4 out of 5 eggsA great video card for the watts

Pros: This was a great video card for the watts, and is still kicking today. GDDR 5;)

Cons: Direct X 9 only, on 90 something cuda cores. At the time was a great watt to performance GPU, but is dated. Only 512MB ram

5 out of 5 eggsEpic

Pros: For such a low-mid range price, you can handle every game up until Black Ops on it. I have nothing more to say than that, this card is a beast for the price, and GDDR5, even at 128 bit has proven awesome.

Cons: It doesn't do my laundry

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice card for casual gaming. Low power requirement means it will work for most entry level systems or systems that use a ~300W psu etc. Got it to replace my ATI 4350 that came with the system and quite pleased with the improve in performance.

Cons: Cannot adjust the fan speed. I'm not sure if its just my card or most of them are like this, but once I start a game the fan revs up and the noise it makes is quite noticeable.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate on purchase

Pros: Quiet card for playing SCII. YES, I GOT MY REBATE WOO HOO!

Cons: Might be better stuff out there, but for me and Linux, it works great.

Other Thoughts: Did I mention I just got my rebate? Thanks ECS for living up to your word

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card!!!

Pros: Bought it for my roommate. Card works great and was a shell shocker. Newegg made the whole process easy.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Was to upgrade a basic Compaq desktop so had to upgrade power supply as well. Make sure you have the minimum requirements.

4 out of 5 eggsOk for the price

Pros: . cheap
. low power, no additional power connection needed
. quiet, low power card so the cooling is much easier and runs quieter

Cons: . Performance isn't as good as Gigabyte GT240 (also with 512MB GDDR5)
. the driver cd doesn't include 64 bit system, download it from their website (about 140MB). [could have easily fit on the CD]

Other Thoughts: Got it on Shell shocker deal so it wasn't too bad, I won't buy it for regular price.

5 out of 5 eggsEVS GeForce GT240

Pros: Works great, using for mythtv in a system that didn't need a low-profile card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: People keep complaining about a lack of spdif connector. This card doesn't need it, cause it has it's own built in sound card. Totally beats having to install a sound card into a computer just so you can get spdif output on it to feed into a video card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for phyx

Pros: This card is good card for the price (I got mine in a trade).

* Low power draw
* Based new 40nm fab
* Runs cool for the most part
* Does not need an AUX power supply
* Does great for when I need a test card in a system

Cons: * 9800GT is more powerful
* Most ATI cards in the range (around 100 USD) eats this thing alive

Other Thoughts: For what it is, this card is great! I have it run at stock clocks doing physx in my Xfire 5770 machine (yes you can run nvidia and ati together in the same machine).

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent graphics card for $65

Pros: -excellent FPS on games like Dirt 2, Battle Field Bad Company at 1440 X 900 resolution at medium to high settings with AA enabled.
-Price is 65$ after THAT is cheap for a low high end card
-At Idle the temperature is 29 degrees Celsius and reaches a maximum of about 60 degrees maximum at load
-sweet picture of a sexy girl on the card itself :D

Cons: -struggles a bit at higher settings, though it is still a beast.
-doesn't have support for SLI, which kinda sucks, but I knew this before purchasing
-the 3D glasses support thing is a gimmick

Other Thoughts: I wanted to purchase the ATI HD 4850 which is a bit more expensive than this card but has better performance but my order shipped by the time I tried to change my order. I am not extremely dissapointed since this card is decent itself. Anyone who isn't an avid gamer but still wants decent graphics should seriously check this card out, it is a beast for the price. Also the 3d glasses which you need to buy seperately cost $200 USD which SUCKS. Why would you spend $65 on a video card and then $200 for some accessory?

5 out of 5 eggsGeForce GT or GS 240

Pros: Power supply upgrade is not needed for average HP Pavillion. Install was seamless for Win7 64. HDMI sound works fine but I think SPDIF connection is lost? Don't use spdif so haven't really worried about it. It does the job without spending a fortune.

Cons: Microsoft Windows and nVidia drivers update crashed this graphics card and I am sure many others with a 3D add-on downloaded automatically. I never installed it and didn't want it. I lost a hard drive and swapped out this graphics card when nothing was wrong with the card. Finally after 30 hangs and a BSOD, I uninstalled the 3D add-on and everything returned to normal!

Other Thoughts: The card works fine but this hangup of the graphics card was not problem if I was there to shut down the system when it hung up, but once I was not there and in the morning my hard drive was dead. nvidia 3D drivers killed 350 gigs of data and cost me days of troubleshooting! Bad software hurts!!!
