The PNY GeForce GTX 660 XLR8 not only extends the NVIDIA Kepler-powered family of graphics cards to new levels of affordability but also retains class-leading performance and power efficiency. It's the weapon of choice for gamers and a must-have upgrade for today's hottest games. The PNY GeForce GTX 660 XLR8 graphics card represents the Kepler "sweet spot" for gamers—the ultimate combination of performance, power efficiency, and affordability.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: Was on sale, with a rebate :) Put this in a new build, so it was was a pretty big upgrade from my 6950 (flashed to 6970)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great bang for your buck.

5 out of 5 eggsBest purchase made

Pros: Easy setup and configuration
Low power draw
Optimization recommendations for many games.
4 monitor support is a dream!

Metro: Last Light Steam code is just what I needed to seal the deal

Cons: Size. The card is the length of my full ATX board. Make sure you have space in the case!

Other Thoughts: This card stepped me out of Intel Graphics 4000, which did me alright up until this point. To say the least, this card will last me quite a while before i need upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far great!

Pros: So far so good. Card works great. I got lucky and got it on sale (sold out that day). I did quite a bit of research and most forums suggest this card for gamers. Stays cool and has yet to be pushed as far as graphics go!

Cons: Big (others are as well)

Other Thoughts: I would recommend a full size tower to maximize air flow!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid card

Pros: Runs in sli with a Galaxy brand card without a hitch. Two of the 660's together are a pretty mean combo.
Singularly, this card actually beats the Galaxy by a tiny margin. Low power draw means I can overclock an I5 3570 and still power 2 660's on a 650w pwr supp.
Hits 62c max as the top card in sli in an R4 define (closed, few fans) case. Pretty impressed by that. The lower card runs 4c cooler - the norm.

Cons: I picked this up too close to the release of the 7xx series. Still hovering around $200, I should have waited a month and got it for a lower amount. What can I say, I'm weak! ;)

Other Thoughts: Running a single 660 will allow decent FPS @ 1920x 1080 with a pretty low power draw. This card is NOT a very good overclocker, but really isn't needed if you're planning on a 2nd for sli - a worthy upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck!

Pros: Ended up getting this for about 25$ under current price.

Currently in SLi configuration with my EVGA GTX 660.
Awesome performance!
Playing Metro: Last Light completely maxed out
Tested Crysis 3 maxed out, worked like a charm!
Runs cool also! Idle about 33c tops out about 67c in SLi configuration.

Cons: None! LOVE IT!

4 out of 5 eggsPNY GTX 660

Pros: Easy install. Had it up and running and with latest drivers using geforce experience. Without any overclocking and using auto fan speed controller, it runs stable and cool at load. Picked it up to play Dead Island GOTY edition after a $4 sale and have been happily surprised to see it sustain over 120fps at max settings for this game at 1080p. Metro Last Light coupon was easy to redeem and I'll be installing it soon. Happy for the DVI-D, DVI-I, and HDMI ports which are all being used to display two samsung LCD monitors at 1980x1200 and my LG LCD tv at 1080p. I imainge the display port shall be sufficient should I ever get a display with higher resolution.

Awesome price for what Tom's Hardware called the best $200 video card.

Cons: None as of yet. I couldn't have had a better experience with this product and I am happy about the price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, fast delivery by Newegg as always. Running most games at ultra high setting with 30+ frames.

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Good price verses performance. Have not tried to download free game at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Video card

Pros: It was on sale
runs great, bought this card to increase my FPS in GTA IV and it did, I upgraded from the AMD HD 7770 which was giving me 20-30 fps and this card boosted it to 40-60(pending area and whats going on)
As a gamer this card is perfect

Cons: non so far

Other Thoughts: I was told by one of my friends after I bought this game that the card was more for business use.. unsure if thats completely true hes running a GTX 660 Ti msi and we get primarily the same fps depending on areas

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 660

Pros: Fast, looks cool.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Most games maintain 60 fps at max settings. Includes SC2 (with a i5 3.1ghz) WoW, Call of duty series, LoL, D3.

Decent card, can drop frames in intense situations. Usually doesnt go under 40.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice

Pros: I bought three of these to each run a machine with three monitors, each 2560x1600, with one card in each machine. Very nice. Not the kludge of display cards that I previously used.

Low power for the performance.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: now I get to see the limited resolution of many pdf files
