2 out of 5 eggsBad Luck

Pros: The 270X is a nice card for the person who wants to game but doesn't want to shell out 400+ dollars, it can play any game out right now, most at highest settings with 60+ FPS. That being said...

Cons: I've been through hell with this card and it was never completely solved but I just about gave up, if I could go back I would have chosen a non-OC edition card.

First of all let me say I'm not blaming XFX, I blame the bitcoin/litecoin/everyothercoin mining fad on the long wait but it should still be explained. I got my first card, I immediately started having problems with it, I would randomly get vertical lines when gaming, this happened once a day at least sometimes more, very annoying when playing League of Legends. After about a week back and forth with support they gave me an RMA, and I sent it back to them.

This is where I blame the bitcoin/litecoin miners, it took XFX 6 WEEKs to get me another card back, they sent me the same model card, it was a new serial number however, and I got nothing else for having to wait, again I wasn't all that upset, however....

I got my new card, I was pumped I could finally have a working card except this card also crashed with vertical lines, but this time it generally happened on the Windows Desktop instead of ingame.

In both cases the card seemed to work fine if I clocked down the memory from the OC out of box 1450 to the non-OC 1400, I don't wanna wait another 6 weeks for a card as I see they are sold out again everywhere.

Other Thoughts: My closing thoughts would be just go for the non overclocked version I don't think these all binned well enough for being overclocked.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cards for the Long Haul

Pros: Fast, even though they are not the top of the line, you will never know the difference. Even better yet run 2 of them in CrossFire.

Cons: I have found none yet, pretty odd for me, I usually find something wrong.

Other Thoughts: I have only ran 2 of these in CrossFire, so I can not comment on the performance of only one. I do know that this is the last AMD card that requires the CrossFire bridge, the 290X does this through the PCIe buss. So if you like the look of the bridge, get this card. If not get the 290X.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: - Lots of card for the money
- Knocks on the door of every game thrown its way, drags it out and beats it into submission
- Easy to install and set up
- AMD is finally getting drivers right or close to right with little tweaking needed
- Cool looking. Not flashy, not ugly. Just right
-Very quiet. Even super loaded, this thing just hums
- Plays Battlefield 4, Hitman: Absolution, Thief, Elder Scrolls Online (I'm beta testing), Sleeping Dogs...all of them on ultra settings with nary a glitch, skip or bump. Max FPS on all games.
- Good availability for the most part.

Cons: It's big so fitting it takes a moment longer than other cards. Not enough of a con to take an egg off and one that any serious gamer or computer geek won't even notice.

Other Thoughts: This is the card I've been waiting for. The last time I had a GPU that I liked this much and met or exceeded my expectations was an Viper AGP card from the mid 90's that allowed me to play Quake to it's full potential in GL. That's about as good of a praise I can give anything.

5 out of 5 eggsR9 270x by XFX :D

Pros: This card is:
Quiet (in the right enviornment see other thoughts)
Powerful runs every game I own on ultra or very high (see other thoughts
Cool.
256 bit
this is the black edition which comes with a factory oc of 1100mhz
can do crossfire

Cons: This card knows no cons. runs like a charm.

Other Thoughts: I have run AC4 on maximum settings all around (excluding anti aliasing) BF4 on ultra/very high and Crysis 3 on very High.
My build is slightly bottlenecks this gpu due to my amd A10 6700 giving in at times on some games. I would highly recomend an fx 4300 or better on the amd side, or an i5 on the intel side.

5 out of 5 eggsJust as expected.

Pros: Works great and does exactly as it says on the tin. Overclocking is simple. It is more quiet than I expected. Then again, I was previously using a leaf blower as my GPU! (I was using an XFX 6870 with a shroud.)

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It took me a while to realize what the heck power control was. It's not the same as setting voltage, so be careful when altering this setting. I've left mine alone, mostly. Although bumping it up to 3-5% seems to help during intense gaming, it has also crashed once.

Hopefully that was a fluke. I don't think extra power consumption would kill my card that quickly.. but I'll leave that for a later review if it does happen.

5 out of 5 eggsPower House

Pros: This card has 2 90mm fans and runs super quite even when it is pushed to the max. I got this card for the lifetime warranty. No hiccups yet!

Cons: Had issue when installing the driver from cd Got the blue screen of death, also had an error of MMLoadDrv:MMLoadDrv.exe - Bad image
I fixed this by doing a system restore and running the current downloaded drivers from the website. This fixed the problem and has ran perfect ever since

Other Thoughts: I run a amd fx-8320 processor, 16GB ram, and 2 of these cards. Runs games great with a high fps on ultra settings. I am loving this also for the game making process allows me to use better graphics and also the use of mantle I am just starting to play around with really excited

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate on 1st review

Pros: So it has been 2 weeks with this card and not a hiccup yet. Mantle beta drivers released yesterday and mantle absolutely boosted performance in bf4.

As far as mining goes I can get 440k/h with the single card in a closed case running around 75c mining litecoins. I added in my old xfx 5770, that is still running strong after years of gaming, to see how the 270x would react to the second card. Gets a bit tougher to control temps but that is expected in any multicard setup. With slight adjustments I was able to get back down to 75c only losing 20k/hash. I'll be picking up 4 of these for a dedicated open air miner.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This card is incredible whether your gaming or mining, it is well worth the money. There are many other cards out there but I stick with xfx for their lifetime warranty, not that I have had a single xfx card fail on me yet. Still nice to know XFX stands by their products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Just purchased this a day ago and it was delivered next day which is awesome thanks new egg. Fired up BF4 and it runs pretty sweet so much so I'm trading in my PS4 copy to enjoy it on my PC. I will update review in the coming months after I push this card to the test. EASY INSTALL AND SUPER QUIET

Cons: None so far
