1 out of 5 eggsWell, I'll be avoiding this manufacturer in the future

Pros: It seemed to work great at first glance

Cons: I noticed odd problems with the fps, it would stutter in first person games when turning, or in games that had a lot of textures.
Somewhere along the line, the card stopped functioning in anything but PCIe x1 bus setting. It's effectively useless now, since this problem renders most games released in the last two years unplayable.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Shrek of Video cards

Pros: Powerful cooling
Great power for the price
Made to power through DX11 games

Cons: Big
Kinda ugly

Other Thoughts: This is a big guy with some ugly aesthetics. I put this in a Cooler Master HAF 912 case, and I had to move the bottom hard drive mount to get to fit. But once it was in, this big guy hasn't let me down. It can play BF3, D3, and ToR on High settings. I don't put anything on Ultra, so I can't speak to it's power there (Too much shinny is bad for the K/D ratio).

2 out of 5 eggsDefective and loud fan

Pros: It ran all my games at ultra setting (including skyrim) at 60 fps+. It did its job admirably at 1080p

Cons: Like people have said, it is rather hard to remove the PCI-E cables once they are connected. It is large, but it fit into my mid-sized case easily.Overall, the only reason that I gave it 2 eggs is because the card that I received had a defective fan that would rattle like an angry snake whenever it was under any load. If this card was quiet like others have said it is, I would have given it 5 eggs simply for the inherent value.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card!

Pros: This video card is the coolest card I have ever owned. Some people say that the cooler on it is ugly, but once you see the temperatures of this card at max load, you won't care what it looks like. I took a gamble at buying this card as I have never bought an HIS video card before. Jackpot.

Cons: This card is rather long and is just a hair fatter than 2 PCIe slots, which made installing my soundcard right next to it a real pain (although it can be done). Also the way the cooler is, it makes it real hard to remove the PCIe cords unless you have some needle nose pliers.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a fast, yet inexpensive card, get this one. You'll love it.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat card

Pros: the card will run great smooth cool and fairly quiet
i have no intentions of oc it but ran furmark on max on all setting out of the box and averaged 30 fps no matter what i chose and i used a 47 inch tv for burn in and at 1280 aa 8 i still got 30fps

Cons: awfully flimsy have not decided how to deal with it if your not planning on moving the pc alo should not be an issue

Other Thoughts: seems as if they had made the plastic guard more stiff it would have increased the stability of the card

4 out of 5 eggsGood Performance

Pros: Great combination of the 3 P's. Price, performance, and power use. Runs Skyrim with HD texture pack, ENB enhancement, and SSAO, @ high general settings. Cooler works well @ stock settings (have not needed to OC).

Cons: Card is large, (barely cleared my HD cages in a Cooler Master Centurian case).

Other Thoughts: Have not had any driver issues with any games I play.

5 out of 5 eggsBest boost for an old PC

Pros: I have a ~6 year old PC with an Athlon FX-60 cpc... but thanks to this card, I'm able to run Skyrim perfectly and smoothly on pretty high settings. This card so far is amazing. For a mere 200ish, this card is such a steal.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall very satisfied

Pros: I think this is a good quality card overall. It has been running perfectly fine these past two weeks. It overclocks well though I have no need for it right now. I just wanted to test the limits. I achieved 30% overclock with no problem.

Cons: The card is kind of ugly with the plastic housing. The fan is a little louder than I would like even at 40%. It added noticeable noise to my rather quiet case.

Not the end of the world. I do realize I was upgrading from a much smaller card that required less cooling (Powercolor 4830). In games, the fan stays 50% or below most of the time. This is a pro to me. Haven't seen temps exceed 70C in BF3 MW3 or SWTOR. The card's cooling seems to be good quality.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a good card when it is on sale. I got it when the price was $169 with a 20MIR. At $150 out the door, I think it is a good purchse. There are several other brands that are equal or better than this one in it's price bracket.

Just get whichever is cheaper. They are all good quality.

And until something changes with the 12.XX drivers, just stick with the 8.93 Nov. 18 catalyst drivers. They are still the best performing and stable of the lot.

My setup:
i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz
Asrock Extreme 3 Gen 3 Z68 Mobo
G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB DDR3 1600
Mushkin Chronos 120GB SATA3 SSD
WD Caviar Black 500GB SATA HDD
WD Caviar Blue 320GB SATA HDD
HIS Radeon HD6870
COrsair 520HX PSU

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Upraged from HIS IceQ 4670, big performance increase. Plays all my games on maximum settings. Idles @ 39 degrees celcius & only goes up to 65 with max load (5 hours+ of gaming).

Passmark #2 rated best value high end video card.

Drivers were easy to install, so far game coupon process seems to be straight forward.

Cons: Its big. only takes up 2 PCI-E slots, but in length.. it's big.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you take measurements of available space around your PCI-E slot. Or you will end up having to move your hard drive & rip out a big chunk of your case to get it to fit... like me.

Definatly not a con, or worth taking off an egg. This card just was not designed for small or medium size cases.
