5 out of 5 eggsYeah!

Pros: Awesome graphics! I can play crysis on medium, rome total war on max settings, unreal 2004 on max, Supreme commander (both games) on max, WoW on max..
This is an awesome video card.
No problems as of yet.

Cons: The only con I can think of, which would probably be the rebate,
is that when you order this it takes 3 BUSINESS days to send it, and it takes 3-7 additional days from when you send it to get your rebate check.
The rebate check.. by the time you send your request for a rebate check, it's expired. What a load.

Other Thoughts: Been rocking this since november of 2007.
No video problems thusfar, I'm very lucky...
This thing is a power hog...
I had a 500W power supply for this because I figured it'd be enough- BIG mistake.
If you're going to rock this with over $1000 worth of parts, get yourself a PC power & cooling powersupply for $150, 750W. This thing is a power hog.
750W has 5 years warranty, and it can power 2 dual 8800 GTS or X even.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs beautifully! Using stock cooling and 2 small case fans and it runs cool.

Cons: Sidescrolling in Empire Earth doesn't seem to work correctly with this video card... but it could be something else... I haven't yet determined the exact cause.

Other Thoughts: Using a 700W PSU for this. Might be overkill but it works.

XFX is the best!

4 out of 5 eggsWatch out for 1st & last days in rebates!

Pros: good hardware as usual.

Cons: Everyone beware that XFX is now not honoring any rebates probably on the first or last day of the rebate {which is how they repaid my loyal business}, and many other companies will probably be doing the same now to save money in this depressed enviornment. They see it as a loophole or a matter of interpretation. I hate rebates with a passion and now I only use them when their is no other option, and I consider them at half value when comparing prices because that is about the odds of collecting. I had been a loyal customer for years and had 7 XFX video cards in a row at more than
$2000. It wasn't the $20-40 rebate, it was their attitude that I will only buy from other companies from now on. Adios XFX!!! Thanks Newegg for allowing me this opportunity to warn others of this potential threat!!!

Other Thoughts: Maybe I expect to much?

5 out of 5 eggsthe one to get

Pros: this card performs to every expectation. i can run all my video games on very high graphics and the software comes with a neat application controlled graphics monitoring for most modern applications. combined with my 24" hanns G HG216D, i get unbelievable quality and performance.

Cons: bought this card nearly a year ago and the price has changed by 10$. would reccomend that if you really want this card, go to a convention of some sort where u can work out a deal. the card itself is very large and with a mid-tower case, you cannot SLI because there is no room. any DVI-hdmi converter will not work well with this card on XP, but have yet to try it with vista. it heats up to around 33-37 celcius when its working hard so i had to get graphics card fan that only cost around 4$.

Other Thoughts: CS source runs just under 300fps on everything high as well as WoW can only go as clear and vivid as the game can make it. team fortress 2 runs on recommended graphics at about 70-150fps and the rest depends on your internet speed. love it so far and plan to SLI in the future.

Cons: Absolutly none.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: Great graphics card. Hasn't let me down. only con is it heats up like heck. (Entire system idles at about 35 degrees celsius, and when i'm running crysis which is a very high end game, at medium graphics and 1280x1024 resolution, about 40-50 degrees celsius.. depends how long ive been running the entire system in one go for that day)
My specs are: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard, 8800 GTS video card XFX, 550W power supply, 250GB harddrive, 4GB DDR2 800 RAM (g.skill is the best!), AMD ATHLON dual core 3.0GHZ processors and 4 120mm fans (no watercool needed so far..).
This video card isn't the best of the best but its definitely worth considering!!!

Cons: Will not work with some recent games (and unfortunately it's too powerful to play games like NOX which is from the year 2000, and Unreal 2: The awakening...) like splinter cell double agent. Spent 30 minutes dealing with the in-game options, toying with them because I was getting these f*$*ed up shadows in my game where I would be swimming and the "shadows" would be coming out of the water.... I turned anti-aliasing onto 4x and it helped fix it but not completely..

Other Thoughts: if you're going to get any cards from the 8000 series to play games like SCDA, beware: Ubisoft has VERY BAD customer service (Waded through so much trash on their site.. I got 1.1 and 1.2 patches and it didnt fix SQUAT...), they released a piece of sh-- game (makes me wonder how it got an 8.0 on gamespot), and theres almost NO WAY to freaking contact them on this issue.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocked a factory overclocked board

Pros: Overclocked to 680/1625/980 with no heat issued or atifacts. Temps are 48 idle and 67 full load. Plays all games maxed out (CD4, Bioshock, BF2142, Timeshift, etc) no problems at 1680X1050.....

Cons: Crysis will play at medium settings at lower resolutions (below 1600X1200)

Other Thoughts: Great card until the 8800GT came to town.....I bought mine 28 days before the GT was released....OH WELL can't keep up with all the new hardware!

5 out of 5 eggsI WANT ONE MORE!!

Pros: This card rocks! Super fast in high res, beautiful shading.

Other Thoughts: My first XFX card was the 8500GT, and i wanted a dvi to component adapter, i called, then two days later i had one in the mail.
Previously i had said that i would NEVER pay $300 for a vid card, but XFX's customer service won me over. theei warranty(double lifetime-transferrable) is second only to EVGA (they have trade up) which would be nice, NOW THAT THESE CARDS ARE OUT OF STOCK!
