Does this have the green Geforce Gtx on the top? if so, does it glow?

No, nothing on the top. It does run a little hot though, so use a video card software to control fan. I use MSI Afterburner.

Does this card contain SLI support for running with a dual configuration?

Accepted Answer

Yes it does.  The GTX 960 has one SLi edge connector for 2-way systems, although for the price of two you may be better off saving up a little more for a single 980.

Would this be a good card for graphics like Photoshop?

Yes, 1024 CUDA cores would provide plenty of extra oomph for compute workloads, and has gaming chops to boot for your off-hours.

how many heatpipes does the cooler have?

I can't tell, its covered up pretty good. When I first got it, I ran a few games and it was hitting 90c pretty fast. I then installed MSI Afterburner, set fan to auto. I now plays around 60c. That's at 1080p. Seems OK. Make sure to register it at PNY, you get a lifetime warranty.

What is a CUDA Core?

CUDA is just Nvidias term for their graphics cards architecture. AMD calls theirs stream processors but you can't compare the twos numbers 1 to 1. Basically the higher the CUDAS the higher you'll be able to turn up your graphics. This is is a great mid grade card that lets you play everything at medium to high settings.

Can this card support to 4k monitors at 60hz?

Not a chance, the gtx 960 is just not powerfull enough without an overclock and i would not overclock this card with a blower cooler. this card tends to run a bit hot when under load as it is.

Question 7

How many monitors can this support at once and is there is a certain configuration of outputs to get that max number? I ask because I have a card that says it supports 3 monitors but using the 2 mini-dp and hdmi ports doesn't work.

I do not have personal experience with multi-monitor setups, so take what i say with a grain of salt. However the box says you can support up to 4 monitors using a dual link dvi port and hdmi and 3 display ports. From the little bit i have researched this card will probably comfortably run 2 monitors at 1080 with ease.

And to posably help with your other problem, some graphics cards can only use multi-monitor setups with some kind of dual link depending on your graphics card. A look at the card manufacture's websight may give you some insight on this.

would 2 of these in sli be better than a 980?

At best it would be equal considering a 960 is exactly half a 980, but with slightly higher clocks to compensate.
