Pros: Well, I wanted a video card with a passive heat sink because the old card was starting to sound like a diesel engine. It was bliss after the computer got so much quiter. And I'm not much of a gamer, but it ran Halo with all options turned on without a hitch. It all I needed, and I'm happy with it.

Cons: It does get hot. But I haven't experienced any errors or crashes as a result. Time will tell.

Great punch for the price

Pros: Quiet (of course) because there are no moving parts. This card should suit any casual to moderate gamer adequately. The toughest game that I've thrown at it so far is Quake 4, and it runs without the slightest hiccup. I can't speak for other more gpu-intensive games above and beyond Q4, but personally I'm very pleased so far.

Cons: This was not an issue for my build personally, but be aware that the GPU cooling fins extend above and around the back of the card a few centimeters. Newegg's product photos do show this clearly.

Pros: It worked.

Cons: Didn't get what was advertised.

1) The cards memory is suppose to run at 800MHz, however it is only clocked to 533MHz.

2) The card is suppose to have 32 Stream Processors, but it only shows 16. (Verified in the Nvidia control panel as well as gpu-z). Tried several different drivers and it always shows 16 SP.

Other Thoughts: Nvidia states the 8600GT has 32 SP. Seems like maybe Chaintech has intentionally crippled this card. I have found another person online that reports the same finding with his card as well.
