5 out of 5 eggsRMA

Pros: Great card, great price, definately a lot of bang for the buck. Great RMA service if you are unfortunate enough to have to resort to it.

Cons: The card worked beautifully, but when I play any game it would randomly freeze my game. I had it RMA-ed back to BFG tech and received my new card, but I got the same problem. I had to RMA it again.

Other Thoughts: The technician I spoke with stayed on the line with me patiently for 45 mins as I installed older drivers and checked other settings. In the end, he set up an Advance RMA so I can get my card before sending it out, and will give me a prepurchased shipping label so I wont have to pay shipping. Great service and tech support, but I got nailed with a faulty card twice but it was extremely unlucky. I have many BFG products and this is the first time I have had this happen, and I am still very satisfied with their product. If you worry about warrentys and service, go BFG tech!

5 out of 5 eggsReally good card for the $$$

Pros: Great with all my games, makes my 8800 gts feel a bit slow, awesome on crysis, awesome on F.E.A.R 2, yet running on a dual core am3 3.0, 2 2gb ddr2 800 OZC. plus its got Duel view features for multieple moniter outputs.

Cons: big, but thats ok

5 out of 5 eggsAs Expected

Pros: From the get go, the card impressed me. BFG has lots of great products for a higher ticket price, but this one packs a lot of bang in such a low price. After buying it, all games run at full gfx @1900 x 1250 on my 24'' monitor. However there was only one problem to which I may be the only one affected by it.

Cons: When I installed the card, it would work very well but would randomly freeze in the middle of any game I tried. Possibly overheating ( but it would occur at low graphics as well ), but my guess would be something with the memory. Sometimes my Ventrilo ( VOIP ) would run, and I could communicated to friends + teammates while frozen, but nothing I could do to close the game would work ( Alt+tab, Ctrl+alt+del, windows+D, etc. ). Other times, the entire PC would freeze, complete with the skipping audio loop.

Other Thoughts: Do not let my experience hinder your decision to purchase BFG tech. I only mention this RMA because BFG tech has superlative service and returns RMAs at a reasonable pace ( 1 week usually ) . I have bought BFG for a few years now, and I recommend it to all my friends.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card Great Value

Pros: Straight forward install, ie, put it in the slot and connect the power. I'm running Windows 7 and the Windows Experience Index returns a 7.0 out of 7.9 for both Desktop graphics and gaming graphics. This is with ONE card. I'll probably still get another one for SLI just because I can.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The new Batman game runs perfectly at max settings. And this is just one card.

I'm not a gamer, though, and am looking forward to the one gig of graphics RAM for all the image and video processing I do.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: straightforward, normal install. working as described. website fairly clear.

Cons: louder than my previous card (8800GTS Superclocked 640MB) although still quiet. byzantine rebate process (presumably by design).

Other Thoughts: instructions said to remove my existing driver before installing the new card, but i bought the new card because my old one failed in such a way that i could not see anything on my computer in order to perform any kind of action like uninstalling a driver. i installed the card anyway, then performed a clean, updated driver install without incident, but it would have been nice to have some indication of how to proceed ahead of time for peace of mind.

5 out of 5 eggsBFG GTS 1GB 250GTS - AWESOME !!!

Pros: Comes with all leads necessary, 1 less power lead required than the 9800 GTX and about an inch smaller.
Although it's a 9800GTX repacked and renamed, these small changes in it make it worthwhile. Upgraded from the 8600GT on my wifes Dual Core and see INCREDIBLE improvement in games. An Excellent buy ay an excellent price. You can't go wrong with Nvidia.

Cons: High power requirement on the 12v Rail, but Hey ! thats the standard nowadays. Had to upgrade my wifes powerpack aswell to cope with this badboy !

Other Thoughts: Wow and Age of Conan ran 17fps all low settings ish on my wifes 2GB Dual Core with an 8600 GT. Banged this monster in, now runs 1400 x 900 Widescreen, FULL settings on everything except shadows .. and kicking out about 37fps under load in cities etc.

BOOOYA ! LUV IT ! well my wife does ..... maybe she'll let me get an upgrade soon *sniff

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: I bought this card after looking for something powerful and cheap, and this card is both. This card can run COD 4 and COD WAW at full graphics.

Cons: The card is big which to me is no big deal but for someone with a smaller case might have trouble squeezing it in depending on what else you already have set up.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful in Ubuntu

Pros: Reasonable price, good proprietary driver from nVidia, Pretty quiet when compared to other case fans, and it seems to run cool but I haven't ran anything through Wine yet to truly test it.

Cons: Didn't come with a DVI to HDMI adapter or the SDPIF adapter to get sound over HDMI. Nothing to dock eggs for though.

Other Thoughts: Bought this card as an upgrade over the ATI HD 4350 because it was having some screen tear issues with Compiz and if I had a video playing and I rotated the cube it would get very choppy. Needless to say I don't have these problems at all anymore.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: runs all my games maxed out, i seem to not have heating problem but i could see some with small cases. counter strike runs a good 200 fps 1600x900 16xAA maxed so im happy, its a great card for the money

Cons: I think it is a bad card it runs 100% but it will crash the card once in a while like it has done it 2 times within 2 weeks so i dunno im going to RMA to be safe, the issue could also be my motherboard with 2 bad ram slots so who knows i will RMA and hope it will be good.

Other Thoughts: its a wonder card it makes GTA 4 purr maxed with about 48 fps. and fallout and crysis are a dream, im sad i may have a bad card but at the same time its the greatest gpu i have ever owned. runs 100% just 2 times it went black, any ideas anyone?
