5 out of 5 eggsStill working!

Pros: Great peformance in gaming the last couple of years depending on the rest of your setup.

For the price this thing was, you couldn't go wrong with the performance.

Could handle most games over 30 fps, except for a few exceptions such as Crysis 2, Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, Assassin's Creed III, etc.

Low Power consumption. No need for an extra rail pin connector.

Cons: Runs up to 70c in a pretty cold room if you don't manually override the fan speed in the Nvidia control panel to about 65-75%

Due to being an eco card, and not having any extra power pin connectors, you cannot overclock this card. I tried it slightly (by about 10 mhz) and I got black screening in games.

Other Thoughts: Had this in a computer for almost 4 years now, it's in the one I'm typing this on as I speak, and it's still performing just like it did on day one.

Been using it with an Antec Earthwatts EA650 650 Watt power supply all these years which guarantees to deliver stable energy to all components. Maybe that helped me?

5 out of 5 eggsOne awesome piece of hardware.

Pros: Very powerful card to run dual monitors on a Windows 7 HTPC w/Windows Media Center. This baby rocks! I'm not a gamer and only use my HTPC as a PVR & entertainment center.

Cons: None. It has been running like a certified champ for more than 3 years.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks great for a little while

Pros: It ran good for maybe a year at the most

Cons: It begins to run hotter and slower after about a year to 18 months

Other Thoughts: I bought this card almost 2 years ago, so I could run a game that I got for christmas. I originally put it in a Dell Dimension 5150, Pentium 4 Processor, Single core, 2.4GHz. I bought it for $150 from Dell, and realized the thing is only worth like 90 bucks. Problem 1 starts right there. It may have said low power, but it ended up frying the PSU in that computer, and we have since bought a new one. That was 6 months ago. I took the card out, got it tested, and it still was OK to use. I put it in my Gaming Computer that I built, and it worked great for about a month. That was when things really went downhill. It would run close to 80 Degrees C, and it would not even run the game I originally bought it for. The Game required at least a 128MB card, this is a 1GB. I used to be able to play FSX on Ultra Graphics, but now I can barely run it on low. This is not a processor issue, I have a 3.2 GHz Dual core in my system. I ran a benchmark today, and it ran 6FPS and it hit 100C. Thats boiling.

1 out of 5 eggsThis sucks!

Pros: Ran perfect for almost one year. I liked the performance when it did work...

Cons: When it goes out at first signs thought it was the motherboard and sent that to ASUS to find out there was nothing wrong with the board. The reason I thought it was defective that way was that my network was not working when connected and when I removed this system it works. Next I removed the defective card and it ran fine for about the next two weeks on just the single card, then that card went down. have tried to do the warranty online with no success as the web page: comes up with this message "The BFG Tech STORE is inaccessible temporarily. Please try again later. Thank you !" I have also tried calling the the following numbers:

Phone: (847) 281-3110
Technical Support: 1-866-BFG-FIXX (234-3499)

On the first one I get just s short like busy signal and on the second one no answer and it just keeps ringing.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy another BFG product again as now I am having a hard time finding replacement cards and that does not even include coming up with the money to replace them! Forgot the old saying that a Lifetime Warranty is only as good as the company that stands by it! Why does Newegg not allow lower than one egg?

1 out of 5 eggsDied Young

Pros: Worked great right out of the box. Easy istall and very quiet.

Cons: Died after 6 months of moderate to basic use. Fan problem with overheating = permanent power saver mode. Also BFG is "getting out of the graphics card business", which means very slow tech support, delays on getting a refurbished replacement for your broken card (that's right, I said refurbished) and a general lack or caring from their tech staff.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: its a great card if your not a hardcore gamer. Its good for WoW and older games that dont require much video juice.

Cons: not good for newer games. doesnt stay very cool unless on a 60% fan load.

Other Thoughts: buy if u dont want to invest much.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, Long Term?

Pros: It runs fast, quiet and it can handle a moderate OC. Overall the card I received was great.

Cons: Considering BFG just canned their entire GPU business I am pretty sure they will not honor the warranty you buy with the card. I found this out after my purchase and well, it sucks. I would buy a different manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: Quality is on par, warranty is non-exsistant within 6 months or so.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet card

Pros: Upgraded from a 8600gs,WEI went up to 6.8,games run very smoothly even on high detail settings, very quiet fan.
No problems running on Windows 7 64 bit.

Cons: There are other places where you can get this card for less.

Other Thoughts: Wish I've gotten one sooner.

5 out of 5 eggsMy First Video Card

Pros: A good upgrade for people who does not want to upgrade their power supply and for those who have a low budget. I bought this for my HP computer. The card was very easy to install for Windows 7 and its very quiet. Its my first video card, so I can't say much about this. But I am very satisfied. I play a lot of games, but nothing hardcore, wc3. sc2, d2, css. I can max settings and still have high frame rates.

Cons: The card runs very Hot! even when idle. The card idles at 60C. under stress it can go up to 64C. Its the hottest thing in my rig. I had to rearrange the wires and tie them up so that they don't touch this Hot card. But I guess you get what you buy.

Other Thoughts: I have been comparing prices of video cards for a while and one weekend this card happened to be 85$ with a 10$ rebate. I didnt want to spend too much for a upgrade, so I bought this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT!!!

Pros: No heat problems. No fan problems. Runs very silent and normal like any other card. If a problem is encountered in one of those areas it's because of the user or the card came in faulty. There are no problems from this card! WORKS GREAT!

Cons: None
