5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: What can I say, I love almost everything about this card. I was just thinking how it could have been better with a component output, but then I remembered they include an adapter! Then I was thinking that they sould have gone with a DVI and a VGA port, then I remembered that they include 2(!) DVI-VGA adapters! Oh, yeah, and they also include a power adapter too!

Great job XFX! You thought of everything!

Cons: The fan is loud. Extremely loud.

Other Thoughts: Combine with a fan controller like a Ultra LED Fan Controller, and you're good to go.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Sli

Pros: Runs COD4 and COD WW on all high settings (Dual video cards). Shipping was fast!! Thanks NewEgg!!

Cons: Runs very hot!! I have this card as my 2nd card in sli and it is currently running 143'F with the fan running 100%. My slot 1 card (BFG 8800GT OC) is running at 130'F with fan set at 100%.

Other Thoughts: A better cooling system would of been better. but for the price you cant beat it!!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Hey, this card is amazing, I have not had any problems with it. This is my second card, and I cannot wait to set it up with SLI when I get the money for an SLI motherboard.

This card will run anything that you throw at it, and even in Crysis (v1.2) I get great frame rates on High Settings at 1280x720 (720p). You could probably raise the resolution and still get great fps.

If you want to play all the latest games, but do not want to spend the money on 400$ video cards in order to do it, I definitely suggest this card. This card will run EVERYTHING, such as Call of Duty: World at War, or Left For Dead maxed out without a hitch, extremely playable, which shows that you do not need an extreme video card to play the latest games, only for Crysis maxed out)

Cons: Gets HOT, and this is not an understatement. It is 60c idle and 90c at full load.

The stock speed on the fan is set at 30%, so you can raise the speed to keep it cool. At ~55-60% you can start to hear the fan, but if you run the fan at 100%, then it is loud, but very cool (~20degrees cooler).

Use the nVidia control panel (comes with the drivers) in order to change the speed of the fans, as well as over clock it.

Other Thoughts: Overclocking this does not have significant effects on fps, but does seem to make the games look smoother because it can process more.

At 700/1650/2000 stable (from 600/1500/1800), I only got an increase of about 1-3 fps depending on the game, but like I said earlier, it will make the picture look a little nicer.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellant When hooked up right

Pros: This is a very quiet running videocard contreary to what others are saying I can't even tell if my computer is running it is so quiet. If connected right it is very quiet. You have to remember to hook the card up to your power supply or you will get a very high loud pitch or squealing like I did the 1st time I hooked it up lol. Just remember to hook up power supply and you will see that it is quiet.:) at least it is for me

Cons: No cons on my end have always loved nvidia and it still holds true to its name.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck!

Pros: Plays all my games (Orange Box, WAR, DoW, WoW, etc) with max settings at 1920x1200 (24in monitor) with no less than 40 fps, with an occasional hiccup to 20fps or so. I know 40 isn't the best fps but hey it's a midrange card for less than $200 on a 24' screen! Can't really complain, especially when I get SLI.

Cons: Hot enough to cook an egg...literally. This thing regularly hits 95*c just by looking at ATItool's rendering window. When you get this card, buy a 3rd party cooler...or risk melting your card.

Also, it barely squeezes into my mid tower case. I couldn't put HDD's in level with the card because the power cables block the spot. If you want some space to work, you may want a full tower - or GIGABYTE's smaller 8800GT card, which Newegg doesn't sell (for some reason). You could also find some 90*-bend power plugs, but I'm lazy and don't want to buy more things for simple solutions...

Other Thoughts: Kinda wish I went with a different brand, there's some 8800GT's that are cheaper than this one. But that's not really a knock on the card itself. I wanted GIGABYTE's 8800GT, it's about 1.5 inches shorter and comes with a Zalman cooler for about the same price as this one (or get the 256mb one for only $99 last time I saw it). Dunno where you'll find it, I haven't looked hard but I know Newegg is cutting back it's 8 series listing.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price. Can play Warhammer Online on full settings at 1440 (dial it back a bit in heavy RVR). Comes with alot of adapters, most everything you'd need.

Cons: The fan physically hit the heatsink cover and produced a very obnoxious grating sound. I had to loosen some of the screws on the cover (and bend it a bit) so that it didn't grind against it. After that I couldnt single it out from my other case fans anymore.

Other Thoughts: With the rebate this was a good deal I thought.

4 out of 5 eggsEVGA makes good stuff

Pros: Fast, reliable. EVGA guarantees their stuff for a long time. Even after warranty might have expired. EVGA has always been cool like that!

Cons: Not worth it presently. Because you can buy a 9800 GT with higher clock ratings for about the same amount of money or maybe $20 and that is the better buy !!!

Other Thoughts: I always buy either EVGA, BFG or XFX because they have always been cool with defects, broken items or replacement during and after warranty periods !

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This card is great as far a performance goes. Plays Cod4 90fps 1024x with all the eye candy and 30fps 1600x1200 with all the effects

Cons: Runs much hotter(90C load) than my evga version(58C load) did, very loud, only fan you can hear from my system

Other Thoughts: provbably wont buy another Xfx. This time im going ATI!!!
