5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Silent with no 'heat pipe whine'. The 4670 line is also extremely low power, and this card follows suit with that. Furthermore, I only own one, but I've seen benchmarks that show that two of these in CF mode can rival much higher powered & faster lines of cards.

Cons: RAM speed is slower than a normal 4670. This leads to about ~10% less performance in games, but that's an acceptable trade-off to me for not having to listen to a noisey fan. Also, the heat is long enough that it almost (under 1cm apart) touches my RAM on my motherboard.

Other Thoughts: HDMI works fine & gives clear audio through the dvi->hdmi converter. Runs between 50deg 70deg Celsius, depending on load.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I was running 2 ati 2900xt crossfired. I was getting some Fps issue on some games. A friend of mine suggested this card. I am only running one of these atm but my frame rates have jumped on all games a huge amount. I will be buying another one cant wait to get it. GREAT VALUE!

Cons: Card Is big make sure you have the space. Especially if you are gonna run two. 2 fit into mine with ease ;D

Other Thoughts: At this price you cant get a better deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Video Card

Pros: Just purchased this for a 2nd HTPC. No noise, handles audio properly if you are feeding it directly to the HDMI, excellent 1080p performance and handles Halo2 at max settings - have not tried any other games.
No VGA port. Helpful if you turn on the PC before you turn on your TV. Cards with VGA typically default to the VGA port when it does not see anything on the DVI port so you wind up with a black screen.

Cons: Look carefully at the pictures before you order it. The heatsink is understandably large. It just misses my RAM.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card, cumbersome heatsink.

Pros: Quiet! Perfect for my HTPC.
Powerful.
Decent price compared to my 4890.

Cons: Doesn't fit the top PCI-E slot because the heatsink extends over the memory slots of my SLI-Premium mobo.

Worst heatpipes I've ever seen. I thought they had been cut off.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a wonderful card if you can run it. Luckily I have two 16x PCI-e slots on my mobo, so it's running in the lower slot. I hope I can still fit two TV Wonder 650 pcie cards and an X-Fi sound card as well.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: Silent, Low temperature, but Powerful enough.
I upgraded to this card from a Nvidia 7600, the temperature dropped from 60C to 53C in my small shuttle XPC case. The performance change is huge. I am not a heavy gamer, just play CS:S, Call of Duty 4 and etc. It runs them in max settings with no problems.
Not only cool, it's efficient. I am running it on a 300W psu, with 12V 18am with no problems what so ever. Ths PSU is running with the same temperature and noise as bofore. The size is right, it just fit in my case :)

Cons: a little bit pricy, but the cooler is really nice :)

Other Thoughts: Shuttle XPC sn68sg2
AMD Athlon x2 5200+ Brisbane @ 2.7 stock frequency.
HIS Radeon HD 4670 1G DDR3
2G Corsior 6400 Ram
WD 250G x2 hard drives
LG DVD RW

5 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Silent running. Works well with dual boot of Windows 7, and XP. I am not a heavy gamer, just Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, and CC. It plays these games perfect on high settings.
Movies play flawlessly, netflix, Hulu etc. all good.

Cons: Only con is that it takes up 2 PCI slots due to the large heatsink system.

Other Thoughts: This card stays cool in my new build with two fans going, and good airflow case. Get it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Passively-Cooled Card!

Pros: I purchased this item because it is passively-cooled using the Zalman VNF100 fin design and emits no noise at all. It runs several degrees cooler than the old ATI 2600 Pro it replaced. Works extremely well with both Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Cons: -none-

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this GPU if you desire high-performance graphics and no noise issues.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: All works as planed and my system will last a few more years.

5 out of 5 eggsIT FITS

Pros: IT FITS in my Shuttle XPC HTPC case! I finally bought a 1080 projector, so I needed to upgeade my graphics. I went from a 4350 to this 4670. Went from 33 fps in Half Life 2 to 80 fps.

Fit is very tight. Had to pull my drive caddy to install, then needed an extra hand to put a little pressure on the side of the card when putting the caddy back in place. Once it's in, it fits like it was built for the case. No more than 1/16th of an inch of clearance in some parts, but nothing touches. Didn't bother with the drivers on the disk or in Windows 7, got them straight from ATI.

Cons: Had to run Half Life 2 in 32 bit mode to get it to run. Can't count this against anyone, as there are other known issues with running 64 bit half life 2.

No chance of using my PCI slot. The PCI slot is on "top" of the PCIe slot, so this cooling setup covers it. The PCIe slot is right up against the side of the case, so this was by far my best option.

I could not find anyone documenting if this card fit my case. There are reports that the Saphire 4670 card with passive cooling does NOT fit. This one looked smaller in the particular dimention that the Saphire hit, so i bit. It worked!

Other Thoughts: Specs:
Shuttle XPC case w/ heat pipe cooling.
Intel E5200 Dual Core CPU (2.5 ghz, not OC'd)
4 GB RAM (800 mhz, not OC'd)
LG BluRay/HD DVD combo drive
7200.12 1TB HDD (silent!)
HIS 4670 1GB
Stock 300w PSU
Windows 7 RC 1

I can't comment on heat yet. No problems so far. Idles at 51', runs around 60' in Assassins Creed. I will update if I have trouble.

I had some concerns over the suitability of the orientation of the heat pipes when installed verticle, rather than horrizontal like most cases. I don't know enough about the thermal dynamics of heat pipes to know if this should work or not. For now, it looks like it works. Which means I need to look more in to exactly where the liquid-gas and gas-liquid phase changes happen. I has assumed that the liquid would evaporate near the GPU, rise to the condenser, and run back down the tubes to the GPU. If this is true, I have no idea how this can function in my installation. There is nothing from HIS on the installation orien

3 out of 5 eggsMeh -- pretty good. I guess....

Pros: Silent. Low power. Great performance per watt.

Cons: You pay a significant premium to go fanless.

I wish the heat sink was on the front of the card rather than the back. I installed an after market CPU cooler to keep everything cool and quiet. Well, unfortunately, the way everything is oriented, the CPU cooling fan sucks air right off this video card, which makes the CPU run hotter. Lame.

On a good note, the video card drivers do a good job of cooling the card down. They must throttle things down somehow. Before installing the video card drivers, things were running quite hot.

Other Thoughts: If I had it to go all over again, I'd probably just buy a 4670 video card with a very quiet fan -- especially one of those double thickness ones that would vent the heat out the back.
