5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great card, purchased this in July of 2008 and its been running great ever since... granted with newer games ive not be able to push the quality up as high as id liked, but still its been a great card. Within the past month or so this cards been showing its age, in the form of freezing and artifacts.

Cons: Non, was a great buy, I recently purchased a Galaxy 780 HOF and that will be replacing the 9800 I have now.

5 out of 5 eggsXFX

Pros: The product description sums it up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card back in August 2008 and so far no issues, no artifacts, and still running strong today at consistent temperatures. I've even overclocked several times moderately.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cards

Pros: These cards are very fast; probably the fastest card that will be available in the 9800GTX series. Extremely cost effective...great "bang for your buck." Bought 2 for my 780i...almost bought a GX2 but have been wanting to run SLI for a while. Everything can be maxed on a 24" display (1920x1200) and run perfectly smooth...Crysis, Vegas 2, Dead Space, Fallout 3 and much more all running well over 40 FPS.

Cons: When I read about the black edition 9800GTX before its release, speculation was that it would contain 1GB GDDR3, not 512MB...good thing 512MB is more than enough for today's games!

Other Thoughts: People keep complaining about the heat. Of course a large, overclocked video card is going to generate a lot of heat. Stock fan speeds are fine for idle temps (around 62*C). Crank up the fan speed for gaming and you're in the clear. Using nTune with the fan speed at 153%, both cards idle around 40*C and hit about 55*C under load...that's not hot at all.

4 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: Does well in GPU intensive games and apps, looks good.

Cons: Friggin huge but most nice GPUs are so not much of a con. Runs very hot at idle 60c but I guess it could be a glitch with nvidias software (doubt it though).

Other Thoughts: Price went down like 30 bucks a week after I bought it...not too happy about that.

5 out of 5 eggsI'd recommend this card for CAD.

Pros: This card is installed in a CAD workstation using Revit. The PC is running Vista Ultimate 64bit and has a 2.4Ghz Quadcore processor with only 4Gb of RAM and this machine just screams.

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggsXfX is the best...

Pros: I love it. Its fast, overclocked, and its BLACK!(had to get it cause im black) lol. I just upgraded from an old X800 from Asus and in doing so its like going from a Ford Pinto to a Lambo Reventon. Haha. I can run all my games on high including Crysis, BF2AIX, and Fear(ya its old)...except Flight Sim X- but from expirience you have to have a pretty high end computer to run that game- Quad Core, SLI or Xfire, and fast DDR2 and a terabyte HDD.

Cons: Its big- ive got an old Lian-Li clone case (Full-ATX) and its has about 3mm of clearance between it and my harddrives. Not to mention the power cables do touch the bays. It also runs hot and I had to move my drives two spaces up to accomodate. But thats nothing for what you get back in return!

Other Thoughts: Love at first sight.

5 out of 5 eggsTop of the line graphics card

Pros: Great graphics for Call of Duty, a serious hardware stresser game. Has 2 DVI ports for dual monitors.

Cons: The size of the card is enormous and had a hard time installing in the case. If installed in slot 2, it covers the SATA ports. If installed in slot 1, it covers the external mobo HD, USB conenctors, preventing their use. Luckily the mobo has sufficient connectors on it, so i dont need the mobo connectors.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you download the latest drivers, for Call of Duty 4.

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: works good, great steady frames. blows the heat out the back instead of into the case like some. so just have an intake fan right next to it and your set. mine also came with a free COD4, which was amazing.

Cons: price, only 60 frames on wow on my 22 inch LCD, but over 100 on COD4, which blew my mind. always thought COD 4 was more graphically intense. meh. hoping a quad core will help with frames a little.

Other Thoughts: using a old xps Gen 4 case, had to make my own holes and stuf for motherboard, but this case has plenty of room, im working on puting another power supply in here, and a liquid cooling system, if i do it right, it will fit.

4 out of 5 eggssuper card

Pros: Runs quiet and cool when not being pushed. XFX quality. I am able to run ArmA on all the highest settings without issue (coupled with a 3.16 Ghz core 2 duo).

Cons: Gets very loud and hot when you actually use it.

Other Thoughts: Be prepared to shuffle some hard drives around to get this thing to fit in even the largest cases.
