4 out of 5 eggsBF3

Pros: Runs BF3 max. done.

Cons: i hear it gets hot. but this is OCd and I'd expect that. Have a good case with adequate air flow.

Other Thoughts: I replaced a 9800GT with this one.

Core2Duo 3Ghz
6GB DDR2
Win7
22in LED 1080p
This card.

BF3 max. done.
Next upgrade will probably be a core2quad once the price is right.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good!

Pros: Fast and Quiet! They do run hot according to PNY support. 100 degrees.

Cons: Cannot get a temp on the gpu without a software crack. The support tech at PNY to ask how to get a temp reading. He told me I could with a particular software but he said if I did it would void the warranty.

Other Thoughts: PNY - include a sensor for temp readings. seems that this would be a logical step???

4 out of 5 eggslow cost - high temps

Pros: After owning ATI video cards for the last 10 years and consistently being let down by them I decided to return to NVIDIA. I made the correct choice. This thing runs everything I through at it flawlessly, Duke Nukem, Crysis 2, Oblivian 2. I never see frame jerks.
Switches between windows desktop and games without hesitation or problems.

Cons: Temps, plain and simple the hottest running card I've owned.
I've seen this card reach 64 C/ 147 F when rescuing babes with Duke Nukem, granted that’s with the settings on max. It’s just hard for me to accept those temps when my cpu has a water cooling system that keeps it at a max of 36 C / 96 F when gaming.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this card to anyone looking to save money but still wants a current gen chipset.
Just for fun I installed Half life 2: Lost Coast, set the display settings to max and ran the speed test. It averaged 230 fps….not to shabby.
Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go rescue some babes from the alien pigs.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Can run new games really well.

Cons: Runs pretty hot when playing games(82 C). First two days made my computer lose signal and crash.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice small lightweight card, runs 40-60 fps on WoW in stormwind. Idling at about 35C only jumps up to about 50C while in games.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bang for your buck

5 out of 5 eggsSLI => GTX 590

Pros: I put two of these in a new system build and 3DMARK11 scores (4980-5080) are equal to or better then a similar system running a GTX 590 ($750) for $250.

Cons: I still have to butter my own bread in the morning.

Other Thoughts: It's all about bang for the buck, if you a power supply and motherboard that can handle SLIing two of these cards then why spend and extra $500 for a GTX 590.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good !

Pros: After a lot of research i landed upon this card, after a decent amount of research (review websites like toms hardware), this one came up on top.
SET UP:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz
MOBO: MSI 760GM-P33 AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series -8GB-
VGA: PNY GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 1GB OC (This Card)
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX600w
(everything bought from Newegg)
------------------------------------------------

This card looks sharp, requires only a 6 pin connector which is nice, most power supplies can handle that. This card has a HDMI port - Plug in your HDTV no problem! When i plugged my LCD HDTV it didnt even require a configuration it just worked :)
If you *want* a powerful card, if you *want* a good looking card, if you *want* the ability to say "my graphics cardis overclocked" (lol i do) and you want to run your games at max settings without lag (based on my experience and setup) then waste no more time, get this card!

Cons: It gets warm but doesn't get hot enough to worry a lot about it.

5 out of 5 eggsLook no further

Pros: This card is powerful, its not the best card on the market obviously but if you wanna spend 120-160 on a card this is probably the best bang for your buck. It runs every game installed on my PC flawlessly- Counter-Strike Source, World of Warcraft, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Crysis 2, The Sims 3, Portal 2, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends. Ive turned up the graphics on every one of those games as high as possible, i went into the Nvidia driver settings and turned everything up in the 3D settings category. So far this card has went beyond my expectations for a "budget" card.

Cons: Hmm cons.. lets see. This card has black plastic all over it which in my experience has only hindered a graphics cards ability to disperse heat and it does get warm over a long gaming session in a poorly ventilated situation. Having said that, ive owned similar nvidia cards and even though they do get warm they haven't malfunctioned in any way.

Other Thoughts: After a lot of research i landed upon this card, i wanted to spend 120-160 on a video card and this one, after a decent amount of research (review websites like toms hardware), this one came up on top. At the moment im writing this review, the normal version of this card (non factory overclocked) is actually more expensive on newegg..weird.

5 out of 5 eggsFlipping Awesome

Pros: Stays uber cool, around 130 when working its hardest. Super cheap, runs quieter and smoother than the previous GTS 450. DX11, Battlefield BC2 ran at avg 143 fps maxed out.

Cons: It is not a GTX 580 for 150 dollars.

Other Thoughts: If you are like me and enjoy being able to upgrade your graphics card twice a year, than the 50 series is what you want. It offers high end capabilities at a bargain price plus you always have something new to show off to your nerdy friends. A gtx 460 PNY is a good comparable.
