5 out of 5 eggs8500 is good

Pros: After a month this card has served me well. I have played a few games on this card with great results. First...the system killer "Crysis" i have played through the whole game on medium settings no AA with no lag or hickups. Next i did COD4 again some setting on medium and some on high with great frame rate. The only game i had some trouble was Stalker. I ended up having to play at a lower resolution and lower setting and that kinda ruined the game playing quality.

Cons: None really ... it does get hot but its a fanless... a slot fan right next to it changed all that oh... and the low memory speed ...but...it not that bad of a problem

Other Thoughts: 2.4 ghz AMD - 2 GIG DDR - SATA HD

2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth it

Pros: Good Price - No Fan = quiet

Cons: UT3 barely runs at lowest resolution. 3DMark05 will not even run

Other Thoughts: Decent card for everyday use. Since my card was bad I couldn't really rate it for gaming.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good for the money

Pros: Inexpensive. Great for HDCP. Can play all of my video games well enough for me as a fairly casual gamer.

Cons: Card runs hot; 69 degrees Celsius when it's just sitting and up to 100 degrees in-game. Card occasionally locks up in gameplay (once every 25 hours of in-game activity or so), BUT this may be a game engine or driver issue and not the fault of the card.

Other Thoughts: This is not a card for the more serious of gamers, but for everyone else it's a great buy and I would recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsLook ma! No fans!

Pros: I was upgrading my system and needed to go from AGP to PCIe, and picked this guy. I love the fanless design. Fans fail. Fans fail often. I hate fans. Good performance, to boot.

Cons: NVidia's numbering scheme doesn't make it readily apparent which cards are more powerful. Afterwards I found on Tom's Hardware, that this was only a mild boost in performance to my old 6600. Also, when I first turned on the new system, I had no graphics. I turned it off, unseated the card, inspecting it for damage. I didn't find any problems so I reseated it, powered on and there was my screen. Little worried about that.

Other Thoughts: This is pretty nicely done for a middle-of-the road card, and has no fan to worry about. Yes the heatsink gets hot.. thats because it is pulling the heat away from the chips to radiate into the main case (make sure your case has good airflow). I've run a few newer things, such as UnrealT III Demo, and Bioshock demo with good performance. Plays all my old stuff just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsRobust

Pros: Robust. With some extra cooling it doesn't complain even at 700MHz. Easy to install a fan, comes with fan power connector.

Cons: No overclocking of the RAM, though. Doens't like it at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy!!!!

Pros: Driver install was a snap. No fan, very quite. Ran Flight Simulator 2004 @ 1440x900x32 with all the Graphics set to"Ultra High" and it ran with no hitches. I even thought the clouds were real, sunset etc. looked like real life flying. You can run two of these cards in SLI mode. What more could you ask for?

Cons: Haven't tested it with Flight Simulator X yet.

Other Thoughts: I don't know why some people had problems. I have a 2 year old Asus A8N-VM motherboard with 2GB RAM @ 400MHZ and I have no problems. The Temperature inside my case peaked @ 29 deg. C (84 deg. F), I have an Antec case with 2 exhaust fans. I guess people just lack the technical knowledge to configure their systems properly.

5 out of 5 eggsvery good card

Pros: Increased my Compiz-Fusion benchmark from 75fps (nvidia 6200) to now 650fps... 10x performance increase. Windows works fine... I don't play games.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: very very good for the money... especially if you are using Ubuntu.

3 out of 5 eggsAverage Graphics Card

Pros: A good graphics card for a a great price.

Cons: Most new games require better graphics cards such as Crysis, Need For Speed Pro Street, Time-Shift. With this card you can only play at maximum level of detail on a 800 x 600 or play at medium detail at 1024 resolution.

Other Thoughts: don't bother getting this, get a 8800 gts. This is ancient technology compared to it lol.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!!

Pros: This card installed with no problems, Vista automatically recognized settings to maximum display. Plays everything I have thrown at it!!! If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on the 8800, this is the card for you. No fan makes it nice and quite, and temps are great!!!

Cons: It's not an 8800, but it's as good as it gets without breaking the bank! No problems what so ever!!!

Other Thoughts: People keep saying it's not a gamers card, when they should just say it's not an 8800!
