Based on the PCI-e interface, the BFG Tech BFGR76256GTOCE Video Card has a GeForce 7600 GPU at its core for the ultimate gaming experience. Like all BFG products, this card, too, is overclocked. Based on an NVIDIA manufactured chipset, it has a clock speed of 580MHz (versus 560MHz standard) and 12 pixel pipelines! Its has a whopping 128-bit 256 MB GDDR3 memory running at 1450MHz (versus 1400MHz standard)! All this and its ability to support ShaderModel 3.0, translates into ultra-realistic visual effects, dynamic lighting, amazing sound, and excellent vision blur. As it is compliant with DirectX 9, OpenGL 2.0, and Windows 2000/XP, it ensures compatibility with all new games.

The card incorporates several of NVIDIA's proprietary technologies which combine to help unleash the true potential of any game. This card is SLI ready, allowing the simultaneous running of more than one GPU. Performance is enhanced by the unique Superscalar GPU architecture. All of this is cooled by a heatsink and fan combo, located on top of the main GPU. The card is also Windows Vista ready, and supports the HDTV format.

This is one hot offering from BFG, and a worthy addition to your weapons cache!

5 out of 5 eggsLongevity

Pros: Graphics card

Cons: Entropy.

Other Thoughts: I have been running this card solid for 6 years now. Almost 24/7. It still plays games, even new ones, but it's just on the edge.

3 out of 5 eggsNoisy but nice

Pros: This is a good card, runs everything just fine, set up is real easy. A quality card for a budget gaming machine.

Cons: The fan is freaking driving me crazy. I have had it for 6 months, and the noise is boring a hole in my head.

This is a noisy card.

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal when purchased

Pros: Purchased Christmas 2006. Presented a fantastic price to performance ratio when I purchased it compared to other cards on the market. Runs Company of Heroes at 1280X1024 with all settings set to high/ultra except for a few(take into account the rest of my system 2 gigs ram + 2ghz core2duo) giving an average FPS of 24.

Cons: Nothing that the price didn't make up for.

Other Thoughts: Was a fantastic deal after rebate. Rebate took a while but did indeed arrive without any trouble.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Great card, love how it is overclocked right out of the box. Battlefield 2142 plays at around 60fps and Half-life 2 plays at 200fps (at max settings)

Cons: None, buy it

Other Thoughts: Planning to get another one for SLI in my new computer

5 out of 5 eggsGo With The 8 Series Cards

Pros: I still own this video card, I bought it about a year ago. It runs Stalker pretty well with Full Dynamic Lighting, but it's showing age, so time for an upgrade.

Cons: As far as the price goes, you can get a DX-10 card that outperforms this card easily, and save around $40-50 dollars.

Other Thoughts: It was a great card about a year ago, it still plays games very very well but if your going to buy this you might as well get a DX-10 card, spend a little more or even less as long as you get 8xxx series your good.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's not loud unless you let it be.

Pros: It's good card at a good price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: To those of you running this under Vista and complaining about noise: Vista does not ramp fan speed properly on this card. Use ntune to manually lower the fan speed. Just turn it up when you want to play a game.

4 out of 5 eggsHot and Loud

Pros: Good price

Cons: This card idles around 48 degree C. The fan sounds like a 747 taking off.

Other Thoughts: I need to change out the heat sink and fan to cure the heat and noise problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Price, Sli, Fast, Good drivers, runs every game I've tried at maxed settings pretty smooth. Best dx9 card under 7950gtoc for the price I think.

Cons: Cooler fan noisy. Sounds like twin turbine jets firing up in the case. LOL

Other Thoughts: I still buy them for builds they are great budget, great performace cards. Runs a little hot, but the coolers work fine. Would buy again.
