Pros: Well built and I've had no issues with it at all

Cons: Can't handle HD/BluRay minus one egg.

5 out of 5 eggshad this exact card for a while after i purchased from newegg.

Pros: great card, hands down.... for an AGP card it will rock your socks! despite some reviews ofit being a flawed card here on newegg, This card is a mainstay for my wifes Vista Machine....I currently have this card overclocked to almost double the core and memory speeds and had it for almost a full year.... it worked great in W7 (up untill i got my new rig)

overall great upgrade from lets say, a Radeon 9500 or earlier...

Cons: None except if your lookin for extreme graphics

Other Thoughts: as long as you wish to use it for World of Warcraft, Flatout 2,The Sims series and most pre-next generation games, you will be fine... halo2 PC runs it pretty good at low settings

if you OC it, Make sure you have plenty of cooling, its a good OC card if you know what you are doing!
it will work with most PSUs250W and above.

I had the best perfomance using these PC specs:

AMD Sempron 3000+ @ 1.8GHz
2GB DDR2 ram
500W PSU

use alot of Chassis fans (sufficient airflow) THIS CARD CAN RUN HOT if not carefull.... but its ok
Stock cooling can be upgraded, personally i didnt change the GPU fan but I have more than enough airflow in my case

1 out of 5 eggsBad card

Pros: Price? Looks good in theory for an AGP card.

Cons: Card is flimsy and extremely lightweight. Received this card and installed it, updated drivers, etc... graphics were horribly fractured. Played with it for awhile, but never fixed the issue. Upon inspection inside the pc while running idle I discovered this card ran WAY TOO HOT! It literally burned me to touch it (still have the mark to prove it!) Called BFG, they said it sounded defective. RMA'd to Newegg with no problem. 2nd one came, SAME problems. Overheating, fractured graphics, etc. All around poorly manufactured card. RMA'd again (again with no probs, NE is the best!) and ordered something else instead.

Other Thoughts: Do not waste your money on this card, period!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Replaced a dead Radeon 9700 Pro in a Dimension 8250. Install was smooth, card works just fine. Specs said 300W power supply was needed, but works fine w/ Dell's stock 250W supply.

Cons: Benchmarked slower than the 9700 Pro (but kept an aging system alive and kicking).

5 out of 5 eggsBFG 7300GT replaces PNY FX5200

Pros: My daughter does Sims3 and complained of lagging. Not's fast. This is a late life kicker for aged AGP ASUS mb running XP. Could have gotten more perf/$ with PCI-E card but this appears to push the envelop for AGP. I had to beef up pw supply, now 400W. Box says DirectX 10 support(?). Need to run 3DMark03 and 3DMark06 for comparison to other similar systems. Visually sailed thru '03 benchmark. 8 pipelines, 512M GDDR...nice.

Cons: None really. The fan was noisy after install but went quite in 45 minutes. I got the new pw supply for $9.99 aft MIR but needed a $7.99 adapter for mb connector (orig. 20 pin, new 24). < Pw supply connects to card via standard 4pin power.>

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless XP install and Operation

Pros: Installed easily using the driver CD in XP. Has a fan. Video, pics and web pages load faster and more smoothly. This is not a huge jump forward gear-wise, just something to keep a P4 2.8 (Asus P4P800-DX MB) system somewhat current. Temps stay around the 54-55C range per the Nvidia control panel in Win2K with a few web pages and files open. This is in a cool, well-ventilated room. My best guess is the XP temps are a few degrees higher. Noise level is about the same as my FX 5200. I mean I don't notice any difference, nothing worth commenting on, and I can't say I notice ANY noise from it at all above the typical processor fan and other fan/HD noise.

Cons: None for me so far.

Other Thoughts: I dual boot Win2K and WinXP, nothing fancy, no gaming, just a biz/music machine. I installed the XP side with the CD that came with the card but I had to use the Nvidia 94.24 Forceware from Nvidia site in Win2K. The card functioned with the supplied CD drivers in 2K but it wouldn't install the Nvidia control panel. I have to say that Nvidia has a far superior driver and support area to any of the other guys, especially XFX, in my opinion. It also appears that Nvidia has just updated the driver package for this card for Win XP: 197.13 WHQL Release Date: 2010.03.25. I'll have to see how those drivers compare to the CD ones, probably a nice improvement. For now though, in both of my boots, 2K and XP, I am an extremely happy camper. And it's rare that I make that statement.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: In writing this card appears to be a nice piece of hardware for the price.

Cons: In application, this card is total junk! In the process of RMA'ing my SECOND one of these in 2 weeks. It runs so hot, no matter how well the PC is cooled, that it cannot function properly. This is a poorly made card, period! Don't waste the money.

Other Thoughts: On the upside, Newegg is the best! The RMA'd the first one for replacement with no problem... and were awesome about returning the second and waving the restocking fee! I have been a loyal customer of Newegg's for nearly 10 years and have nothing but great things to say about them as a company. Too bad I can't say the same about BFG....

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Card runs great, as described. Nice AGP card for older computers

Cons: Card was bought to run Sims 3 on an older PC. Card reaches higher temperatures, causing some artifacts.

2 out of 5 eggsDead card

Pros: Cant really test that since it wont work

Cons: Dead when tried to plug in

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this shows bad quality on the brand or the Fry's(not sure if I can name stores) where I bought it, it was open box so I thought "hey I can save a few bucks" well I should have known better. D/L the correct drivers from nVidia and it wouldnt even come on, the first screen was fuzzy but some cards are like that before you mess with them. After I took it out it was apparent what the problem was, the heat sink was hot to the touch, this was after it was installed with less that 5 mins run time, the 6800 I took out wasnt this hot and it had been on all day. I will return it tomorrow to see if a fresh one will be better, its a shame because I have had really good luck with BFG, my 6800 was made by BFG and it has been a workhorse.
