WOW. I am impressed.
- Pros: Old card was x850xt. My benchmarks doubled with 3d mark 05 and 06. Not to mention all the eye candy I was missing out on. Old games look even better now. I am VERY impressed. I can play Bioshock 1600x1200 with this puppy. I am running World in Conflict same res. flawless. With the rebate this was a steal. Way better than anything in its $ range.
- Cons: It isn't a 8800GTS :)
- Other Thoughts: I have never owned an Nvidia card before. I am impressed. :)
Pleased with purchase
- Pros: Price is very good with the rebate. I shopped around heavily before deciding to purchase this card. Without any overclocking, I play Titan Quest on max everything at 1280x1024 and it runs perfect. HL2, EQ2, and DoD: Source, are no different, max and runs great. Also, it's less power demanding than the 8 series. BFG gives you a stock overclock which is a bonus. They also give you a Lifetime Warranty, you can't beat that for peace of mind.
- Cons: Maybe runs a little warm, but I haven't had any problems as a result of it and there is a lifetime warranty on it so who cares?
- Other Thoughts: This is the second BFG card I have purchased and both times I have received a check in the mail after sending them my rebate. I haven't ever had any technical problems with either of my BFG cards either. Also, why spend double the price of this for the 8800 series when they're hardly going to run Crysis and other next gen titles better, you're better off waiting for the generation after those. This card will be more than adequate for anything you throw at it right now and you'll save a lot money to put towards your next card. I'd imagine it will be able to run them at lower settings anyways.
- Pros: nice card for the price
- Cons: 61c idle sometimes goes for 90c LOAD! open side pannel 76c load.
- Other Thoughts: Although it runs very hot it doesnt affect my gaming performance even after hours of playing ET:QW and Bioshock.
I ordered a Zalman vf900 hopefully it will reduce the temps dramaticly.
