5 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: Fast, huge upgrade from a 7600GT.

Cons: Price has dropped substantially since I bought it.... but hey, such is the way of the video card market.

Other Thoughts: ECS got my rebate to me in about 3 months.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd review of product

Pros: Finally got my rebate. : ) Took right at 3 months : (

Card still running great. I used Riva tuner to set fan at constant 50%. That is still quiet while offering a 10 degree C cooling advantage. Card runs at around 60 C most of the time now. To date this has been one of my best "Bang for the Bucks" graphics card purchases ever.

Cons: Rebates just take too long.

Within a few months there is always a more powerful card that sells for the same or less.

Other Thoughts: One of the great things about G92 8800GTS is that they will run on less power than you would think. I am running mine off the stock Delta 400w PSU (30amps total on 2 12v rails) that came in my Gateway GT5636E System. I have zero problems gaming for hours with this PSU/Card combo. It was nice not having to immediately upgrade the PSU in a brand new system.

Pros: Fast and looks good when it works...

Cons: As of right now paired with the 780i mobo I am getting lots of BSOD errors about the nv4_disp.dll. So basically the nvidia drivers are bad. Lots of people have been having this problem and it appears there are no answers. It could be a bad gpu or a bad mobo also. I will write a better review if I can find an answer.

Other Thoughts: Games and videos look great when they are working but it is a huge bummer when you get BSOD errors. Apparently Nvidia hasn't fixed these problems for years. Sort of wishing I went with ATI instead...

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Great performance, overclocks really well

Cons: Double slot design, but it probably stays cooler with more room

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome upgrade over 7600gt

Pros: This card is much faster than expected! Compared to the 7600gt, this cut video conversion times and COD4 and SIMS 2 can finally play at maxed settings at the 1680x1050 resolution. A steal for 160 after rebate when bought.

Cons: Biggest card I've ever seen! Had to move HDs out of the way in my Ultra mid-tower case. Take your measurements.

Other Thoughts: Ultra Grid/700W Ultra PSU/ASUS M2N-E SLI/AMD FX-62/Zalman 9500/4GB G.Skill DDR2 800/2xWD 250GB HDs/Samsung DVD-RW/TV tuner/Linksys WiFi/& this awesome vid card!
Thanks Newegg for the awesome offers!

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a greay buy

Pros: Got this card for under 170 after MIR, and for that price you can not go wrong. Bought it over an 8800GT because of the double slot cooling - it expels heat out the back of the case instead of just warming up the rest of the case. Awesome graphic performance. To fix the fan speed issue, just use riva tuner to make it whatever you wish. About 65-70% keeps it quiet and greatly improves cooling performance.

Cons: Long-ish. Covers the northbridge and one of the PCI-E 1x slots. Stock fan speed is only 37%, and is noisy at full speed.

Other Thoughts: Antec 900/ Gigabyte GA-M57-SLI/ AMD Athlon X2 5000+ Black Edition/ Zalman 9700LED/ Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2x1GB/ ECS 8800GTS 512MB (G92)/ PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610w/ 2x WD Caviar 250GB/ 2x LiteOn DVD-RW

5 out of 5 eggsAll 8800 GTS's are the same

Pros: Its a great card that runs really cool if you bump up the fan speed. I have my fan at 100% speed with riva tuner and it stays at 45c idle. It is a bit noisy but that doesnt really bother me if i can keep it as cool as possible to overclock.

Cons: none really, all boards are made by nvidia. more on that below.

Other Thoughts: People who complain about the quality of the card dont know what they're talking about. All the boards are made by Nvidia each company just packs them in their boxes and slaps a sticker on it or overclocks it. i dont see the point of paying $50 more for a card with just a slight 25mhz overclock, although i can see how this appeals to the ignorant people who are too scared to do it themselves. also in response to Iron_chef you dont know what youre talking about. Did you even try using the card? if it explodes into a fireball then you know it wasnt being contacted. Those cheap white thermal tapes are on all the boards, i saw it on my friends BFG one. the only reason you would want another brand is for warranty purposes. other than that, all cards are the same exact thing. you can spot out the people that dont do their research if they complain that ECS is poor quality.

5 out of 5 eggs9800 GTX+ speeds

Pros: Clocks @ 821/1890/1053 maybe more, but these are my 24/7 speeds when gaming. Plays all my games @ 1080p just fine, except crysis. Crysis I run at 1536x864 with a mixture of very high settings. 15760 3DMark06 score.

Cons: ATI 4850 handles AA better, as is about the same price. Also the stock fan speed is a little slow, but very easy to change.

5 out of 5 eggsStill a great card

Pros: I've had this overclocked to 9800GTX speeds for a month now with the fan @ 80% never goes over 60C even when running crysis. Speeds are 675 core 1101 mem (2202) shader 1674 I'm sure I can go higher on the core and the shader but I won't see any major results

Cons: none unless you can't figure out how to control your fan speed or put this in a case that fits the card. If you can't do either of these then maybe you shouldn't be upgrading your computer.

Other Thoughts: I was curious if people were having problems oc the memory. I see low oc's on the memory.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Inexpensive 8800GTS card. It does what it is supposed to do. OC'd no problem, but you have to bump up the fan to 50% manually in nTune. Otherwise it runs around 75 deg C under load. The 'automatic' fan feature in nTune don't seem to do anything and leaves it on 37%.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: COD4 plays great with this card.
