5 out of 5 eggsFollow up

Pros: I got my card back from warranty, and installed it on my C2D system @ 3.3Ghz. With 2GB of RAM, I can run Crysis at mostly high settings; shadows and water at medium, and it only drops below 30 during large firefights and explosions. Plus, the "auto" fan control keeps the card completely silent, while also keeping at at or below 60 degrees.

Cons: Single slot cooler, puts heat back into the case. I got a slot fan to fix this.

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent card. Out of the box, overclocked to 730/1740/2000. Runs Crysis @ med/high, CoD4 campaign at max settings max AA/AF, multiplayer at max settings without AA/AF, lags a bit with it. CSS 16xQCSAA/16AF. Gmod 16xQCSAA/16AF + max settings, only slows down with hundreds of explosive barrels.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very fast card...blows away my old 7800GT..single slot cooling saves space..will run anything not names Crysis at high settigns and laugh...overclocks decently

Cons: Cooler isnt the best and the fan is a little loud

Other Thoughts: People saying to not get this card because of only 256MB of ram are overblowing it. If your plan on running 4X AA at 1920..then go with the 512MB...otherwise this card does the job

5 out of 5 eggsA+ Card

Pros: PCI Express 2.0

Cons: Had a video driver problem with this card on my motherboard - the Asus Maximus Extreme with Corsair DDR3 1800 Dominator Memory, I had to underclock the memory in the Motherboards bios to 1600 to make the driver stop crashing.

Other Thoughts: I need 1 more.

4 out of 5 eggsAlright card.

Pros: I installed this on a board with a 4200+. Immediately overlocked it to 730/1900/1100. Flies in all games, CoD, Crysis, CSS with 16xQ CSAA.

Cons: It died before I could try it with my new Core 2. If it hadn't, I would have given it 5 eggs. Gotta get the warranty from XFX; already sent in the UPC for the rebate. x.x

Other Thoughts: Fast card, just died on me.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent boost from eVGA 7900GT CO OC

Pros: Single slot card doesn't take up all the space in your case. Uses 6-pin PCIe power.

Cons: Fan is loud. I'm most likely going to replace the stock cooler as it's far too loud for my system (2 120mm & Zalman 7700 on Vantec Nexus in Antec P160 yields a super-quiet gaming rig - most people don't realize it's running). Comes with Lost Planet (useless XBox Port)

Other Thoughts: I thought I purchased the 512MB version (I didn't :( ). Too lazy to RMA :)

5 out of 5 eggsKILLER

Pros: This card is Awsome !!! Got it for the wifes new rig. AMD 5200x2, 2 gbs ram, Asus M2NE, runs UT3 with all settings on high, maxed out frames , just can't slow it down. Saving my pennies so I can get one, or maybe a 512mg one. Totally outruns my 7900GT. Newegg is The Best ! Customer support and shipping is #1. We've been with NewEgg for years, and will stay !!!

Cons: I don't have one yet !

4 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Time with the 8600 Series

Pros: I had a new system built with a PCI-e motherboard. Did not know anything about the video cards. Took the store person's recommendation and purchased an 8600 GT. Knew within a short period of time, it was not much better than the 7600 GT card in my AGP machine. Did my research and started to go for the 3850 ATI, but spotted an article on the 8800GT. All the reviews were favorable. Result is it improved my favorite game, flight simulator X tremendously. I can consistently hold 50 fps with the 8800. The 8600 barely held 20 fps. FS X is a video processor hog and this card let me push the graphics 'almost' to the limits.

Cons: The card is huge, but fortunately I checked the space in my case before buying it. Other reviewers gave that tip.

Other Thoughts: If you are about spend even $150 for and 8600 GT, forget about it. Go spend the extra $50 or more for the 8800 GT. Believe me, it will be worth it!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for 1280x1024 or 1440x900

Pros: This is the best card for the money when gaming at 1280x1024 or 1440x900. Will play Crysis on high at either of those and stay around 28fps, which is compleatly playable for Crysis. Everything else is maxed out, GOW, COD4, Lost Planet, COH. If you have a lower res monitor, this is your best bet.

Cons: Card is really long. I have a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 and it compleatly covers the southbridge heat sink. Not really a problem, but if you have a small case, it might not fit. Fan is loud at 75% and up.

Other Thoughts: This outperforms both the 3850 and 3870. This XXX ver comes with a specail heat sink draws the heat towards the top of the card. Mine hasnt gone over 61C once with the fan set to 60%.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price/preformance

Pros: It's a pretty powerful card for the price and could probably be worth more. Extraordinary frame rates in Battlefield 2142, CoD2, Supreme commander, and Eve Online with the new Trinity 2.0 engine enabled.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Including lost planet was nice.
