4 out of 5 eggsGood investment

Pros: Shipping with Newegg is always fast for us. We have some older computers in our office that needed upgraded video cards for a dual-monitor set-up. A previous review stated could not run dual-monitor, that is not true. I have this card in two computers, each with dual monitors and one computer with three monitors. You just have to know how to configure them.

Cons: Not really a con, but I forgot to print out the rebate form when I originally ordered and the forms are no longer available.

Other Thoughts: We use this for strictly a business setting, but run up to 10 programs simultaneously and have had no lag or other issues.

4 out of 5 eggsFX 5200 isn't as bad as some say

Pros: Very cheap card. If you're looking to get a boost in performance in some older games and you only have a motherboard with PCI expansion slots, look into this card. Combine with the right set of drivers, you can make this card fly on certain games. I couldn't get it to run HL2, GMod and other source engine games. Doesn't seem to be able to handle it. But so far this card is excellent for games like Battlefield 1942, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and many other games from that time period!

bf1942 = 50 - 60 Average. 1280x960

Desert Combat Final = 30 - 60. 1280x960

GTA Vice city = 30 - 60. 1280x1024 Depending on how your system handles Vsync/Frame Limiter. Had Draw distance at max and this game still ran beautifully.

Here's what really impressed me...
Far Cry = 30 - 50. 1024x748. Windowed mode

If you experiment with drivers, you can get some great performance out of the card. I'm going to start playing WoW again, and I'm looking forward to some decent performan

Cons: PCI. Seems to hate the Source Engine. Typical old video card, but again, not everyone is rich and can afford a $1000 PC. :)

Other Thoughts: My main Specs used for the games mentioned above.
Pentium 4 3.06GHz HT.

NVidia GeForce FX 5200. (Forceware Drivers 56.64)

2936MB of RAM. It's really 3072, as my BIOS states, but my system may be stealing a small amount of it, no big deal. Even if it was 3072MB, I would not see any difference.

I'm not done seeing what this card will do, when I come across more old but interesting games, I'll try them out! Might see how Counter-Strike handles with this card.

Shipping - I ran out of area in the Pros, so I'll put it here.
The parts we ordered around Monday, afternoon, and arrived on Wednesday shortly after noon, very speedy processing and delivery. :)

4 out of 5 eggsAllowed for TRIPLE monitor setup

Pros: Not sure if anyone else has noticed but I'm able to use three monitors with this card installed in my Dell Dimension 330. Two on the card, and the onboard continue to work also. Wasn't expecting this. Definitely a plus. No complaints on the card for an older system... works fine with Vista. Slow at some points... flawless on XP.

Cons: Had it over a month now. none so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNot exactly what I thought

Pros: The card was purchased to allow me to run two monitors, which I am able to do now.

Cons: I was under the impression that the card supported dual monitors, which it seems was not the case. After much tweaking, It looks as if the DVI and VGA ports are just a "single" output, and cannot be used at the same time with 2 monitors.

I ended up using the original onboard VGA out for the 2nd monitor, which worked.

Other Thoughts: I wasnt looking for anything to run games, etc. Just needed a second monitor attachment.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap with rebate, good for non gaming.

Cons: The driver CD does not work. Download the driver directly from nvidia. Throw away the cd. And forget about contacting chaintech by email-my reply from them took 5 days.

Other Thoughts: After trying the driver cd which froze my pc, I attempted to download the driver directly from chaintech's website-
the download was listed as 70mb and the estimated time was 8 hours!!!! I tried downloading from other pc's with different ISPs and got the same estimate. Went to NVidia website and got the driver in 3 minutes. Worked perfectly, chaintech uses the same files but adds languages to their driver. Didnt see that great of an improvement from my pc's inbedded intel graphics in XP, but at least the card has a dvi output so the colors are slightly better. In Vista didnt see much change at all.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: works fine in an old Dell Optiplex GX110. before this,
I tried a PCI video card with a Radeon 9200,
and I couldn't get it to work.

inexpensive, for a video card that supports DirectX 9.

Cons: none that I encountered yet.

Other Thoughts: newegg's description doesn't mention this, but the box says "Requires 250W power supply". My GX110 has a 200W power supply. this card seems to be working fine anyway, but I haven't stressed it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Price with Rebates

Pros: Best graphic card works perfectly on my "R/C Flight Simulator G3.5." Card is PCI compliant. Delivers great video performance, applications from 3D games to DVD and other devices. Excellent customer service. Got a quick response in the mail.

Cons: I was expecting exactly the same items, but, the blue driver CD and users manual featured on the item page is not the same I received in the box. I got a green driver card and a quick-reference-guide instead of a users manual. (refer item page back in July 2008)

I have to make my quick decision in ordering this item so I can get rebate expiring on July 15, 2008.

Other Thoughts: I was able to properly install graphic card in less than 30 minutes. Quick-reference-guide is real quicky. Noise generated by cooling fan is not big deal. Any moving parts creates noise.

The quick-reference-guide I received should be the user manual. I tried the green driver card software as advised by Cust Service and it all works fine. Thanks for your assistance.

I've been wanting to upgrade my computer and found is the best place. Ive purchased a lot of items and had no problem. Customer service response time is quick.

I dont know much about PCI, PCI express and AGPs but at I was able to figure out my buying decisions simply using their links. I like the item page you can verify the pictures. Its really helpful to be able to see what the items look like.

Being able to zoom-in the pictures and say for example count the number of connectors or pins, or verify switch and mountings. These gives you more confidence to order on-line.
