5 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: this card is a great card if you fun a cool system. i've had this card for about 7mo and it has never let me down. it plays everything and its runs smooth it doesnt even get hot to the touch maybe i just got a well built card.

Cons: well none. the only thing i can think of is that it does not support DX10 but who cares when all the nice games that are out run well with it.

Other Thoughts: i think the cpu and motherboard make a change things the board i have is not so good but it does the job and its not an SLI board when i get a new one ill update on the diffrences

4 out of 5 eggsImpressed!

Pros: Quiet and has the same image quality as my 7900GTX. Fits a Lian-Li PC-V300 case. Dual-DVI. Supports dual-link DVI at 2560x1600!

Cons: Can't think of any cons.

Other Thoughts: After getting this card, I considered purchasing a 30" LCD. I assumed that this card wouldn't support 2560x1600, but to my surprise, it does! I wrote this review because I don't believe anyone has mentioned that. Very nice! (but untested as of now) Also, I have a separate gaming machine and am troubled with the idea of complaints about heat while gaming with a fanless 7600GS. Mine (mostly 2D) stays at about 55C in a small, low-fan pressure case. 3DMark03 can send it to 63C max.

5 out of 5 eggsCard X-tremely hot

Pros: I have been with Newegg for many years and service is always great. The video card renders a beautiful picture in Vanguard. Runs the OS excellently.

Cons: At balanced settings playing Vanguard, the card runs at 145 hot. At High performance it runs in the 170s. Minor clipage in frames.

Other Thoughts: If you dont play games of this sort, its a good card. My system is not over clocked and has 4 120mm fans for ample cooling. The CPU remains cool but Heatsink on the gpu is what is running to the sun.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: quiet, excellent price, fast performance

Cons: poor video performance and no matter what I did, I cannot get the colour and brightness right for the video

Other Thoughts: even after the latest download from Nvidia, I still cannot get the right colour, I bought, I finally order ATI X1650 Pro and problem fixed.

Cons: non so far!

Other Thoughts: Not bad for the money! but I have yet to received the rebate for it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Seems to work. I haven't tested it much. I get very good frame rates (90) on Tremulous, which I believe is a variant of Quake 3.

Cons: Seems to be running warm (60C), but the heatsink doesn't get too bad. I haven't had any problems.

3 out of 5 eggsGot 2 of these cards in SLI

Pros: Slim cards, easy fit

Cons: Not up-to-date with current DirectX 10, No fans (had problems with PC freezing up), not fast enough for the money

Other Thoughts: Being that this is my first experience with SLi, I have decided on never paying for two cards again. It does NOT advance the processing speed, I was testing out Rainbow Six Vegas with 1 and 2 cards. It showed no difference, and did not run as fast as 512MB should. Go with the 8x series if you want good video speed. 256MB GDDR3 is much faster than my 2 7600GS cards in sli.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid, quiet

Pros: Two DVI connectors for twin head -- not using it yet but always like the flexibility should an extra monitor come my way. No fan, heatsink massive but not high profile.

Cons: Running a little warm, but the Antec P180 case I used has a little bit of a dead air spot here without a front fan (as shipped and as deployed.) It's OK for now but will bear watching when the weather heats up (the system's in an un-airconditioned room, but really hot days rare here.)

Other Thoughts: No experience of 3D performance. This is not a gaming-oriented machine, but I wanted a reasonably modern 3D engine in case we move to Vista in this system's lifespan. At the price, it's cheap future-proofing.
