4 out of 5 eggsNice Video card for the moneyh

Pros: Good price for a middle of the road graphics card than can kick some booty when comparing to similar cards.
512mb of newer DDR5 memory. Nice amount of streaming processors compared to some Nvidia cards of similar price range.

Cons: Nothing noted as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Good bang for the buck mid range card.
Using on Asus M3A78-EM motherboard. It didn't fair much better than the onboard ATI graphics until I went into the bios and bumped the clock speed from 100mhz to 133mhz. What a difference. The Vista graphics rating went from 4.1 to 5.9 in both Business and Gaming ratings.
I was shocked at the difference. Literally woke this baby up.

5 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm doing an RMA replacement.
They're currently OOS but I don't expect a long wait.

Newegg was fast to respond and provide the RMA. Kudos.
I gave 5 stars because I cannot comment on the quality of the card. As for its DOA, hey, it happens.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent GPU!

Pros: This GPU is a big step above my NVidia 8600GT that I had previously. I haven't been a big fan of ATI. The Radeon HD 4000-series is a much improved line of GPU's. ATI still has a way to go with their Catalyst drivers. I am not a huge PC gamer, but I was able to play Chronnicals of Riddick Dark Athena @ 1024x768 High Detail, x4AA with little hiccup. The GPU was able to maintain pretty close to 60FPS, even in some intense scenes.

Cons: I don't have a PCIe 2.0 compliant mobo.

Other Thoughts: None.

3 out of 5 eggsRadeon HD 4770

Pros: Very powerful video card for the price, when playing some of my older games the performance is ridiculous. Great frame rates when encoding video

Cons: Driver support is not where it should be yet specify in the area of particle effects. When playing HL2 or UT3 it comes to a complete halt even on the most minimum settings. I don’t expect this to be a problem for to long but I strongly feel that these are obvious issues that should have been addressed by the manufacturer prior to releasing the product. Considering the potential of this new chip set I’m disappointed to see it get off to such a rocky start.

Other Thoughts: Get your act together ATI. I had such high hopes for this product.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Price

Pros: I just got this card recently, wish i would have ordered two so im waiting for them to come back in stock.
I have a very low understanding on overclocking. Should I use amd overdrive or leave it at stock?

A bit off topic as well i got a amd phenom x3 2.3ghz, should i use amd overdrive to OC as well? I have a coolermaster hyper tx2

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Must buy. Recommend getting two as the performance is simply amazing for the price

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing

Pros: Easy install, super high quality (don't care what you say about the fan, it's nice to me) super fast gaming.

Cons: Uh... I dunno.. Kinda hard to think of a con for such a great card that only cost $109 and has such great performance.

Other Thoughts: Got the card installed and had it ready to do work in Windows 7 not too long afterwards. The XFX site had the 9.5 drivers up the night before I had gotten it so I had them ready for install. Every game I've tried, I've maxed every setting out at 1280x1024 res with DX10 on (for games that are DX10 that is). I've also played Grand Theft Auto 4 with nearly everything maxed out (not the slider bars, most of those are around half way or a bit lower) and the game runs fantastic on my system surprisingly. If you're looking for a card, this is probably what you're going to want to get.. Forget about nVidia, ATi is where it's at and I'll always go ATi.

AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ 2.6ghz
Kingston 2gig ram
and of course my new baby, the XFX Radeon HD 4770

5 out of 5 eggsFull ATI support

Pros: Someone(bWare) posted some bogus info about this card having no ATI Catalyst support. Well I'm running the 4770 with Catalyst 9.5 drivers and they work beautifully. I wish Newegg would pull that bogus post. This card is simply amazing when crossfired....It's on par with a GTX 280 for $80 less. Check out the review at Toms Hardware 4770 CROSSFIRE ! This is like the days of the 9700 PRO again! Well Done ATI!!!

Cons: none
