It should let you play most games with little graphic lag. He was having trouble running World of Tanks on all low setting and after it worked just fine.

A cheap upgrade. Fits well in small PC towers that became prevalent in stores.

Cons: None really.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't believe the rebate

Pros: Card good enough for smooth full 1080p HD playback and streaming, which is what I got it for. Handles two monitors well.

Cons: Rebate rejected for no reason. So 1 star unless I can get it accepted without spending hours on phone support hold.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked like a charm

Pros: Easy to install, inexpensive and just worked. I used the CD to install the drivers on Windows 7 and voila. I got it for online gaming and the simulator needed a 1GB card. This fit the bill and I didn't spend a fortune. Very quiet as well.

Cons: None I can think of, hopefully will last a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Graphics for a Low Profile PC

Pros: - Small Heatsink/Fan profile
- Low profile brackets included
- Low power consumption
- Simple plug & play
- Brackets alligned perfectly (PNY must've fixed the issue)

I recommended this video card for a friend who has a Dell Optiplex XE (2.6ghz dual core E5300 & 4GB DDR3 Memory w/ onboard graphics). He received the PC for free and wanted something to play most Valve/Source games on. Unfortunately w/ onboard grahics he was barely making 10-15fps in CS:Source & TF2. Dropped this badboy in and was reaching 60 FPS on both games at 1080p w/ max graphics and AA. The difference was monstrous. I'd have to say if you're running a very small form factor pc or a case with no room inside, grab this, you won't regret it. I'm sure it can run some of the latest games even at medium settings. It increased the PC speed incredibly.

Cons: - Dated drivers on disc (I'd recommend to download the latest drivers previous to installing video card)
- The large bracket was somewhat hard to remove at first.
- Somewhat flimsy heatsink (can't complain, my own fault I somewhat bent a fin)

Other Thoughts: If you're trying to revive an older PC or something w/ very little room inside for very cheap, grab this card. It may not be able to run BF3, Skyrim, or D3 at High or Extra High settings but that isn't something you can expect. You'll be able to run most games pre 2010 w/ no problem at all.

4 out of 5 eggsA decent temporary replacement

Pros: I've had this card for almost a year now, and it performs decently. I purchased this as a temporary replacement for a fried PNY 8800 GT. It performs about as well, with the added benefit of running DirectX 11. Another nice thing is that it came with a low profile bracket, for those wanting to use it in such an application. It's a nice small card, and stays fairly cool.

Cons: It's only about as good as an 8800 GT. Yes, I know this is a pro at the price, but I had figured that enough years had passed that even a cheaper card would have smoked a four/five year-old card. Still worth the money regardless.

Other Thoughts: I've always liked PNY cards, as they've always been highly reliable for me.
